Your tip got my blood pressure back to normal...I spent too long trying to get the spring back in..your tip helped I was done in a minute after watching...
Thank you for this video, I was trying to do it a different way that another video showed but couldn't quite get it right. This one was much easier to follow and to understand how the sear spring needed to sit, and really helped me out with my Sig flat trigger install.
Watched several videos regarding installing "the spring", as well as installing one myself. I must say your demonstration is the easiest, by far! Thanks for sharing.
EXCELLENT tutorial brother! Just completed it without any issues, and that was AFTER I had to order a replacement spring cause I bent the 1st one trying to do it my own way...
Alma, thank you SO much! We were messing around for a couple of hours trying to do it the way Bruce shows in his video. I put that spring in this way and it went in right away. Thank you!
Thanks for the video I was able to install per your instructions even without using needle nose just my fingers. Like you said the trick was keeping the trigger bar slightly out and behind the safety housing.
They should sell a special tool to make it easier to put that spring on. Lol. Thanks for the tip. Recently got the new style grip and flat trigger from Sig.
Leonardokite 5 minutes ago The first time I changed that my trigger I did not even remove that spring. I just lifted the trigger bar up and moved it back and swap out the trigger and then jockeyed the trigger bar back into place. Piece a cake! This is basically what you did. Now the second time with the upgraded P320 and the new apex trigger I couldn’t do that somehow or another. Bottom line is that spring went flying off into oblivion LOL. After a good bout of “spring” cleaning I gave up. My new springs yes, springs I bought two, should be here in a couple of hours. Hopefully this time I’ll have better luck. I will also be doing it in the bathroom which does not have a bunch of places to lose a spring. (The drains will be covered) ANYHOW! This time I redid it like before (basically exactly like you did and less than a minute later....bingo! This is definitely the easiest method by far.
Your method worked great -- the only thing I would add is to wrap the trigger and the pin that protrudes on the other side with masking tape after you move the trigger bar forward. Then you don't have to worry about securing the trigger and trigger bar with your fingers while trying to hook the spring.
I pretty much did the same thing (bent) to my first spring and had to order another. Now tat I have a newer 'Adverse' trigger installed, I don't think I'll be taking the FCU apart at all, but great info on this just in case, thanks!
I wasn't able to get the trigger back that far - I'm not sure if it's because it it is Grayguns trigger, but the trick worked anyway using the pliers to hold the coils and going in the bottom hook last. I was stuck, and this unstuck me. Thanks!
Excellent! That appears to make the process easier. However, I just don't like the design because, as you noted, it is very easy to deform the trigger bar spring. Fortunately, I have a couple of them, but they are a nuisance.
Lol I tried this over a year ago took me 2.5 hours to get the spring in then I said fuck it traded the p320 I has for an m&p2.0 this was after the upgrade controversy still got my m&p but I got another p320 this time upgraded and full size and 45 instead of 9mm great vid
Hey great videos I wouldn't have been able to do this without it I finally got my fcu together put it in my frame but my trigger will not return I didn't use any grease during assembly is that the problem does it have to be all greased up to function correctly?
Alma Cole I didn't really mess with the spring it was pretty easy to get into place the way you did it I did it right along with you while watching but I guess I'll just take it apart again and see what's going on in there and add some grease anyway if I recall the spring should be 90° angle? Plus the more times I take it apart the better and faster I'll get at doing it!!!! I'm a glock guy this is my first sig lol!!!! Thanks again!!
Ya I just dont get it just went to the hardware store and got some grease still no help the fcu in my hand the trigger works just fine as soon as I put it in the frame there's no trigger return I pull the trigger even just a tiny bit and it just stays there 🤯????
Thanks for the tip on removing/reinstalling that pesky trigger spring! I have a pair of P320s, and a problem that I have with one of the frames is difficulty removing the trigger stop bar from the FCU frame. The earliest version had a pin the easily slid out of the frame, even when not intended. The later version has the pin "peened" on one side so it will not come out with just the push of a punch. I considered just hammering it out, but I don't want to deform the frame or the pin... Any suggestions?
That is a feature that came about after many complained about how easy that pin was to remove once the FCU was out of the grip module. You can drive it out with a pinch but it's pretty tricky to get back in after that. I have one that I took out but as getting it back in wasn't straight forward I set it aside for the time being. My assumption is that I will need to put that pin between the hammer and anvil to get it to where I can reinstall before then restaking the thing. Might be easier to get a new one.
+Alma Cole Perhaps it doesn't need to be removed. I suppose that the safety /sear housing assembly can be removed without the need to pull the trigger stop pin. I am just compulsive about removing frame!
Getting it off is so easy it requires no effort at all. If you even touch the spring it is likely to come all apart and cause you hours worth of trouble. I learned this simply trying to put the fcg in another grip module and now a 5min project is taking multiple hours. I still haven't gotten it back assembled yet.
anyone else have a dull trigger pull. not a click but a thud.. with no reset? could this be the problem? I've never taken this spring out for any reason tho..
I do like Sig's lower half. Looks like it would be easy to clean. Just trow in a bucket of mineral sprites and blow dry ,then oil. I'm going to wate for them to fix all the bugs. Then I will perches one.
How in tbe world did it take you 5 minutes when it took me almost two hours a few choice words and almost sending the firearm threw the living room window
The better way can be seen in this video from RougeBanshee: ua-cam.com/video/FXAZ7hSUGXY/v-deo.html. Hold the trigger bar upside down and hook the straight leg of the spring into the trigger bar before installing into the frame, then hook the other u-shaped end of the spring into the hole on the frame, rotate the trigger bar clockwise around and hook the trigger bar under the slide catch. Then hook the tab of the trigger onto the corresponding hole on the trigger bar while installing the trigger onto the frame. The trigger will be forward because the back of the trigger bar is outside the sear housing. The carefully lift the back of the trigger bar to the right to clear the back of the sear housing while rotating the trigger to the rear, and then let the back of the trigger bar tuck inside the sear housing and everything is in place. No tools needed and no bending of the trigger bar return spring occurs.
this is why videos need dislike buttons. one of the worst ways to do this. NEVER use pliers. there are tons of 30 second ways of doing this that wont run you a 50/50 chance of ruining springs
Old video, but I'm pretty new to pistols and got a little over zealous. I can't seem to get the bar behind the sear. Probably be taking it to a gunsmith. Been really fun learning, but man that spring is giving me grief. Just can't get the bar back far enough.

