But then, what exactly does he know about the Uchiha massacre, and how did he learn about it? We never were told about him knowing or reacting to the Uchiha Massacre or mentioning it to Hashirama. Such a shame.

(spoilers) Yeah actually Madara did help make the Uchiha massacre happen. In the two light novels about itachi's life you find out that madara helped orchestrate the massacre (through obito) by riling up the most combative members and giving them ideas about uchiha superiority. He did this to get revenge for when the clan turned their backs on him when he left Konoha. Itachi figured it out and met with fake Madara, and made a deal that Madara would help him complete the massacre (at this point Itachi was already backed into a corner vis a vis the massacre. He really did try everything to avoid it). Tobi ended up killing the women and children leaving the adult men/shinobi to Itachi

Sasuke should’ve teamed up with Madara and Obito. They would’ve won the war, it wouldn’t matter if naruto was on the other side: he can’t beat Madara, Sasuke and Obito all at once in sage of six paths form.
But Sasuke fought against them and still won the war. Also Black Zetsu would've revived Kaguya and everyone would've lost if Sasuke didn't oppose Madara and get the rinnegan from almost dying
