My Thai wife (Who is ethnic Chinese) comes from an extremely affluent family married me even though I was poor. But after we got married- and with her older brother's support (They sell auto-parts and taught me the trade) I worked hard and built myself up. And now, yes, I'm a millionaire (Nowhere near as wealthy as her family, of course) but I'm proud because I worked so hard to build myself up. So yes, wealthy women do marry poor men sometimes.

Women like this are not the norm. I met my wife at 18, was broke as hell, worked two jobs each to get through college, and still married almost 30 years later. Know plenty of good women like her.

Is this respectable or honorable living a life by principles? Sure. One way to look at it is “she knows what she wants, and that’s the only thing she’ll aim for”. I also was carrying everything I own, so I used the opportunity to get into the best physical shape of my life. It could be quite dangerous. I had a lot of high school aged girls trying to sleep with me. I was very careful and made a point to be extremely picky. At one point I was homeless and a hot blonde wanted me to come back to her penthouse apartment in NYC. I declined. I made what could have been the worst time of my life, the best time of my life.

My wife is from Indonesia, which is a country that is 80% Muslim and Christian. She lived here as a student but luckily she didn't change before we met. I have lived there with her and in the US so I'm aware of both cultures. In her culture it is frowned upon to not be married before age 25ish. They dress and act modestly. It is important to not bring shame to yourself, your family, and neighborhood. They're really isn't any dating without intention to marry. Advanced Education is encouraged if able, to help be beneficial to their husband. Their mothers teach them home and maternal skills and the roles of husband and wife. Their virginity is their most valuable thing and multiple relationships are forbidden. Hygiene, diet, and personal cleanliness are so important there. For an example of how important the husband is, I always like to give this; If a woman goes to lunch with her friends or mom and it's time for the husband to come home, she leaves. The other women including the mom, don't say anything or tell her to stay because they ALL do the same thing. As far as a "career woman", employment of a woman above the age of 40 is pretty unheard of due to the expectation that the woman should be established with a husband and children. It's not a perfect country or way of life for some people, but in comparison of women there and in the US, Indonesian women bring A LOT to the table. Chastity, morals, femininity, a limited past of sexual partners, broken relationships, and past trauma. The understanding of roles in a relationship, and loyalty and a goal to bring pride to their husband, parents, and children.
Great maybe we can have an economy where the women don't need to also go out and work 40 hours a week and stay home and cook, clean, mind the kids and go have lunch with all the other women.
I've seen a few episodes of this show you reviewed (not this woman, but other episodes). I like this woman for not allowing herself to be trapped by the men that host it. She's forcing them to see her point of view, not the other way around (which is usually what happens, what they like, and what they're used to). I'm not attracted to her, but appreciate her strength (finally, they bring someone on their show that has real strength!).
Most relationships are transactional on some level. That’s how life is.

An adult woman SHOULD care about money when it comes to relationships. If a man is over the age of 25 and still earning an entry level salary it’s a sign of immaturity. I had a bf that came from a wealthy family, but he didn't tell me for some time because he didn't want our relationship to be based on money. He was wonderful & smart, and when he told me, I was happy that he could live securely unlike myself who couldn't afford to buy clothes. He rewarded me many times over with his generosity. It was icing on the cake for an already amazing man.

You have to make x amount of money, provide x resource, provide x service, etc. It's like a business agreement which is why it works for some people. Idk if I would ever do it that way, and tbh I kind of agree with the woman regarding if we love each other we'll stay together regardless. I think it's a fine answer. She recognizes the possibility that men are only paying for access to her body. She also recognizes that she isn't in a place to speak for these men. That alone-that kind of awareness of someone other than herself-may be an attribute that makes her a companion men enjoy being around. Traditionally, men paid for everything in a relationship, yet it wasn't all about the woman giving sex. A woman was her man's companion and understood his other needs.
