    I own one of these. Bought it for my 11 year old daughter. I can assure you doubters that this ACE is not Chinese junk. Very solid, very well built and holds up to abuse well. Many of you I see are complaining about the top speed and seem to think it's to slow. Trust me, 30 mph on a Michigan 50" wide trail is fast! That speed is much more than you realize when navigating between tight trees. I love the LED, always on headlights. Makes her very visible when in areas of heavy wooded trails. My only complaint is ground clearance. Another inch or two would be nice. Not all kids are physically big enough to handle a full size machine and this is a good fit.

      John Doe Sorry for the slow response. We have never encountered anything too large/steep so I can't answer that honestly. But, on moderate, medium size hills that flow with the trail it pulls along and climbs with ease.

      Mike Dee We've had ours for over a year now. Zero issues. I'd have to estimate around 250 miles on it (based on my odometer, I'm always along for trail rides). We pretty much always ride the Michigan ORV trail system, primarily the trails maintained at 50" wide. This has been a great machine. It draws a lot of attention from others we encounter mostly because so many people don't even realize this machine exist. It handles anything we throw at it.

  • @ProbeGT2
    @ProbeGT2 7 років тому

    It's nice but, can it climb properly?
    I mean, like those chineese 150 atvs, they have decent power once they are moving but if you stall them in a hill, you are in trouble.

    • @jbouchard4877
      @jbouchard4877 7 років тому +1

      Doesn't look like it's intended to do the things a bigger machine can do. It's a small 2wd with less than 150ccs. Climbing big hills would be just stupid.

    • @ProbeGT2
      @ProbeGT2 7 років тому

      J Bouchard I don't mean rock climbing but I would expect it to be able to ride with daddy on a moderate trail. Also if it's too underpowered you will burn off the clutch very quickly. Those things are built with scooter engines relying on a cvt and centrifugal clutch. Not enough torque will cook the clutch.

    • @jbouchard4877
      @jbouchard4877 7 років тому

      ProbeGT2 well seeing that most manufacturers don't recommend climbing a hill steeper than 25 degrees. I'm sure this one is capable of doing the same. Even though we know that most people ride their atvs on much steeper hills than that. That being said. Polaris has no requirements in making this model climb anything steeper.

    • @ProbeGT2
      @ProbeGT2 7 років тому

      J Bouchard Well after lookimg some youtube videos it appears that it has enoight torque and is geared properly to get trough most hills you'd encounter in a trail.

    • @mudpup545
      @mudpup545 7 років тому +1

      ProbeGT2 I've put one of these machines to the test the past 2 weekends on the trail system here in Michigan. The trails we rode are 50" wide with a mix of wider two track and snowmobile trails as connectors. My daughter and son, on separate trips put on nearly 100 miles. (No odometer but, my dirt bike and GPS record miles). I can assure you that this ACE is more than capable of handling typical off road trail riding. Plenty of power and low end torque that got them through anything. There were sections with downed trees from a storm so we had to make our own path around. It handled moderate, small log crossings and some nasty, muddy sections with ease. No, it won't climb over huge logs but, it is what it is. Our rides never encountered any steep hills, the area of Michigan we rode has mild elevation changes and this 150 did well. I see a lot of people are complaining about the top speed or supposed lack of. I can assure you that 30 mph is much more than needed on a heavily wooded trail system. Having a machine that does 80 means nothing when navigating tight trails because that speed will never be reached anyways. This not a cheap, farm store ATV. It is built very well and is a good, solid off road vehicle for kids.

      Very agreeable. I mean, when I was 11 my knees hit the handlebars on my little sister's Polaris 90 that had a recommended age category of no younger than 12. I'm not sure what was going through their head back then, hopefully they have made them a bit bigger in the years they have been making them. I started riding my Honda 450r at 15 years old, I don't see a problem with an age category as long as you have the brains to control an engine that big you can ride anything

      The culture of riding has changed. Manufacturers are more concerned about safety because so many people have sued them. When in all actuality the majority of those accidents and injuries could have been prevented if the rider had made the choice to ride responsibly. I was allowed to ride larger machines as a child (I'm 23) and I was confined to a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy. I admit that I had a few close calls as a teenager due to my own poor decisions. But I never blamed my machine for my poor decision-making.

    • @gijoempy
      @gijoempy 5 років тому

      Because unfortunately some states won’t let you operate an ATV that is rated above your age. For example, most side-by-side’s are rated ages 16 and up. So unless you have lots of private property to ride it on, they may need to get something that they can legally ride on public land
