Hot water supply to the shower blocked with granules

In this video we found a blocked hot water supply to the shower. This granules are coming from the hot water cylinder due to the dip tube disintegration . We cleaned all this granules from inside the thermostatic mixer and now is working perfectly .

0:39 Those granules are from the Megaflow pressurised cylinder eating itself. Specifically the internal lining is breaking down, so the whole Megaflow system needs replacing & everything flushed. It seems to be a common problem with older pressurised cylinder systems. 😢

But what is causing it in the first place ????

The Megaflow cylinder internal lining is breaking down, replacement is the only option. 😢
