In the recent past I bought some cheap and cheerful Zara sweaters in colors and simple patterns, stripes and checks, that I love, but was unable to wear them comfortably on my body (I since learned that I’m allergic to polyester and acrylic, and they overheat me within a minute or two, anyway). So, I now wear them over my shoulders on top of a shirt, polo top or tee, or a breathable, natural-fiber sweater, as you suggest and show here, and they still add the interesting color and pattern that helps tie my outfit together. The sweater over the shoulders look always suggests to me classy Europeans strolling in the passeggiata on a summer evening, it’s a great, classic look. I love a preppy look, except for those American novelty prints with anchors, lobsters, etc. on them, they’re a bit much. I love your style, Agnes, because it perfectly suits women of any age, the classics always do.
Hi Kimberly, I’m also guilty of buying cheap sweaters made of synthetic materials, which I regret. I now always look at the tag to ensure it’s made of fibers that feel nice on the body and are more in line with nature. I’m glad you enjoyed the outfits. I love the addition of the scarf to the black outfit and brown leather jacket, it softens the look just the right amount and looks so classy. Silk scarves are some of my favorite accessories. I wear them a lot this time of year, when it’s still cold enough to need cashmere and merino, the layer of silk prevents my neck getting the irritation that even high-quality versions of these sweaters can cause. Plus, I love how they soften and feminize my quite tailored style, and add a little color and pattern to my mostly solid colored items. (I wear a silk knit long-sleeved tee under sweaters because of my sensitive skin, but they don’t protect the neck. I have only one silk turtleneck, and am looking for more, but it’s the wrong season).

I recently purchased the same cropped trench coat from Cuyana as the one you showed on this video. However, I was so sad to return it since I liked the unique design and the details. I am petite and XS was still too big for me and it was the smallest size they had. The trench coat really looks good on you❤ I love how you coordinated it with pants and t-shirt/shirt for spring.
