    IMO Stephanie doesn’t want any of her Dads holdovers. I feel like she doesn’t want anyone who knows more than she does about PRO WRESTLING!
    The fact that all Bruce got was a five second firing from Steph over the phone. I am pissed that he didn’t get more respect in the firing.

Out of everyone associated with wrestling from that time I would have to say that Bruce Pritchard is the most stand up , decent , nicest guy from that era .
    He doesn’t get involved in any of the petty squabbles . He is honest about himself and doesn’t BS about anyone . So when he talks I listen and appreciate that it’s gonna be as accurate to the truth as it possibly can .

    Bruce would have made a fantastic heel manager in WCW especially as after Halloween Havoc 1992 Paul Heyman was on his way out of there. Bruce played the same character a heel manager/commentator in Global Wrestling Federation in Dallas in 1991/1992 and WCW I feel did miss out not bringing in Bruce at that time. He would have brought so much behind the scenes also and probably would have been Eric Bischoff's right hand man once Eric got power considering how friendly they are. But even if WCW did make a real play for Bruce he probably would have went with his heart and went back to Vince and the WWF.

      I get that from a perspective as I'm 28 and the PG era just isn't my taste. But I see why they do it this way when considering the financial results. I think back to people like Bischoff pointing out that back in the day wrestling had huge ratings but because of the product content they couldn't monetize it. So I get it from a public company sense to do it the way they do, and it's hard to argue with their logic when considering they just reported their most profitable year ever.

      @Matt-cr4vv 2 роки тому +1

      Hard to say. She started working for WWF full time right after graduating college. And people like Bruce have said that she is a lot like Vince.
      I don't think not working there would disappoint Vince. When Shane left the company for awhile he said that Vince was really proud of him venturing out for that endeavor so who knows.
      In the end I can't imagine she regrets the decision. I'm not trying to say she isn't talented, but I feel it is fairly safe to say she wouldn't be in an executive role with a high six figure income and multi million net worth at the fairly young age of 45 now if she had simply gone to the free market.
      I know Bruce always points out how hard Vince is on his kids, and as the child of a type A father I can certainly see how that is. That said I think she obviously has talent but she definitely flew up the corporate ladder much faster than a person would who wasn't family.

    It sounds like Stephanie made things difficult for Bruce. If everything he is saying is true, It sounds like Bruce was in a no win situation by not being able to approve things, but @ the same time he would be in trouble if things wern't approved by a certain time. Bruce was around for 20+-years so Stephanie should have gave him more freedom to approve things when Stephanie wasn't Around or reachable. It sounds like they both could have put more of an effort in their working relationship. It's too bad that it got as bad as it did & it had to end like it did.

      Stephanie was young at the time, and insecure. I'm sure present day, that she is secure in her job. If Bruce was working today for WWE (which he is, ironically), probably Stephanie would make Bruce her second in command. That is the mark of a good leader, to realize that good people, who may not always agree with you, need to be officially rewarded....

    @33:15, I've been in that position many of times and I learned (fortunately, easily and quickly) to let the other person just take that hit. Stepping away when others are going to you about decisions that need to be made, is extremely frustrating, especially when everyone sees you as the decision maker. But, you know what? The people in charge put those others in charge for a reason and...call it throwing the other person under the bus all you want, but when things start to go bad, it will be you that will take the hit and you'll be removed by the person you're trying to protect.

    Its also wrong to put all the heat on Stephanie McMahon. If Vince McMahon wanted Prichard around, he would have kept him around by putting him in another role. But he didn't.

    One thing I've noticed about Prichard, is even though he's been doing this for 30 or 40 years nobody ever says Bruce came up with this great storyline or he really helped out my career or anything. You look at his peers like Cornette, Heyman, Russo, etc. and all have their supporters, but I've never heard of a Prichard supporter. Even Cornette never sings his praises for anything he's done and he's friends with him. He's just known as a brown noser who has a good memory and does a lot of good voices.

      I mean, they're all snakes. Bruce politicked just as much as Russo, Cornette and others. (Not on Bischoff's level though. Eric was the ultimate backstabber.) Just look at how Bruce landed the EVP role at TNA. He was sitting at home after WWE fired him, Russo gave him a call to come in as a part-time producer.
      I'm sure Russo thought he could take advantage of Bruce's knowledge whilst making Bruce think he "owed one" to Russo. Instead, Bruce immediately worked his magic on Dixie and got hired to a newly created role where Russo reported to him. They've all backstabbed each other at one point or another.