dude you are my hero... I have been fighting this spring for an hour...

This old video is still helping people. Namely me!😁 This is the way, no doubt! Thank you.🤘👍

I tried the recommended method from Apex. Couldn't do it. Tried this way - done. Thanks much for the help!
Thanks! You saved me much frustration and anguish.
Thanks for the video I was able to install per your instructions even without using needle nose just my fingers. Like you said the trick was keeping the trigger bar slightly out and behind the safety housing.
I just did this as I was watching you and it was actually very simple to do. Thanks for posting this!!
EvilTwin500 lol... too funny!
Just installed Apex trigger and this info helped a lot! Thanks!
They should sell a special tool to make it easier to put that spring on. Lol. Thanks for the tip. Recently got the new style grip and flat trigger from Sig.
Thanks for the help...just getting ready to install my GreyGuns Trigger kit. I'm sure you saved me some "Pain". 👍

Thanks so much! You saved me a headache n a broken spring lol
Wow thanks! I popped my spring in 1st try in about 10 seconds, much appreciated.
Amazing video. Saved me a ton of frustration! Thank you.

Awesome video, if it wasn't for your tips I would've spend more time than I needed to on this.

Very helpful video. Thanks for taking the time to share.
And where were you an hour ago when I was figuring this out the hard way?
Thanks. Your my angel.
Awesome tip, I about lost my religion trying to reinstall today!!

matthew devine it shouldn't need to that. Check your triggerbar spring. Might have bent it too far. Try bending back into position.
Alma Cole I didn't really mess with the spring it was pretty easy to get into place the way you did it I did it right along with you while watching but I guess I'll just take it apart again and see what's going on in there and add some grease anyway if I recall the spring should be 90° angle? matthew devine putting stock parts in or something else?
Alma Cole yes stock parts

+Alma Cole ... Removing EVERYTHING from the FCU frame!
Awesome, subscribed, thanks for the info.

I put grayguns reduced competition trigger return spring and appears that the trigger is lighter but now more noticeable creep
Can I use Lucus gun oil or do I need grease?
anyone else have a dull trigger pull. not a click but a thud.. with no reset? could this be the problem? I've never taken this spring out for any reason tho..
Good info, thanks!

Good video.thanks a lot..
Didn't work for me. Using your method first putting the trigger into place the trigger bar cannot be put behind the black housing.
shit was mad easy lol thnks
very good !!!
Why dont you hook the spring on first and rotate the bar around? It's so stupid easy that way
How in tbe world did it take you 5 minutes when it took me almost two hours a few choice words and almost sending the firearm threw the living room window
What multi tool is that?
Cichlidae Mayhem Multitasker

I would put the Sig back in the box and get a refund.

still looks like he bent it
