Hi - I'm Steve Curtis. Myself and my business partner Martin Earl designed this game from scratch and sold it on license to Waddington's for royalties. Thank you for recommending it. We also designed 'Game of Dracula' (Waddingtons also) some years earlier and was the second of known fictional horror characters that everyone knew that we didn't have to pay a license fee, known as character licencing. We sold many of our game designs to most UK producers in late seventies and early eighties, including Spears and Ideal Toys UK. We went on to found Curtis-Earl and Blisters Ltd, the latter still going successfully today.

That’s amazing! You still release games? I’ve been MIA from UA-cam as I finish up some big projects and begin my podcast for the channel. I’d love to interview you and/or your business partner if you’d be interested. If so send me an email at TabletopIsland@gmail.com. I’d love to chat further! Thanks again for sharing!

dude. i had this as a kid, and it really did do all the things your not sure about, it sqeaked every step it took, as you move franky, you press down a little and he squeaked, you squeeze him and you can pick up the people. the rubber has petrified over the years. he was rubber and soft. If you had it as a kid in the early 80's you would know this. love the vids

Owned this as a child back in the 80s and recently managed to purchase this game again at the low price of only £20 including shipping. Shop around and ask around on game sites and im sure will find one too.
    Gonna go play now

Man this one brings back memories. This and Ghost Castle were among my first board games, both belonged to my cousin. And yeah, it is supposed to squeak, it's like one of those dog toys, could probably swap out the squeaker

I can imagine this being awesome as a kid! I could swap squeaker but I’m not sure I wanna take away from his serious facial expression 😂😂

Nice review. :) Love the Frankenstein themed games myself - been after this one for a while but not managed to find one at a price I'm happy with. Have you seen that there's another vintage game called Escape From Frankenstein that appears to be very very similar but you have to build Frank first before he moves?

Yeah it’s on my list just have games above it that I’m after haha. Hope you find one at a decent price soon! :)

That's the one I had as a kid. Frankenstein's monster was all green. And escaping him was hard. I miss the suspense as his body parts started assembling...you knew you were in trouble soon 😆

Ah man, I'm super glad that I found your review of Escape from Frankenstein. I had this board game as a 10 year old kid in the early '80s and me and my friend would play it for hours on end. Great fun. And great review too. You've got an instant sub from me. Cheers from here in 'sunny' UK :)

There is another board game called Escape From Frankenstein that was published by Pressman in 1991, Pressman also released the Horror themed board game Revenge of Dracula around the same time both are fun and worth a look if you are into colleting Horror themed board games.
