Black on the air looks good.
The guy hauling big is what those trucks can do.
Good Cummins👍He growls great
You need one more vertical grille bar on that Pete & Snow caps on those Air horns
Ooooo some polished valve covers and that turbo crossover pipe would be 🥵 go with that aftercooler
Yep black air cleaner was a great choice.
I love the old two round head lights also you should change the badges on the hood from the Red oval to the old, old square badges from the 1940s
I'm partial to the ovals, that was factory. Thanks for watching too. :)
That 359 is lookin really sweet,Dane!!
Dam that old truck brings back some good memories rolling home from Florida 😊
I'm told the original owner hauled produce Fla to texas with it.
Sweet 379!!
Love this ole girl, she’s amazing, the stories she could tell about all her years on the road!
Looking forward to seeing her again in future episodes Buddy 👍
I just recently ran across your channel and I love it!
Keep up the great job Brother 🤙😎😎
Wishing you and your family a Blessed and Wonderful Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 🙏
Thank you Barry for watching and Merry Christmas Bud 😬👍
Gorgeous truck.
That is one sharp looking 359 you have and the paint looks like it is polishing nicely. As for stacks, yep, straight pipes with muffler guards would look good an be practical. As for the pipe ends, I'm more a fan of how curved ends look.
I like both...hard decision but back in the day Miters were what was associated mainly with Petes. Just a personal observation. We shall see. Merry Christmas! :)
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE And a very merry Christmas wish to you and your family.
I love the new Peterbilt 3:59
In the 80's strike they sent me to Ohio to pick up a new trailer, when I got back to N.Y. the trailer had 3 bullet holes in the bottom rail.100% agree with you on the muffler guards. You have that 359 looking awesome and the videos keep getting better and better.I have hauled over sized loads not my favorite.
Oh man Russ glad you didn’t get hurt. I bet you could tell a few more stories 😮👍
awesome job Dane I thought the black with the gold stripe would look fantastic on the air cleaner
Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and I enjoy each of your videos 🎉
Thanks Philip and Merry Christmas! :)
Another great video Dane! Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas
Thanks Steve and the same to you and family Bud …merry Christmas 🎄
Love the colors and that is a great truck you got there
Thank you 😊
❤ those Pete 359's. I have the California Hauler 359 kit on display in my room. Love those road trips too! 👍👍 Keep 'em comin'
You have great taste Doyle lol. Thanks for watching 😬👍
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE thanks..these videos bring back that ever more distant youth I once had😁😁 I love those old GMC's, Petes, KW's, Freightliners, Whites, IH's...I am a child of the 70's!
I'm partial to the black air cleaner. And your idea for the stacks sounds awesome! That 359 looks killer, sounds killer, IS killer! As is that restored 379 near the end of the video! 🙂
Thank you Michael, I have to agree...lol. Merry Christmas :)
Another great installment to the Trucker's Lounge journey. Merry Christmas.
Thank you Terry Merry Christmas to you too. 😊
Initially I wasn't sure about the black air breather but now seeing it, absolutely the right choice. Merry Christmas Dane and thanks for all your wonderful content.

You bet … same to you 😬👍
Steve Feschiak (FSC Trucking on UA-cam) is in the process of restoring a 1980 Ford CL9000 COE and Chappel trailer that he had purchased from a T/A truckstop out of Spokane,Washington about a year ago.

I’d agree but I adhere to the old adage: don’t make your hobby your job 😬lol.
I’m just a wannabe trucker. My hat it tipped to all you real Drivers past and present 😊👍
Merry Christmas Dane!!
And to you too… thank you
Gr8 Vid!!!!!
I don't think cracker jack likes being that close. 😂lol merry Christmas to you and your family.
I know 😂 Thank you and Merry Christmas to you too!
Super clean truck for real! Looks great after the polishing! It was awesome to see the inside really well too! If you want to get even farther on that grill get some mothers chrome polish and apply with a nylon brush. Gets all the nooks and crannies real nice!
Thanks Nicholas I’ll try that! Merry Christmas Brother 🎄😬
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE Merry Christmas to you too!
Love this little window Peterbilt, just built that AMT kit and the funny thing is i did that paint scheme like your truck, im a 47 year trucker veteran and also do custom model truck kits as well, i would love to build a miniature free of charge for you of this truck.
I subscribed to your channel, haven’t watched any videos yet but just looking at the videos you’ve made I can certainly appreciate your talent Buddy 👍
You and your family have a Blessed and wonderful Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 🙏
@@barrygibson1514 Thank you, I had a great channel until my other phone broke all big rig models I built this current channel hasn't done so well so I don't post like I did.
Oh man, God bless you...I'd love that. Then I can paint this one like the box cover which I love. Hey....Merry Christmas! :) Oh and whats your channel name so I can sub?
