Fitness Fables is a story-driven VR fitness game that finally brings actual “game” elements to fitness… but does it work? No more punching balls, slashing balls-it’s a full adventure! But after playing for 30 minutes, I was left unimpressed.
In this video, I break down:
✅ What Fitness Fables is all about
✅ Who this game is really meant for
✅ Whether it’s actually a good workout
✅ Why I just couldn’t stay motivated to keep playing
If you’re looking for the next Ring Fit Adventure or a true VR fitness challenge, you might want to watch this review first.
Have you played Fitness Fables? What’s your favorite VR fitness game? Let me know in the comments-I read (and usually respond to) every single one!

Thanks for this non-sponsored review.
I've not seen one poor or even just average rated sponsored review. Funny that!
I saw so many comparisons to ringfit that i was like “there’s no way.” Sure enough…no way. Not just being oppositional either, i legit thought the game was boring AND not a good workout.
Cheers for honest review. I'll admit I'd added this to wishlist based on some of the other hyped YT reviews I'd seen. But watching the gameplay I always found myself thinking "yeah, I don't know about all that though...". Always on the hunt for something that brings something new to the VR exercise space, but only if it's legit. Nice one! :)
@@seagreenz7112 thanks! I think more games need honest reviews!
Thanks for the review. Sad that this one wasn't any good.
@@torq21 me too!! I had such high hopes!
There is one reason we haven't seen a Ring Fit sort of thing for the Quest yet - because making that type of game takes definite talent that knows what it is doing. Nintendo has the talent. It knows what it is doing. And they don't want to develop for the quest. But it seems none of the developers for the quest have that same level.
Same reason we haven't seen that type of thing for the Xbox or Playstation - it's not because they can't handle it, it's because they lack the ability that Nintendo has. It's a matter of developers not having the talent at hand and not the platform in other words.
Which is sad... Because, yeah, it'd be really great if someone COULD do that on the Quest.
@@TimothyCollins i feel like someone could make an adapter for it!
@@FitProVR True but do we want that? I mean, Switch Fit is made for the Switch. I would rather a Quest specific thing that does that... but it does have to be done right. And truth be told I have no idea what Switch Fit does right - but it does. And it's not just the exercises or the story... somewhere along the way Nintendo just got everything right. Kinda like they did with Wii Sports - and they tried really hard and could not replicate it with Switch sports. They got it right for Wii Fit and could not do it again in Wii U Fit.
Sometimes things just fall in place I guess.
Have u played it in hard mode ? I only play it in hard mode and always try to be first or second on leaderboard if doing that then its a better workout
I would say test it on hard mode and only do the daily boss challenges
lol and fyi I’m not a chubby 10 year old 😂 I’m an actively fit person who gyms daily 😅 but to me whooping the bosses r fun
@@Steevonator in the video i showed that i did it in hard/intense but man…this is so boring. I’m sure i could get a workout if i tried but it beyond dull and unmotivating for me.
@ yes I can see your point of it being boring but I guess it’s what we make of it so I try to maximize the green meter at all times and to try to rank first place and mainly a against bosses is where I can feel it more
I actually bought it, played it, and refunded it. I just can't see me wanting to do this for a workout. I sweated a bit but I felt very empty. I watched all the videos about it and am disappointed I was convinced to get it. I will get refunded so it's all good. I was wondering when you were gonna a do a video since all the others talked like it's the bestest ever.
@@tamimoyer429 right??? Phew! Thanks for justifying me haha
YOUR WRONG l’m 55 and my mom lets me play what I want 😂 I actually like it, I played on medium for an hour and sweated my nuts off 😅. Makes a change from the usual and it cost the price of a coffee and a bun 🤷🏻♂️😊
@@Wazzer303 lol I’m glad you like it! Let me know if you’re still playing in a month 😉
