My wife used to donate regularly. Then 30 years ago after a donation they called her and told her they couldn't use her blood because she had hepatitis. After checking with her doctor she did not have hepatitis. Neither she nor I have ever had and still do not have hepatitis. Needless to say after them throwing away a perfectly good donation and scaring us by saying she had something she didn't they lost a faithful donor.
Donating blood is seriously not that bad…there’s a little pinch feeling when they put the needle and it’s over before you know it! Definitely eat those snacks though, even if you’re not hungry.
