In Sweden you can get the yeticaster kit for the same price as the microphone itself so it's a no-brainer. Thank you for the review, bought this kit because of this review.
Is it possible to put a Røde NT USB mic on this thing? Like on the shockmount? I might sound stupid, but because of some weird prices at my local stores its the cheapest way to get the RØDE with a sturdioarm and shockmount :)
what a coincidence your last name is ash and its part of the name of the local music store a mile from me called sam ash. love them, they have every audio device and good prices :D
Hey, that was a good video. I was just wondering is this mic has sidetone?(will i be able to hear myself speaking when i connect my headphones to mic?) If yes, is it software controlled or what. because i heard Blue Yeti Nano has that spec.
@@jordanash Didn't expect a reply, thanks for noticing my little comment lol, keep up the good work. Also probably one of the best yeticaster reviews, you go into pretty nice detail.
hello, so the audio of you talking here is your voice straight from this mic yes? if so, it actually sounds good. Or else it could be you are blessed with a nice voice. Thanks for the video.
Jordan Ash The cable but the part that goes into the blue yeti and idk which one get off of Amazon need help bc people are saying they don’t work as well as the one that come with it originally
mine just falls right away. the clamp broke as soon as a slight amount of pressure was added. it does not flex very well. This is definitely not worth it.
This might be an obvious answer but I'm not sure so gonna ask. So the mute button ... behind the pop filter. Say your on a meeting or whatever and you want to be on mute. How do you press the mute button easily when it's behind the pop filter? Is there another way to go on mute? Or do you just reach behind the pop filter.
Hi there! Just wondering do you need anything else to complete this audio setup? For example I know some microphones go into a black box which makes the sound clearer etc.. sorry I don’t really know how audio works properly but looking into going into twitch streaming so hoping this package is all I need!
Seeing how easy the arm slides onto the mount has me worried that it doesn't lock in, is the weight of the setup enough for it to not easily slide out? Unless the fit is ever so tight to help, just wouldn't want to ever knock it off as worst case scenario lol
If anyone can help me, I cant seem to find out if you can only hear your voice or also game sound on the headphone output. I really need that option, i love the mic but need to be sure.
If you're using the 3.5mm jack, then you can set the mic as a sound output on the PC, so you hear your gameplay too. I used to do this for all my gaming content
To be honest I've never tried to use a mic like this on PS4. If it supports USB mics, then I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's plug and play after all.
Yes it is, but if your buying it just to use on the PS4 I don’t recommend you buying it. There’s a stupid bug or idk what it is, but you can’t use your blue yeti as microfone and a other headset connected to your PS4 controller separate. So basically, to hear your games and stuff on your headset, you will need to connect your headset onto the blue yeti, which you think wouldn’t be a problem, although you keep hearing your voice every time you talk into the mic.. so I just stopped using it on my PS4 and I will be using it only on my pc when I buy it..
Just bought one, it absolutely sucks, tension in the arm was way too high, not possible to reduce it. And why would you have a microphone hovering above your forehead, I've seen no streamer with a setup like that.
In Sweden you can get the yeticaster kit for the same price as the microphone itself so it's a no-brainer.
Thank you for the review, bought this kit because of this review.
That's what made me look it up aswell, it's confusing really.
In Finland, it is even cheaper than normal yeti

Depends on the thread to put it on THIS shockmount. You could get the Rode shockmount and use that though, for sure.
Just ordered one of these yesterday and I'm excited to get it. Thanks for the review!
Bryton Robinson How Is It ?
How is it? I have one on the way with the Logitech C922 Pro streaming webcam aswell!
Hawkuhz I Got It It’s Great You Should Also Add Voicemeter With It
You deserve more recognition, keep it going mate 🙏
Thank you, I really appreciate that.

This help me alot to understand more about the bule Yeti
And I just order one thanks a million
Glad it helped! You're welcome.
Why is it that the smaller youtubers have some of the best content?

Just what's shown in the video.
Great video and thank you for providing great content!

