@@pstanek127 that wasn't at all what I was talking about. This is a PVE game only unlike nioh 1. I get if you patch things so ppl can't cheat using save wizard going around one shotting everything but this change literally was implemented to keep ppl in a game that isn't a live service. We come play put it down, wait for dlc and continue. If players want to back up saves to save time let them. Not everyone has 20+ hours a week to grind out materials
Just a quick note on Level Sync; I have found it to be more effective to just do Random Encounters. You are always level synced as a guest, so YOUR drops are always of highest quality. And as a guest there is lower risk because you have at minimum one more person to gank bosses or enemies with and if you do die, you don't have to waste a candle or risk losing your amrita on a suicide run. Just an opinion but I felt it was worth mentioning
Not our loss if the 5 % wants to whine about the co-op side of the game existing. And to be honest, none of those co-op benefits are going to help people in higher difficulties if they don't know what to do with them in the first place. Level Sync kinda isn't worth it.
If you don't get the grace you want on an accessory, after you performed the resting rites if you don't press X to accept it you can reboot the game a press receive stone to take back your accessory without having to reload a save.
God, the rng is crazy. I just entered wise and started farming in voice of twilight (great early farming spot btw especially for clay bell which is essential to kill bosses) i actually got yata mirror with owatasumi grace and excellent star effect for that grace and decided to make a build based on that but every time i got ethereal gear or using stone of penance for accessory it always kagutsuchi and ame no uzume. It's like the game know what i need to make a build and decided to screw with me.

I know what you mean. I got so burned out I reached out to the PS Nioh community for a build. They referred me to the Nioh discord which a godsend like Cowboy said in this video. Anyway even after I still had to grind for hours, pretty much a full day and had to mess with all kind of stuff to get it perfect. I was burned out once I finished the build. I didn’t touch the game for a few days or a week maybe after. It takes a ton of work.
@@rashonburnett6473 i feel you man and them nerfing and buffing other stuff in patches certainly doesn't help either, i spent time making a poison build with otakemaru but both got nerfed, tengen was nerfed and so did the honda clan i was so pissed all that time wasted for nothing.. Yeah been playing way of the wise for about a month now. I am level 450 and still cant beat the bosses in the first region. I dont know how that works, if im 100 levels stronger than a boss and still shooting wet paper wads at him.
The grind just levelled up even higher😥. Love nioh but nowadays i dont have the time to put into it since im doing my masters. Seeing everyone making builds and im being left behind.😭
Why would team ninja patch save scumming? It is already a grind shitshow to piece a build together with all the forging and inheritable, now they make it even harder and more time consuming and tedious as it ever was, I cannot think of a single nioh player that would be pleased by that change.
exactly it`s not as if they are scum making money our of rng/drop loot like other corporations,...it`s a bit strange. it keeps the end-game community alive, but as i say logging in every day is just to give them active numbers on steam/ps i guess.
There’s save scumming for Accessories as well! Before performing resting rites, save your game. If the accessory doesn’t come with the grace you want, quit and take your stone back. Reroll your stats via sudama and then do stone pentance again.
what if we don't wanna reroll the stats? Will taking the stone back and retrying with the same accessory (without Sudama rerolling) change the grace or will the grace remain the same after penance
This is the post-game, not all that surprising. It was meant for those who sought to explore deeper into complex RPG looter systems, a lot of people aren't going to jump into it. To be fair, I feel much of it suffers from making players jump through more hoops than necessary to get the builds they want/need. Many looters have failed to nail the concept of a good & rewarding endgame, which is why sometimes I wish people would be more willing to actually discuss it constructively rather than cover their ears and yell "filthy casual" or "elitist scum" from the rooftops like in the many communities I've been part of.
I'm not sure how I feel even now about the fact that each new level of difficulty basically restarts the gear/build grind all over again, 'cause your perfect Strong build gets junked as soon as Demon starts, ditto Demon for Wise, and very likely Wise for Nioh...but at the same time, it also basically means that every new difficulty level is an opportunity to play the game fresh again, and if I didn't like to play the game, I wouldn't be screwing around with NG+, let alone NG+3. And while getting rid of save scumming may make things harder in some ways, at the same time, I don't consider downloading and uploading data for hours (or for that matter banging on the crafting buttons) to be the slightest bit enjoyable.
Makes me think that's why there's so many people against PVP. Because "perfect" builds against the enemies, all of a sudden become very "niche", when you have a wide variety of things to specialize in. If you don't balance, you ego can get humbled very quickly.

