😢 I really admire your honesty in making these videos (as you know a lot of UA-cam hiking videos are fake!). You care so much for Linkka and Odezza and it must be so heartbreaking to have to leave Odezza behind. I had a similar experience too, my dog Fuji got injured during our multi-day hikes once and I felt so guilty about it because I felt like I could’ve taken better care/prevent the injury :( Anyway I’ve seen more recent photos on IG of you and your 2 girls rocking it in the snow on more winter hikes so I’m glad Odezza is all good now!
Luckily you had a friend who would drive so far for you!! She is a real friend! Hope all is going well for you at home these days and you are feeling well and healthy!👍👍
Oh what a shame, can feel the sadness because you were a team but you put the dog first, it had to be done, it shows how much the dogs mean to you, total respect.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful video with us, Maiu. It was really moving seeing how much you cared for your dogs, and for Odezza in particular in this case. I think in your editing you did very well dealing with the fact that those of us who follow you on Instagram already knew what was coming.
I like how you've become more relaxed and candid in front of the camera. I think we are really seeing the real you and your personality, rather than a TV presenter style presentation that most UA-camrs go for... it's much more natural and more like accompanying you on the trip.
Always look forward to your adventures ,your dogs did awesome, you made the right decision with odessa.you have something to look forward to at the finish, she'll be waiting for you.all the best to you
Such awesome friends you have, and are able, and willing, to call upon! The effort that you put into making and sharing these videos, both physical and mental, is truly appreciated. Loved the little "dance" to flatten the snow for the camp. The tent set up segment at double-time, and accompanying music reminded me of old silent movies, brilliant. Stay happy.
Lesson of the day: never-ever use post nord. We had to use them in the past because that was the only delivery method a foreign pet store used. Within a few years more packets were lost / delivered days or weeks late / delivered to wrong location than they managed to deliver successfully on time. Twice they even claimed that they tried to deliver the package directly to our home but nobody answered the doorbell. Both of the cases were lies because in both cases someone was at home on standby waiting for the delivery. Not an optimal way of burning vacation-days... What was the solution? We changed the pet store, We now pay more for the food, but at least we can be sure we actually get what we paid for...
It is tough when you realise that they are getting to old to go on hikes, especially when its a husky. Our eldest Husky passed a few months ago, its not the same going out without them.
@@MaiuLunekund Ah I mistyped, just our eldest boy passed...we still have three lunatics so no shortage of volunteers for hiking companions. Hope Odessda is better now and enjoying herself.
Do you blame yourself for not having dog goggles from the beginning? Are there other things you would consider critical failures in planning or preparation for the trip? We make mistakes, small and large but if we learn and avoid repeating the same mistakes, we call that growth and progress. 🤔 Maybe you'll make a post-expedition video analyzing what was done right/wrong and what you'd do different if you were to do the Kungsleden again. Besides it's value to you, it would be excellent information for anyone planning a similar trip.
you need "Doggles" for the dogs to protect there eyes.. they are goggles for dogs. sunglasses ect for harsh conditions.... keep their eyes safe LOL very funny you ordered them... I stopped the video when you showed her eyes.. and then when i continued you were on top of it WELL DONE < J
@@MaiuLunekund I started a similar comment and before I could finish it, you were talking about goggles so I erased it and continued watching. Normally, I won't make any comment until the end and this proves that's a good policy.
@@MaiuLunekund Oh good ... I've been a little bit worried about you and your beautiful girls. Blessings. I love to watch your adventures by the way ... and share them with family. I'm looking forward to future videos and adventures, of yours. =)
They have a double fur coat that actually makes so they wouldn't need anything extra to keep them warm during winter time. They can curl up as huskies do to keep as much warth as possible the natural way. Adding jackets will help them burn less calories during the night. I don't believe in dog sleeping bags, they are very cumbersome to use and usually dogs don't like to sleepn in there. Warm jackets are much more convenient! Plus a sleeping mat underneath and they are more than comfortable 😴

You have such a beautiful relationship with your dogs. Thanks for being such a caring person and thanks for sharing your videos of this adventure.

Snow & dogs make me happy. Thanks.
Although tough, u made the right decision to protect Odezza's eyes! Trust u and the pups r taking a well-deserved rest!
Sorry about you guys not to finish together. It was awesome for your friends helping. 🐕

I'm sure Odezza wanted to finish with the family.
Proud you decided to continue the journey.
Love that you love. 🌹
Happy Trails. 🤠
Totally awesone!
You are a good dig person to think of their health so thoroughly. Much safety to you all

Butter. The fella that pulled his own sled to the north pole ate sticks and sticks of butter.
Yep, butter was my favourite, too.
@@MaiuLunekund I rarely eat straight butter but just recently had about 1-2 grams w/o anything else.. OMG is was soo good!
Wow that is tough- keep it up.....
Wow, this is insanely beautiful video. Congrats 👌👌
Thank you!
Bedankt
😢I had to cry with you. Felt how you feel. ❤
Is there a final video - where you finish the trail?
It's coming! It is still in the works 😅
“Was it worth it?”
Yes it was.
How do the dogs stay warm, and do their feet get injured being in the snow all the time? Great video, hope your pup is doing well now.

what is the weight of your sled?
Depending on the supplies my gear in total (incl some in my packpack) was somewhere between 40-50kg.
@@MaiuLunekund That sounds a lot for one dog. Will there be more rest stops?
Maiu, how come you put a jacket on your dogs at night and not use a sleeping bag?