Yeah, all recorded with it. Haha, thank you.
The weight of my mic seems to drag the arm down unless its fixed at a certain angle and height... does this happen with yours?
Ah, it might be too heavy for it. I don't have that issue. What mic are you using?
How long is each arm?
works and looks wonderful
It does!
Hi! Great video! Can I get a link to that desktop walllpaper?
Thanks! It's on the Asus ROG website.
The Pop filter you are using where did you get it. It looks like it screws on really nicely and fits in that area.
Probably Amazon. I said in the video I've had it for years, so it might not have been from there.
Jordan Ash thanks for responding
awesome video thank you
Thank you!
Hey,
Nice video, do you have a link to the pop filter?
Thanks! It's a basic one like this mate - amzn.to/3jvz1cM
Hi there - this is such a helpful video - thank you! Can you kindly publish a link for the pop filter you use? thanks
Thank you! It's just a generic one that I bought years ago. What country are you in?

does this come with the yeti mic stand as well? Great video thanks
The stand to use it on a desk?
@@jordanash yes
Question I have the same blue yeti and my usb broke where can I get the same one on amazon help🥺
The USB port, or the USB cable?
Jordan Ash The cable but the part that goes into the blue yeti and idk which one get off of Amazon need help bc people are saying they don’t work as well as the one that come with it originally
I've used other ones without a problem, that's odd.
THANK YOU
Is the blue voice software compatible with this? Interested in having a compressor/eq
Unfortunately, I don't think it is. Only the Yeti X and the G Pro headphones as far as I know.
Thanks for the video.
How flexible is the boom arm? Could you stand up (in full figure) and play guitar and sing into it? Or do you have to sit down?
Thanks for watching! You can make it straight, but it's only about four foot long.
mine just falls right away. the clamp broke as soon as a slight amount of pressure was added. it does not flex very well. This is definitely not worth it.
Mine works great but I guess yours had something wrong with it
Question I’m getting this soon but I need a longer usb cord will this work Premium 25ft USB 2.0 A to Mini B 5 Pin USB Cable? Thank you💜
Yes it will
Does this work well for vocals/singing??
Yeah of course
@@jordanash thank you!🙏🏾
No probs
do you guys recommend this for recording rap songs?
Yep.
have you tried this with a different mic? If so any issues with mic rising or lowering depending on weight of the mic?
I use it with a blue ember at the moment. Without the pop shield it's too light to stay down though
@@jordanash just what I needed to know. Thanks. Is it metal where magnets could help weigh it down? It is the best looking arm out there.
Is this mike good for ACX audiobook recording?
Yeah, this is great for pure voice work.
I just use software mute
Maximum rage of the C clamp?
I'd say 70mm.
Is mute button supposed to be smushy? It feels bad to press but guess if it was more clicky mic would pick it up. Right?
Is the pop filter bought separately?
Yes, there's a link in the description if you want one

For example I know some microphones go into a black box which makes the sound clearer etc.. sorry I don’t really know how audio works properly but looking into going into twitch streaming so hoping this package is all I need!
its just a usb mic
What pop filter are you using?
Just a cheap generic one that I've had for years. Paid about £10 for it on Amazon, around six or seven years ago.

It won't come out, trust me. You have to have the centre of gravity perfectly straight to pull it out, there's no way you can just knock it out.
@@jordanash Awesome thanks for the response!
No worries man!
What kind of software audio filtering do you apply afterwards?
None! This video has raw audio throughout.
@@jordanash I’d change up the bass slightly
For that shock mount is it possible to use it in a side orientation?
Yeah, you'd just have to do it up really tight so it holds
Hi, sorry for the late comment but do you by any chance know the name of the pop filter you used in this video?
No idea, I'm afraid. It's not branded, plus I bought it around 2012. It's literally a $10 one from Amazon.
Alright, thank you for the response
With this microphone bundle can you have the microphone sitting upright and it won’t get messed up in anyway right?
Yeah, for sure ☺
Jordan Ash I’m super close to buying to improve my mic quality I am using a blue snowball for the past few years it’s kinda been cutting out.
can you attatch it to a glass table ? or is that a problem ?
I don't see why not! Just don't clamp it down with He-man like pressure 😂
1:40 he's pointing a gun at his monitor !!
I'm on my phone 😂
Hey man, how close do you have to be to use this mic?
I use mine about 6-8 inches away. You can turn it up and use it further away, you will just get more background noise.
Is it a USB microphone?
Yep.
Should I buy this? Its on sale for 120€
Do it!

Not if you put the arm low and the mic upright
How did you get the mic in the upright position

Just bought one, it absolutely sucks, tension in the arm was way too high, not possible to reduce it.
And why would you have a microphone hovering above your forehead, I've seen no streamer with a setup like that.
Oh that's odd, might be a defective unit.
