- I made this video for all those who want to quickly learn about the role of Saturn in the Vedic Horoscope. I also made it for all those who are going through a challenging phase of Saturn. I picked up 8 important facts on Saturn which I tell each one of my client. I have been working on this video for several days due to lack of time and when I finally uploaded it I noticed that I did it on 17th (8) when the Star on this day was Uttarabhadra the 26th Star. Salutation to Lord Shani. Indeed Shani (Saturn) is the most important planet in your horoscope.

It's my personal belief that trying to appease Saturn by chanting mantras, worshipping certain deities etc is akin to making efforts to bribe an honest judge. Since Saturn is karmakarak, the best way to balance its energy is by serving stray and helpless animals, abstaining from meat and helping the poor and the needy SELFLESSLY without any expectations of reward for doing "good karma". When people do charity to feed their ego, Saturn is not pleased. Our ego is ruled by the Sun and any action that is motivated by the ego will not please Saturn. Saturn crushes our ego. No wonder Saturn and Sun are inimical. This could be the reason why remedies for Saturn may not work like they usually do in the case of other planets. Further, Saturn rules judiciary and law. As a slow moving planet, it delays its results but does not deny. It's well known that in our country and probably the world over, justice is often delayed by many many years.

I would like to add that the only thing I had possible disagreements with in this video, is his reference to English numerology. Why not Indian numerology, such as kaṭapayādi number system. Also, why not refer to the sounds of Śani according to the Sanskrit alphabet. Śani rules the labial sounds, such as ba bha, pa, pha (not f) and ma. I wonder if those are connected to events triggered by Śani.

+Srikanth K It was deliberate. Blue is the auspicious color of Saturn. Black and Grey are the inauspicious side of Saturn. But not for all people. For example darkness is good for sleep.

Thank you sir for your response.Sir, I learnt basic of Astrology for an year. I have Jagannatha Hora software. After learning basics and attending advanced course in astrology, I came to know of the depth and complexity of the subject and gave up. But I am still a firm believer in this Devine science. Now I am viewing videos on astrology for the past 20 days. I tried predictions for my own family members ( my son,husband and of course self) which were always wrong. I loved this video because I always feel like I’m one of the very few people who loves Saturn! I’m a Sun and Moon Aquarius and I have Saturn retro in my 1st house, Mars and Mercury in Capricorn, so I’m pretty familiar with Saturn.:) When people talk about how bad their first Saturn return was I’m never surprised because like how you said, Saturn is only bad if you have been bad. I had a great job offer during my Saturn return and all I can remember was great memories from those few years. I mean not only it was my first return but he transited my first house, opposed my Sun, etc. which are all feared Saturn stuff and yet I had great times. But, why? because again like how you said it in the end, I’ve devoted my life to animals (6th house Capricorn with Mars and Merc.). Sure, I help peope as well but most of my daily routine revolves around animals of all kinds. I love Saturn and he loves me. Simple as that. And, in a few years he’ll move into Aquarius, will conjunct my Sun and Moon and I know I’m gonna have the best time of my life.

I appreciate your time and effort in educating us. My dad once said to me that I have Saturn in 5th house from Lagna (Mithuna Lagna). Well I do have kuja graha effect and married at age 29. My dad believes,my Saturn Maha dasha of 19 years which is going to start from 2019 will bring me good. I don't know how it will be but at present life is almost challenging.
bobby8104 Basic knowledge of Astrology is very easy to grasp. You do not have to depend on your father. Learn Vedic Astrology, upto a particular level it is very simple like any subject or game. Learn to read your horoscope, after all it is your horoscope. So why not study it.

In anticipation of your Saturn Live Stream on 3/26, I watched this today. At the close, where you admonish us to do acts of charity on Saturdays, instead of attending social events and celebrations, I thought of the tradition here in the West where most marriages take place on Saturday.
While the rate of divorce is very hard to quantify, Professor of Sociology Paul R. Amato did a study that shows that the percentage of ever-divorced adults in the US is 22%. His work also shows that the cohort measure rate, which is a projection, suggests a rate as high as 40-50% over the lifetime of the cohort. Perhaps we should rethink this tradition of Saturday marriages.
+Nelson It is just a re-arrangement. Saturdays are kept aside for social service activities. If we enjoy on that day it contradicts Saturday. So Saturn will contradict us. As simple as that. Saturn is a separating planet. So marriage and Saturdays will not go together. Don't worry even in India, the land of Astrology now-a-days you see many marriages on Saturdays. We will soon catch up with the USA in terms of divorce rate. Unless a revolution in Astrology happens.
Nice videos Sir. I have one question, to which I couldn't find in an answer in BPHS. Does a planet sitting in its own house in Bhava chart cancel the effects of Kendra adhipati Dosha? The internet says, it does. I mean, various pages. But, I want to know what Maharshi Parashara said about this(if he has) . If he hasn't, then your opinion would do.

