किसी और कार्यालय में प्राथमिक सूचना देने से पुलिस अधिकारियों पर गाज गिरनी बंद तो नहीं होगी । ऐसे में पुलिस अधिकारी मामले को जल्द से जल्द निपटने के लिए किसी निर्दोष व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार कर सकते हैं या कुछ मामलों में झूठी गिरफ्तारी कर के खानापूर्ति द्वारा एफआईआर का बोझ हल्का कर सकते हैं जिससे समाज में और ज्यादा तनाव बढ़ेगा । मेरा सुझाव एफआईआर की संख्या के आधार पर पुलिस अधिकारी के कार्यों का मूल्यांकन करने की बजाय सर्वाधिक एफआईआर दर्ज कर सर्वाधिक मामलों का निस्तारण करने वाले थानों को सम्मानित किया जाय। कम एफआईआर दर्ज करने वाले थाने की विशेष जांच दल द्वारा औचक निरीक्षण द्वारा जमीनी सच्चाई प्राप्त कर कार्रवाई करनी चाहिए । आनलाईन एफआईआर तथा 1090 जैसी योजनानुसार दर्ज एफआईआर की उन क्षेत्रों की विशेष जांच की जाय। मीडिया के खिलाफ कुछ कड़े कानून बनाने की जरूरत है। किसी मुद्दे के अर्धसत्य के आधार पर न्यायाधीश बनने वालों पत्तलकारों को पत्रकारिता तथा राजनीति से हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए बर्खास्त कर देना चाहिए । एक कानून यह भी हो कि पत्रकारिता से जुड़े लोगो की राजनीतिक दल की सदस्यता स्वतः समाप्त हो । यदि वह किसी राजनीतिक दल से जुड़ता है तो उसकी पत्रकारिता पर 30 वर्ष के लिए प्रतिबंध लगना चाहिए ।

1) Once from my bank account money was deducted..and through transaction Id got to know that the money was used in USA and I am living in India and then went to police station for registering fir in morning..policy ask me to seat and till evening I was waiting then he told me that for fir registeration I have to submit my mobile..I wasn't agree because my mob was expensive and my money was gone... 2) I was in Goa working with one company..and someone stolen my laptop..I was having insurance and then I went to police station regularly for 30days and finally fir was not registered..and I wasn't able to claim insurance and loss of 70000 rs.. I don't think police are helpful in such cases better to take precautions and take care of your assets both virtual assets and digital assets.
You deserve it. If you don't have adequate general knowledge about how to enforce your rights, then you should be willing to pay Rs. 500 to a lawyer. When you can't do either of these things you deserve it.
@mayur gautam: case 1) happened with me too. My ICICI Bank a/c was wiped out in 3 anonymous transactions. IP address showed US location. Police did absolutely nothing. Wrote a letter to the SP too, but no action was taken. @venki sanju: I tweeted + emailed to ICICI bank, PM, CM, MHA, CBI, RBI, FM... nobody responded.

Five ways to solve this problem: 1) To solve a problem we must first recognize that it exists. If there are too many crimes in a PS then it is worse to shove them under the carpet than acknowledge the situation. So the first step is to dissociate the number of FIRs from the Key Performance Indicator of the PS. That way the SHO will not feel pressurised to under-report cases. 2) Secondly, FIR registration should not be decided by the Police Station in-charge. It should be something like an online complaint. If not online people can drop in an FIR in a complaint box. The only thing to verify in that case would be the identity of the complainant. If that is genuine then it should be allowed. To prevent false cases there should be severe penalties for registering frivolous and false cases and a warning to that effect to general public should be made sufficiently clear before someone registers a complaint. 3) Thirdly Police should be trained regularly (possibly few hours every week) to newer and faster methods of investigation, criminal psychology, treating public with empathy etc. One reason why Policemen are also reluctant to take on a case is perhaps that they feel that they will not be able to solve it and be disgraced for it. Regular training and skilling will remove such lack of confidence. 4) Fourthly, increase the number of policemen per lakh of population. The current ratios are dismal compared to standards of developed nations. If possible provide better housing facilities for policemen and insurance and/or job to next of kin in case of death in the line of duty. Also try to outsource paperwork, database management and other routine stuff to private agencies so the police can focus on their job. 5) Lastly, appoint dedicated and ethical officers. This may sound utopian but it is possible. Tata group does it so well that their employees put their lives in the line of fire to save guests at the Taj Mahal Hotel terrorist attack on 26th November 2008 in Mumbai. The secret is to put a candidate through well designed tests which reveal their true nature when it comes to ethics and dedication.

