I got my puppy last week, and its crazy bc she's never cried or whined at night in her crate. She didn't even need to be crate trained, she just hops in whenever she wants to nap or be comfortable. She even puts herself to bed at night, I just close the crate for her haha

That’s funny my dogs name is Nova too, she has the same bed and she loves it’s so much. Also, enjoy sleeping/resting with her head on something too. But I’m trying so hard to crate train her before we move into my new apartment because I know she will be home alone more.

if u have a bigger crate, should you put a bed in there that is covers the whole crate so they dont pee in there? if yes, what do u do if they start biting on the bed?
Am getting a puppy and purchased a "Apartment Puppy Crate".....is this a good idea?
Thank for the advise i bought a crate i am back to sleep !!!!! 😊 but because she is so small she needs to have a pad in the vet said . But she stays there all night and if i take her out early she goes back with no problem.

What size crate are you using ?
We just lost both of our Yorkies a few months apart they were sisters from two different letters the oldest teacup had dementia I think it's called and the other sister had bladder cancer so we decided to get two more female puppies Yorkies of course but I never have tried to potty train two puppies at one time any suggestions will be greatly appreciated thanks enjoyed the video

Hi! It is the smaller size. I believe they only have two sizes available. Nova really loves it! She naps in it during the day and sleeps in her crate during the night. :)

When did you start to train her? Like how many weeks old did she learn sit and wait?
I started as soon as she came home so 8 weeks! She’s 15 weeks right now so if I had to guess she got it at around 10-11 weeks

What should I do if I don't want her to sleep in her crate but I want her to stay in there and feel comfortable if we are out for a bit.
I definitely think trying the tips I talked about in this video is very applicable to just getting your puppy okay with being in the crate on their own. It's just a bonus for me that Nova falls asleep somtimes! 😊

While we’re practicing crate training during the day should we keep it where they sleep or could I bring it out to the main house?
The awesome thing about crates is that you can move them! I generally move mine to whatever room I’m in so if I’m in class then I bring it into my office 😊❤️

I fed her and still feed her 3 times a day! Eventually I want to go to just feeding her once a day when she’s an adult. I’ve always liked the name Nova. She was supposed to be named something else but then Nova just felt more her and more right 😊

Hi! I just got my fur baby yesterday. I am crate training him. I keep a puppy pad in his crate but I notice you did not have one in his crate and said to fill every area with items so your puppy do not use it. Should I not have a puppy pad in his crate during the day and have one in there just as night since he’s in there longer?
Hi! I don’t recommend keeping a potty pad in your puppy’s crate and would suggest you train your puppy to hold it in their crate instead and take them out to potty. This will help in potty training in the future since your puppy will learn to hold their bladder. Instead, I think you should choose a designated potty area to put the potty pad and always bring your puppy there so they learn that if they have to potty, that’s where they should go.

My puppy didn’t like her crate, The good thing is, is that she NEVER EVER NEVER pees or poops inside, she has a “mentor” which is our older dog and they do that outside so We leave her outside with her “mentor” and we have a doggie door if she wants to ago inside, we also have a baby gate

After watching my dog a bit after he went in the crate I discovered the second he went in he did his business. I’m like omg. 😩
Oh no! Maybe it has to do with the size of the crate? If it’s too big for your puppy they may separate it to one area for sleeping and one area for potty. Or maybe try putting a blanket down or a bed that fills the entire space. 😊
