I’ve been binging your channel and loving it!! It’s great to see someone else working through their debt too. Very encouraging and motivating :) I’m doing low spend for 2021!
You are beautiful inside and out. ✨I wish there were more people like you in this world. After saving up for a long time Low/No spend became my default mode. I relate a lot to what you mentioned about clothes.
My wife recently did this with clothing. Personally, I think it's a neat challenge, but I'd rather set a budget and stick to it. I find that savings towards a goal or rewarding yourself with something small in price, but high in value keeps me feeling positive during the pandemic.
I love watching you it's help me a lot not to spend any of my money I have been doing that since last year I been watching couple of video thank you keep up the good work
Great video, and I love any non-spending challenge!!! Some people just get intimidated by it, the heck with them LOL, I love the money I save when I do this.
I just started a no spend month and today is day 9! It has been actually decent so far! It’s like detoxing and I have never done this but I am super happy I decided to do it and can’t wait to make it a habit 🥰
I would like to try to do a no spend month. Have considered and started in the past only to fail. This was a helpful video, I’m going to watch you initial video to more motivation to start again with a 3-month no spend. Hopefully I will be able to make it through the 3 months. TFS and giving me the motivation. Take care and be safe.
Yeah definitely try again! It's not so bad, especially if you can plan ahead and prepare for any expenses. Just make your own rules. Even if you can at least reduce your spending that will help too 😊 Let us know how it goes!
How much extra has this afforded you to provide towards your debt? Have you sum totalled your savings and calculated the extra towards your savings? My grocery savings allow me to put an extra $200pm towards my debt, enabling me to be $2000 ahead for my car loan at this point in time. It might help me know whether it is worth trying knowing the sum total of savings that you have been able to dedicate to debt. Thanks!
I would say the biggest difference was in my savings! I was able to pay off quite a bit in 2019, but struggled to build up an emergency fund. In 2020 I was able to save thousands and I would say that was because of this No Spend challenge!
I don’t see no-spends as a bad thing at all, but I also don’t think it’s necessary for me to label it as a “no spend”. I would just...not spend money if I didn’t need anything. But I understand that some people need to make it more of a formal commitment. We didn’t spend much extra money on shopping for more than a year while building up our emergency fund, but now that it’s fully funded we’re able to spend more money freely without worrying about it!
No spend is definitely not necessary but I really want to take on the challenge and I'm so glad I did! I have self-control, but sometimes I would go to the store/mall and buy 1-2 things (shoes, clothes) even though I didn't really need them. Now I have gone to many stores and look at things I would typically buy and just put it back! It's been helpful for me and I think this mindset will continue with me before I buy things. Definitely not for everyone though!
@@PersonalFinancewithLeila no problem. I am also in my financial journey and I just created a blog. I just paid off my remaining debt today. You are helping a lot of people by sharing your story. Looking forward to your future videos.
Anyone can do a no spend month/year/week/life etc. if you want. It’s your own choice not sure 🤔 that woman would say such a thing ?? I think she needs a life. I wonder how much in debt she is in to make such a rude comment 🙄
Well, it was her own Instagram post so she wanted to share her opinion on it. But yeah the way she said it was a bit rude especially considering a lot of people do no spends during their debt free journey. To each their own!!
No spend seem contraproductive when taken to extreems, keeping you car maintained and clean saves money than letting it rust and have engine failure. Blackout curtains investment in sleep and health. But yes buying a lot of things isnt that important

Aw thank you so much!!
And yes, it's so interesting how much my perspective has changed. I'm excited to be more intentional with my money!

I could see that!
I think the occasional free things really helped with that. After this year I will probably go with your route though

Yesss that's awesome!! It's also good because you'll reduce spending even if you slip up a couple times, but the month will go so fast!
Great job 😊

The bottom line is do I really need it or Want it
Exactly!!

I am starting my No Spend Week on Friday so this was incredibly motivating!
Yay!! Will you be uploading a video on it?
@@PersonalFinancewithLeila Of course! If you don't document it, did you even really do it?! haha Actually doing a video on it makes me accountable
Great video
How is it toxic? That person is crazy. I'm doing a food challenge for a year and whatever I save will be donated.
That's awesome!!
@@PersonalFinancewithLeila I imagine most frugal people would be doing the same, so I hope so.
Who needs lambo's anyway? ;)
...except maybe hip-hop artists, for their music videos :D
Yum