After losing mobile I immediately went to police station to file a complaint, as they we're little busy for some emergency case, they asked me to come after two days at specified time with a mobile bill. I went after two days and they immediately filed my complaint without any delay. It was my first experience in police station and they were really good.. 😊😊

Really liked the solution, I would like to share my own experience, I was travelling from Calicut to Bangalore via train when my bag was stolen and I lost my company laptop and other valuables, before reaching my home I got a call from Chennai police that they have found some of my belongings Since they were able to catch the thief they easily logged FIR without any issues.

Performance of Police officer should not be judged by Number of FIR Registered, But his performance should be judged by the number of cases he Solved out of all thr registered cases. Because crime is every where.
The complaint registration should be like electricity/Telephone complaint online. Then basis of complaint it should forwarded to different department like civil case, criminal case, theft etc...
Well said, and we as a system is very weak compared to other countries. By not lodging FIR, my own brother went scott free to do bigger crimes. If they had Lodged FIR, thoroughly investigated, larger crime would have been averted. 🙏

बिलकुल सही बात है पुलिस थाने मे एफ आई आर दर्ज नही होती है अगर की भी जाती है तो सच से कोसो दूर पूर्ण काल्पनिक पुलिस के सूविधा के अनुरूप होती है 70 सालो से भारत मे ये कैसा लोकतंत्र है जहाँ आज भी अंग्रेजी सरकार के नियम चल रहे है,पर अब इसे बदलना जरूर चाहिए। FIR को विभागीय न होकर सामाजिक हितो का संरक्षण प्रक्रिया होनी चाहिए। जय हिन्द जय भारत🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
ऐसा नही है वास्तव मे 90%F.I.R.बढाचढा कर एवं 60%झूठी लिखाने का प्रयास किया जाता है उसे अगर I.O.सही विवेचना करता है तो उस पर आरोप लगाये जाते है अरे ये तो भारत है किसे-2 सुधारोंगे पूरा सिस्टम् ही गलसड गया है अगर पुलिस सुधर गई तो बाकी बेईमानो की मुसीबत हो जायेगी ।
I would like to suggest that an online token system with an email in regards of the crime should be provided so that the higher officers can telly the no. Of token with the FIR on that particular probelm.
प्रिय रंजन जी, समय के अनुसार हर समय-समय पर बदलाव जरूरी, नहीं तो हम पिछड़ जायेंगे पीछे रह जायेगे, आपके विचार काफी प्रभावशाली। मैं आपको उदाहरण देता हूं, आज इनकम टैक्स में रिटर्न भरी जाती है वह किस ऑफिसर के पास जाती है या स्कूटनी में केस आता है तो वह किस अधिकारी के पास जायेंगा , यह सब रिटर्न फाइल करने वाले को और किस अधिकारी के पास फाइल जायेगी कुछ भी पता नहीं होता है। इसी तरह FIR को सेंट्रलाइज कर दिया जाये हर शहर शहर में , एक इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम या एजेंसी बनायी जाये। जो जांच करके संबंधित थाने को भेज दें। यह मेरे विचार है कोई दिशानिर्देश नहीं है। और एक बड़े स्तर पर हर राज्यो में होना चाहिए। आभार

I think we can do one thing: Open a portal for registering complaints. Head of the police station evaluates which complaint to be made a FIR. Later a panel will check the remaining complaints and evaluate whether the complaints are good enough to be taken as complaint. Based on this panel may also rate the officer in charge of the station. No complaint will be deleted by any chance. On the permission of people filing complaint, the complaint will also be visible to all who visit the website. People can choose whether to make their complaint public or not. Some issues like duplicate complaints can be taken care of. The IP address of the complaint will be definitely recorded. No use of VPN to file complaint. Just a thought... What do u say people Feel free to suggest changes in comment section

Sir I was thinking in same way since a long time. Govt should appoint a law officer (Minimum educational LLB) and it should be his responsibility to register FIR (including section of IPC) and send to police station. SHO can appoint only IO for that case.