Question: Somewhere early in the video you commented that - Lord Shani is slower next to Rahu and Ketu. Rahu Mahadasha is 18 years and Ketu MahaDasha is 7 years duration. Where as Shani Mahadasha is 19 years duration. How do you interpret the Mahadasha timings across them with their speed?
Sir, I always enjoy your very informative videos. I am going through Saturn Maha dhasha, my Moon in Taurus, Ascendant in Gemini with Ketu. Saturn is transiting over Rahu in my 7th house Saggitarius. But fortunately in my Birth chart Saturn is exalted in Libra. i was born on the 8th of December. At this moment of time almost everything is centered around Lord Saneeswaran. Will it be beneficial if i wear blue Sapphire (kak nil) during this 3 yr Saturn period. Please advise?

Sir, for a Thiruvona nakshatra Makara Raasi person born with Saturn in Kumbha Raasi in his horoscope, is THAT the first cycle of Sade Saathi? Or does the first cycle come only in the next time when Saturn reaches Dhanus next?

I had testing time during saturn dasa My school days were really struggle..but in the end gave me a good job.Marriage was fixed during saturn dasa but got married in budha dasa. last saturn transit in 10th house gave me hard time in office for almost 1.5 years and was forced to take transfer and last 1 year was reasonable period. my dob is on 04-06-1983. 4:36pm. i just shared my experience. At the end of the day my experiences have given me detachment to certain extent , interest in spirituality and astrology also. It is very complicated as no divisional chart should be read separately from the RASI CHART and BHAVA Chart.
I started reading this lesson at 8.00 hrs night right now.
Perhaps it is a good idea to add that if Sani is a Raja Yoga Karaka (Thula Lagna, Rishaba Lagna) or is well placed then all the evil effects will be greatly minimized. So is an aspect of Guru.
What about personal year or month 8 in numerology? Saturn transiting 150 and 135 degree aspect to the sun or moon brings challenging times as well. I notice this from my own experience.

I am always punished on the days other than 8,17,26 and not on Saturdays and never between 15 th January to March. I am not aware of nakashtras as mentioned. But I can surely say Saturn can punish anyday not constrained to time , date ,month

Sir, of late have been watching your videos..pushyam star is the 8th star and it also happens to be the star of saturn. Is that the reason that it is believed that people born in this star have too many struggles in their life? What about moon being in pushyam..does it give rise to punarpu dosham which again is considered a malific combination. Dear Sir, I was born on 26th September 1983. In my rasi chart Saturn is in my 11th house which is Thulam and it is exalted. My lagna is Dhanur and Saturn is lord of my 2nd and 3rd house. By 3rd aspect it sees my lagna, 7th aspect sees my Rasi Mesham and 10th aspect sees my 8th house.
In my Navamsa lagna is leo, Shani is in 5th house from leo which is in Dhanur. Shani Aspects my 7th, 11th and 2nd house. Being Mars is yogaraka for Leo asdendant which is 10th house from lagna aspects Shani by its 8th sight.
From my school days till now something good happens to me associated with number 8. My +2 register number total 8, college role number 8 and register number total 8, first salary 8000.

My son born 26th Dec Saturday with global developmental delay with myself starting sade sathi. I am not happy as I never mock or talk bad of anyone( I swear). Always pray for others ( those who approach me for the same know). Saturn and my boys issues now changed me into an entirety different person. I don't feel to help or pray for others. Learned to stay selfish. And I have realised there is no going back into my old soul. I would rather die. For me Saturn has thought to 'not help anyone whatsoever the matter be, to be selfish, not to pray for others, to be loyal to ones self and it's stupid to live straight forward and not lying' Enough of what I had through this sade sathi. Humanity has vanished from my soul. I don't know, I don't have the feeling for others. But I never expected anything for what good I did and always was thankful at least I was able to... but seeing my son suffer I am forced to ask '" what good do my loved once getting for me being good. I don't want anything for myself I never asked for, but to see our loved once suffer painful. To lead a life of simplicity, prayers and well wishes for others it is what I am getting. I wish I could have lived the other way at least today I will have the relief saying to myself all these is for your bad deeds. The belief in God is diminishing. Thanks to sade sathi. I don't do anything to please any God. When I did and the result seems to be so. There's no point in all these. ( my personal view. Please others don't take it personally). The pain can't be erased....😢😢😢

Hi, You said that Saturn might trouble most when it is in 8th or 12th house. Is it from Lagna in birth chart? or you meant the transit from moon?
***** This one applies to both. However from Ascendant means you should refer to Vimsottari Dasha and know the results. From Moon refer to Ashtakavarga and then know the final result.

Those may never show up. If many incidents tally with your horoscope then there is no need to do birth time rectification.