I left for 1 months due to work and was extremely overwhelmed with all the new things/changes. The grind turns me off so hard. I actually had an easier time grinding thru MHW than this game.
Just a heads up cowboy, stone of penance does NOT stack with Sudama Skull, both give the exact same effect if Sudama Skull is full familiarity and stone is max penitence. So just use one or the other.

There are a couple of corpses (quickest that's been found is in sun sets on mt tenno, near first shrine) as well as a couple of missions that gave guaranteed ranged weapon drops. I suggest either corpse farming or burning through those missions to get them.
You can still reload, as it always, on PS4 though you must also save away two different files, the system date AND your character. And then reload your system. If you do not save your system data the materials is gone. So materials etc is on the system data and items on Character data. So save and reload both and your good to go I just did this latest today.
I’m pretty sure you don’t need DLC to get to wotw, you just need to beat new game++. So dream of the samurai is the first play through, then it’s dream of the strong, dream of the demon then way of the wise.. then after that it’s dream of Nioh. Just got to way of the wise
Lucky drops accessories, got 2 yasakanis and one of them ethereal from Act 4 refined man of the Underworld, it was using penance though. Regading the penance, this you cant save scum. It becomes set in stone as you explained, need to relase and and redo. Using Lucky Asseccories with my corruption set mate me recieve a total of 5 accories with both melee dmg vs zero ki AND star effect on vs corrupted enemy. Wanted to play Odachi and used Lucky weapon and slotted in a green corrupted Odachi. It didnt take long. The downside of using this is you miss out on other potential etherals if your farming for other items you need to not use Lucky drops. There is also an Orange effect on Scrolls that give Etheral drop A. This increases the Ethereal drop dramatically. I tried it and its a rather massive difference.
I'm kinda done with this game. i'll wait until the last DLC is released, finish the story and that's it. The grind is not worth it! I started the campaing on DOTW just to gain enough levels so i can finish the DLC on DOTD and i was terribly burnt out at the end. Not counting the horrible frame drops on the final boss! It makes that fight more tedious than it is. I don't have the time anymore for this kind of grinds. I usually follow some of your strategies and guides, but i don't want to waste that amount of time trying to make a perfect build that would become a little "useless" once the new DLC drops. Very true, doing 1 level on wise gives you just enough for 1 level, not to mention even a gaki two shots underl-levelled character. Grinding levels to grind for gear which is trash 99.9% of the time is just not fun. Idk how people have so much time to endure this level of grind.
100% right there with you man. Got thru about 2 regions on way of the wise and gave up thru boredom. The missions needs to be changed up to keep it interesting. Can’t push myself to beat all the missions again, only to wait for way of nioh to just do it all again lmao. I’m done.
I know they wanna make the game last longer but patching Save Scumming was not the way. This will make people get tired of a build without playing it long enough.
So I am level 300. I am on way of the wise. Because I'm still rocking my ninja gear pre dlc content I am pretty weak. Im trying to find the best strategy here. I still want to rock. Ninja gear as I saw some new graces that help; but I cannot get any where on wise with my current setup. So should I just finish up wotd until I'm at a appropriate level or should I party up.with high levels and have them pretty much carry me. My goal is to get to at least 400 if not close enough to where I can without being carried
I agree. I breezed through dream of the strong pre-nerf getting by with the tengen spirit and Honda clan attack buff so didn't care about a build. Now trying dream of the demon I'm just overwhelmed with the grind. Everything is destroying me.
Benz is more than okay for demon and for wise. I used his benz build entirely through wise and for farming bc my luck was crappy is wise for the most part.

Level 302 and just started way of the wise, Let me tell you this you can be 70+ levels below but if you have a descent build with the fist and you can manage that 10 stacks buff from passively chaining fist skills then you’re solid

Do nioh 2 armor perks/ stack? Example: lets say I have 1x 50 dual blade damage on each piece of armor. Do now get 5x 50 dmg dual blade damage or only once?
Small update, you can inherit a grace onto non-set ethereal gear. I found an ethereal dual sword with a star effect I liked (the purity ones) but not Susano; I was able to inherit it on there. A good use for sudamas is to reroll ethereal gear you don't want til you get the grace inheritance attribute along with the grace you want.
Haven't played this game for quite a time so just bouth the 2 dlc and got the first ng++ mode but for the love of rng I never get lucky drop rate to appear on temper is it exclusive to wise or something?
What about farming for Ethereal Ranged Weapons? I've been farming for days getting my set together and have yet to get a single Ethereal Ranged Weapon I need. As it is I've only gotten approximately 27 Ethereal Ranged Weapons with 92 luck Ethereal drop rate A- 29.6% equipment drop rate and stone of pennance +8
Hey @fightingcowboy , I'm returning to you for your wisdom once more. On Nioh 2 I've beaten the darkness in the capital dlc and am curious if we can get all sword techniques from Raikou. I got one of them where it slashes around you in a AoE as you sheath your single blade so I'm just curious about her other single sword moves.

