I started driving when I was 12 as it wasn't a criminal offence to drive if you had never held a licence only if you was disqualified so I'd just pay the fine which was the same as about 12mths rego for a 6cyl vehicle
Farrrrr out I remember watching this on TV. My brother was almost old enough to drive and I was about to miss out on this scene entirely by the time I got my license. 😂

no, those were the days. i'm from the Sth Island CHCH and for decades now if you get seen "lapping" you get fined or your car towed. by lapping i mean even if your drive around at night at weekends around the main avenues and get seen twice by the police i'ts over. totally N to the A to the Z-I state of affairs and i can't connect those letters or i will be banned, just like everything these days.

I've slowed down my driving due to kids and wife in the car. But I do see these kids doing utter ridiculous shit during the day. Saw one in one of those stock standard Toyota they seem to like these days inches away from a head on in town. I did reckless shit but man we did respect others on the road and did our stuff away from general public.
They mislabeled it, assuming its an ep71 non turbo with most of the turbo S bodykit on it plus paint then it would actually still be fairly common(minus the kit) and would explain the 5k she spent not including the cost of car. Definitely not an ep82 gt turbo but there is always the possibility its even rarer than that and a genuine turbo S without the bonnet, but then the 5k minus cost of car doesnt make much sense as she said she spent all the money on looks.
Still pretty big, but its full of fuckwits now, dudes beating up truck drivers, burning shit stuff like that. Guess when all they've got is utes and falcons then it is no longer about cars.

Makes you appreciate how much car technology has improved for the better hey. These cars by today's performance standards are rocks (talking about some of the turbo cars featured). A VW Golf R with a tune and engine performance kit will run a low 10sec 1/4 mile for less $$$ as what you could spend 20 years ago.
