I'm based in Perth where we have a ton of sun all year round, and constant wind, lol
I have a standard round scrim so if I shoot with it, I really have to go in tight, but it definitely creates a beautiful look.
I shall start looking into these bigger scrims.

For the bounce outside I would rather backlight the subject and then use the bounce to wrap around the front.
I'm curious why at the beginning you disassembled the ears and corners. Was that just a demonstration that was never explained? I just got this kit and it packs up nicely; it seems like that step is unnecessary, but wondering if I'm missing something.

Which grid cloth you get ? I got a matthews 1/4 silent grid but it ripped first try