Hey FCB or anyone in general. I have two options at my disposal here as i have gotten pretty lucky. I can either use gloves with the star effects life drain active skill and grapple damage or life drain active skill and final blow damage. Both give 20% damage boost i just dont know which to pick. Which do i choose?
I beat otakemaru like 50 levels under in all divine gear now I can't seem to get shit for ethereal gear 😔 idk if I should go back and play all the missions or just go to way of the nioh / underworld
I was enjoying Demon but now in Wise it feels like I've just hit a brick wall. Demon was a pretty massive jump up in difficulty, but even so with all Divine Gear +18-20 and two sets on, full Versatility stacks, Otakemaru was taking a long time to die, even with Confusion and whatnot. But then I started Wise and holy shit. The enemies HP is astronomical. Right now I'm hardly ever finding Ethereal so I'm stuck in Wise still using Divine gear with Benzaitens and Warrior of the East. I'm honestly not sure what to do, I feel like progression will be incredibly slow at this point. Idk if I'll make it through Wise, and it's insane that people talk about just "rushing through all the difficulties to get to Dream of the Nioh" lol. This shit is taking for EVER.

Im stuck at way of the wise, weapons lv 180+20. How can i fuck upgrade myself? Did i really need to soul mathc my weapon until +99? Its the only way? Yer i don t understand how forge is needed in lv 300+..im missing something
I’m new to the NG+ and I find one thing confusing, do I need to complete every single mission in strong, wise etc to get the stuff? Or just the “main” missions
As you complete missions it fills a bar that you can look at from the region change screen. Main missions fill the bar slightly faster than side missions, once you gain access to the final mission "in the eye of the beholder" you can complete that to unlock the next difficulty. Currently it stops at dream of the wise, dream of the nioh should come with the next dlc
For farming, doing side missions that have items you're looking for is worth it, also you'll have to do SOME side missions in order to unlock later regions so no reason not to do some that you know
Dude every community has some elitist people you can't help it. Nioh community is more better but still even the original souls community is also awesome. Yes there are more trolls and assholes in dark souls community but at the same time many people help you a lot. Some people jsut act like dick for fun but actually help
I found an Ultimate Energy+Ultimate heart scroll if anyone is interested, I have no idea how to do co-op Scroll missions but I’ll gladly share the scroll
For “energy” I meant “stamina”, sorry for the bad translation. Ultimate stamina grants AA in both agility and toughness. Ultimate heart instead grants you extra Ki when switching guards during a Ki pulse
why I cant change some graces with grace inheritance? for example i cant change The honour in harmony into Susano etc? thank you! its driving me nuts lol
I still do not understand how mystic dyad works. I have never seen an ethereal weapon with grace inheritance. I have a lot of mystic dyad tonfas sitting around with no way of getting a second grace on them.

Agreed! Nioh is a fantastic game but the grind is just way too crazy now.

Save scumming should have been patched out from the start. If you don't have time to farm for armor then don't.

You've got to beat the game 3 times over to get into way of the wise, no players are new at that stage.

I started the campaing on DOTW just to gain enough levels so i can finish the DLC on DOTD and i was terribly burnt out at the end.
Not counting the horrible frame drops on the final boss! It makes that fight more tedious than it is.
I don't have the time anymore for this kind of grinds.
I usually follow some of your strategies and guides, but i don't want to waste that amount of time trying to make a perfect build that would become a little "useless" once the new DLC drops.

Very true, doing 1 level on wise gives you just enough for 1 level, not to mention even a gaki two shots underl-levelled character. Grinding levels to grind for gear which is trash 99.9% of the time is just not fun. Idk how people have so much time to endure this level of grind.
100% right there with you man. Got thru about 2 regions on way of the wise and gave up thru boredom. The missions needs to be changed up to keep it interesting. Can’t push myself to beat all the missions again, only to wait for way of nioh to just do it all again lmao. I’m done.
I know they wanna make the game last longer but patching Save Scumming was not the way. This will make people get tired of a build without playing it long enough.

So I am level 300. I am on way of the wise. Because I'm still rocking my ninja gear pre dlc content I am pretty weak. Im trying to find the best strategy here. I still want to rock. Ninja gear as I saw some new graces that help; but I cannot get any where on wise with my current setup. So should I just finish up wotd until I'm at a appropriate level or should I party up.with high levels and have them pretty much carry me. My goal is to get to at least 400 if not close enough to where I can without being carried

I agree. I breezed through dream of the strong pre-nerf getting by with the tengen spirit and Honda clan attack buff so didn't care about a build. Now trying dream of the demon I'm just overwhelmed with the grind. Everything is destroying me.