3) Thirdly Police should be trained regularly (possibly few hours every week) to newer and faster methods of investigation, criminal psychology, treating public with empathy etc. One reason why Policemen are also reluctant to take on a case is perhaps that they feel that they will not be able to solve it and be disgraced for it. Regular training and skilling will remove such lack of confidence.
4) Fourthly, increase the number of policemen per lakh of population. The current ratios are dismal compared to standards of developed nations. If possible provide better housing facilities for policemen and insurance and/or job to next of kin in case of death in the line of duty. Also try to outsource paperwork, database management and other routine stuff to private agencies so the police can focus on their job.
5) Lastly, appoint dedicated and ethical officers. This may sound utopian but it is possible. Tata group does it so well that their employees put their lives in the line of fire to save guests at the Taj Mahal Hotel terrorist attack on 26th November 2008 in Mumbai. The secret is to put a candidate through well designed tests which reveal their true nature when it comes to ethics and dedication.

After losing mobile I immediately went to police station to file a complaint, as they we're little busy for some emergency case, they asked me to come after two days at specified time with a mobile bill. Really liked the solution, I would like to share my own experience, I was travelling from Calicut to Bangalore via train when my bag was stolen and I lost my company laptop and other valuables, before reaching my home I got a call from Chennai police that they have found some of my belongings Since they were able to catch the thief they easily logged FIR without any issues.

बिलकुल सही बात है पुलिस थाने मे एफ आई आर दर्ज नही होती है अगर की भी जाती है तो सच से कोसो दूर पूर्ण काल्पनिक पुलिस के सूविधा के अनुरूप होती है 70 सालो से भारत मे ये कैसा लोकतंत्र है जहाँ आज भी अंग्रेजी सरकार के नियम चल रहे है,पर अब इसे बदलना जरूर चाहिए। FIR को विभागीय न होकर सामाजिक हितो का संरक्षण प्रक्रिया होनी चाहिए।

समय के अनुसार हर समय-समय पर बदलाव जरूरी, नहीं तो हम पिछड़ जायेंगे पीछे रह जायेगे, आपके विचार काफी प्रभावशाली। मैं आपको उदाहरण देता हूं, आज इनकम टैक्स में रिटर्न भरी जाती है वह किस ऑफिसर के पास जाती है या स्कूटनी में केस आता है तो वह किस अधिकारी के पास जायेंगा , यह सब रिटर्न फाइल करने वाले को और किस अधिकारी के पास फाइल जायेगी कुछ भी पता नहीं होता है। इसी तरह FIR को सेंट्रलाइज कर दिया जाये हर शहर शहर में , एक इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम या एजेंसी बनायी जाये। जो जांच करके संबंधित थाने को भेज दें। यह मेरे विचार है कोई दिशानिर्देश नहीं है। और एक बड़े स्तर पर हर राज्यो में होना चाहिए।

I think we can do one thing:
Open a portal for registering complaints. Head of the police station evaluates which complaint to be made a FIR. Later a panel will check the remaining complaints and evaluate whether the complaints are good enough to be taken as complaint. Based on this panel may also rate the officer in charge of the station.
No complaint will be deleted by any chance. On the permission of people filing complaint, the complaint will also be visible to all who visit the website. People can choose whether to make their complaint public or not.
Some issues like duplicate complaints can be taken care of.
The IP address of the complaint will be definitely recorded. No use of VPN to file complaint.

Sir I was thinking in same way since a long time. Govt should appoint a law officer (Minimum educational LLB) and it should be his responsibility to register FIR (including section of IPC) and send to police station. SHO can appoint only IO for that case.
