One of the things of RC, you will get great periods of racing and absolutely terrible times. Things can get very stale. The key is people around you, and remembering its for fun.

If you think of it, going to the pub and getting hammered is also a waste of time and money.
And you don't even get a trophy! If you do well, you get a splitting headache!
But we do it anyways, cause it's fun! 😂 And so is RC racing!

snapped front knuckle on my tt02 in the first practice laps on the friday club night.... I would of had a spare but I broke the same part the week before. 5 minutes racing before I was packing up and heading back home....

A bad day at tje RC Track is still better than a bad day at work. I never get worked up and laugh at myself when I do poorly. Gives me incentive to do better next time.

Know the feeling. I went into Tinkerbell mode for about 30 mins at Stevenage the other night and lasted about 4 laps before the car broke.

I’m all about taking the most points lol I never get awards either . 6th in the A at mk fwd national and 8th in the A at iconic m chassis lol. I have my own goals for the year for each series.

That was a shocking night Carl! The car let you down there. The new 3 racing cero is supposed to be decent. My car let me down in the final too had no drive and didn’t even start the race!

I think I did 11 laps total at the last South Cambs buggy blast with my lunchbox, broke a front hub and that was it nobody had spares! Spent all day yesterday in the sun at West London Touring Car Nationals to come away with 2nd in the 17.5 Spec C final after being a tinkerbell all day struggling with rear grip. It was disappointing to only be in the C final when I had pace for the B but I still had a great weekend in the pits chatting with my friends and meeting new people! For me that's what it's all about; making friends and having fun whilst driving toy cars. The competition is just an excuse to get out the house and go to new places.

I raced at indoor race way Thursday night, i had my turnbuckle pop off in first and second race .then, in the main in my last of laps racing the front rush wheel centre broke off i did two more laps laughing my head off then rear did the same it limped a quarter of lap before i said take it off .😂
one of the kind guy's gave three rush wheels which was so kind. It was a bad night for racing but had a laugh😊

I managed 1 practice lap before the rubbish Yeah racing components let me down AND broke the front plate crew mounts AGAIN. Another TT01 tub replacement. That car has been retired after 2 race meets and maybe 30 laps total
wow that is impressive ... my tt01 has lasted a couple of years but needs some tlc now
@@PopalongRC taking the Yeah racing upper and lower arms off and re-installing the stock components. It also keeps snapping screws or turnbuckles on the yeah racing components quite easily. I‘ll salvage the shocks, bearings, prop shaft and anything else thats not fragile. See how it goes, but its another tub replacement - good job I bought 2 😂

The nuthing are the backbone of rc racing the beginner is the leg's the tincabells just fit near the top near the eyeshier drivers

Mark you were 2 secs behind in that race flush your bearings re-oil and pick yourself up that's what McLaren have to do 2 secs!

It's never a waste of time.and money if you enjoy your hobby. Now if you're a professional racer you always have to win for your sponsors and have that added pressure but simple club racers do it for fun, which is the best reason to do it.
Toys? Nope. Waste of money? Can be if it's all about buying and selling, you'll never recoupe your money.
At the end of the day, have fun and don't worry, the ends do justify the means......just don't tell your wife/girl friend/ whoever has access to your bank account.
what happens at RC club stays at RC club ... first rule of RC club is dont talk ab of the price of cars.
Just another example of what’s wrong with club racing in this hobby. It takes all day, it cost the fair penny, everyone runs spec or stock now so it’s a technological arms race and oh yeah it takes all damn day.
When I quit about a dozen years ago, it was only after a race that they were no longer going to hold, but everyone universally loved. 24hrs with TTO1s. Stupid simple fun hangin with ur crew getting ur fill way more than a whole season of carpet or asphalt.
But now now it’s just another place where you have to go spend all day to run a total of 20 to 30 minutes.
Tell me another family friendly weekend hobby that takes all day? I’ll give you a full round of golf. I’ll give you that but beyond that everything else is a couple hours half a day tops. Movie, playing ball, church, seeing a pro game, fishing, church etc. But no RC has to take all day for so little.