Benz still shreds demon, did it a few weeks ago while I was catching up.
Benz is more than okay for demon and for wise. I used his benz build entirely through wise and for farming bc my luck was crappy is wise for the most part.
I'm looking forward to locking down my build for minamoto dual swords.

Let me tell you this you can be 70+ levels below but if you have a descent build with the fist and you can manage that 10 stacks buff from passively chaining fist skills then you’re solid
Applies to any weapon rlly. Its more the equipment than anything.

Viable for their intended difficulties. If you try and bring something like Obsidian Samurai into Dream of the Wise you're gonna get destroyed.

Do nioh 2 armor perks/ stack? Example: lets say I have 1x 50 dual blade damage on each piece of armor. Do now get 5x 50 dmg dual blade damage or only once?

Small update, you can inherit a grace onto non-set ethereal gear. I found an ethereal dual sword with a star effect I liked (the purity ones) but not Susano; I was able to inherit it on there. A good use for sudamas is to reroll ethereal gear you don't want til you get the grace inheritance attribute along with the grace you want.

What about farming for Ethereal Ranged Weapons? I've been farming for days getting my set together and have yet to get a single Ethereal Ranged Weapon I need. As it is I've only gotten approximately 27 Ethereal Ranged Weapons with 92 luck Ethereal drop rate A- 29.6% equipment drop rate and stone of pennance +8
Hey @fightingcowboy , I'm returning to you for your wisdom once more. On Nioh 2 I've beaten the darkness in the capital dlc and am curious if we can get all sword techniques from Raikou. I got one of them where it slashes around you in a AoE as you sheath your single blade so I'm just curious about her other single sword moves.
She has a couple, haven't farmed em myself but i know she has 3 or so.

All depends on luck, I took probably 20 kills to get all of hayabusa's skills and he has like 5 or 6 different things between texts and skills.
@@FightinCowboy 5 or 6? Huh.. i got the kizuna drop and the two ninjutsu scrolls from him. Hayabusa i don't mind farming, he's a load of fun to fight! Would it be too much to ask what other skills we can get from him besides the ones i listed? I really only see him do his jumping dash slash and not much of anything else besides kunai spam. 🤔
He has 3 ninjutsu skills I believe (blades, fireball, ki bullet), izuna drop, claw move, and then smithing text for armor, blade, and claws.
Hey FCB or anyone in general. I have two options at my disposal here as i have gotten pretty lucky. I can either use gloves with the star effects life drain active skill and grapple damage or life drain active skill and final blow damage. Both give 20% damage boost i just dont know which to pick. Which do i choose?
Grapple helps on yokai bosses so I'd do that

I was enjoying Demon but now in Wise it feels like I've just hit a brick wall. Demon was a pretty massive jump up in difficulty, but even so with all Divine Gear +18-20 and two sets on, full Versatility stacks, Otakemaru was taking a long time to die, even with Confusion and whatnot.
But then I started Wise and holy shit. The enemies HP is astronomical. Right now I'm hardly ever finding Ethereal so I'm stuck in Wise still using Divine gear with Benzaitens and Warrior of the East. I'm honestly not sure what to do, I feel like progression will be incredibly slow at this point. Idk if I'll make it through Wise, and it's insane that people talk about just "rushing through all the difficulties to get to Dream of the Nioh" lol. This shit is taking for EVER.
The big kodama method doesnt work either. And apparently neither does lucky drop accessories.

I’m new to the NG+ and I find one thing confusing, do I need to complete every single mission in strong, wise etc to get the stuff? Or just the “main” missions
As you complete missions it fills a bar that you can look at from the region change screen. Main missions fill the bar slightly faster than side missions, once you gain access to the final mission "in the eye of the beholder" you can complete that to unlock the next difficulty. Currently it stops at dream of the wise, dream of the nioh should come with the next dlc
For farming, doing side missions that have items you're looking for is worth it, also you'll have to do SOME side missions in order to unlock later regions so no reason not to do some that you know

For “energy” I meant “stamina”, sorry for the bad translation. Ultimate stamina grants AA in both agility and toughness. Ultimate heart instead grants you extra Ki when switching guards during a Ki pulse

I still do not understand how mystic dyad works. I have never seen an ethereal weapon with grace inheritance. I have a lot of mystic dyad tonfas sitting around with no way of getting a second grace on them.