That ford L 8000 looks pretty decent .
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family 👪 from Stan and my mom June Baker from Brantford Ontario Canada 🍁, I love this channel 😊😊😊😊.
Stanley thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you as well and thank you for watching 😊🎄👍
If the Jake kicks off when you step on the throttle it’s probably the kick off switch on the clutch peddle
Right, we replaced it… thank you 😬👍
Trucks lookin good , reminds me of mine but I had black with black tanks. 6inch straights , 425 kitty with the 13spd. Have to dig out some pics. Lounge/Shop is looking good to.
Thank you sir, definitely would LOVE to see it. Merry Christmas :)
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE And to you Sir.
Merry Christmas to you and your family I enjoyed this video
Thank you Paul, and Merry Christmas to you as well. 😊🎄👍
happy holidays my friend! pete looks great
Thank you Troy..Merry Christmas :)
Absolutely excellent very kool narrow windshield pete yall have a very merry Christmas and happy new year be safe and sound with the hammer down whoop whoop 😂
Thanks Mark, you do the same 😊👍
Hay buddy good luck an merry Christmas. To you an family
Thank you Tommy and Merry Christmas to you! :)
Seeing as you know the original specs for the exhaust why not give them a try. Your Crackerbox really stands out because you have bucked the trend and gone for slim pipes rather than fit the current trend for something which is big enough to accommodate Santa.
Yes I totally agree...my ideal look would be with the mufflers/shields and 5 or 6" tops
Dane great job Merry Christmas love the video
Thank you Dom, Merry Christmas to the Dodge man ...lol :)
👍👍👍
Enjoyed the video, Merry Christmas
Thanks and Merry Christmas 🎄
Great video love the new truck any updates on grasshopper also just wondering if you still have mint chip haven't seen it in a while.
Mint Chip went to Kansas. Grasshopper has to wait till spring now with the weather and not any room inside 😩
You could do like twin sticks did and get a hallow muffler that way you get the look of a muffler and the sound of straights.
If I can get one for sure😬👍
Cool video Dane I love your 359 nice color that burgundy I wonder what it would look like with the front fenders painted black.
Thanks Derrick, I kinda wonder too. Ya never know lol. Merry Christmas! :)
Hey Dane a number 2 pencil makes a good stinger 😅
That Pete is a beast. The truck runs amazing. What a rad ride Dane. Thanks for the videos. Happy Holidays
You bet buddy, thanks and Merry Christmas 🎄
i AM XTRA DRiver YOU BRo
and HAppy new YEAr 2024
Thank you and to you as well Shelby :)
Merry Christmas Danie
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you! :)
now that i have 5 359s i can finally truthfully say i need another one 🥲
Lol, you can never have too many!!😂
You should go buy one of those road king diecast 359, they have one with that color and paint schemes . 1/16th or 1/18th scale, they ain't cheap
Sweet… I’ll have to check that out … thanks 😬
Hey driver! Merry Christmas to ya! Two beautiful Pete's at the same time, what a shot that was! Beautiful truck inside and out. How's the model coming along? 10-4 driver im gone
I know right?...old school and new lol. Model is slow with everything else going on but will progress soon. Thanks and Merry Christmas! :)
You've got her looking so awesome already, and the red sleeper interior and black cab interior look alright together. The exterior is red and black, so why not the interior too?
Thank you Dwight, I agree. 😬👍
What about that blue dodge dump truck mext to the building? Also the new truck looks great.
Not sure…. Give him a call 👍
was it originally a Small Cam? Big Cam 2 came out around 79 as you probably knew
Build sheet says 350 so I'm assuming yes.
If you can walk away from your rig without taking another look at her before you leave then you don’t have the right rig!
It doesn’t matter with me, I always end up taking a few seconds just to admire my rig before walking away 🤷
I know right? I always think someone is gonna see me and do an eye roll lol.
@@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE hahaha I do as well, your not alone brotha! I know the rig on my channel is no where as cool as the ones on yours but hey, I’ll get there! I enjoy watching man and thank you for sharing!
P.S and if someone does see us, all I can say is where is your awesome rig? Lol it’s an addiction!!
Does your jake not have the throttle switch? You shouldn’t have to keep turning it on and off. It should be off when you’re on the throttle. And shifting that ole Cummins, leave the clutch parked and shift at a lower rpm. Merry Christmas
Yes have to replace the switch on the pedal. Thanks
Did you know Cummins held the patton on the Jake brake for years so no other engine could use it Cat had the Pac brake it didn't work as well
I did not…. Wow thanks for sharing that. 😮👍
I think you meant to say "patent".
Damn that automatic word suggestion & spell check feature.
What years did the 359s have the corvette dash?
I believe late 70s but not sure of exact year.
