The smell of the U-Bahn! I’ve literally never met anyone else who agrees with me. I love it. I can summon it in my imagination at any time. I miss it.

Thank you for bringing me along on your trip! And thanks for the tips too. I like to make my own travel journals as well. Funny thing: My uncle used to travel on business to Germany in the mid 1980s. He told us once that there were no places to go that were serving breakfast--it just wasn't a done thing in Germany. I guess times have changed--luckily!

"Travel as an artist, not as a tourist." I love it!

Caylee: I’m so impressed with this video for many reasons. I plan to watch it again. I have to have time to take it all in and think about it. Thx. Carol from California, USA

OMG that grafitti alley ... am I the only one who is thinking "peel that loose stuff off the walls and stick it in your journal!!"? Best half hour I've spent all week!!

Definitely I did too. They are all pretty glued on there.

Thank you for sharing this! I really love your honest approach to travel journaling. I always feel pressure for mine to be perfect, and it can take the fun out of the experience, which is totally not the point of it. I got some great ideas! I absolutely love your style :) xxx

I have barely any control over what happens with the journals, haha. They kind of end up how they'd like no matter what I do. I'll be sharing my others soon. I love some and also, uhm, others I love despite what they look like ;)

Wow 😮.

Deine finde ich besonders, also bleib dabei 😉.
Herzliche Grüße aus dem Ruhrgebiet 🙋‍♀️.

Also, I love your way of seeing journals as a whole. My favourite journals ever are done in this way. Often maximalist :-P
My husband is a very goal-oriented and linear person. It’s very hard for him to understand my more exploring and process-oriented approach. IF I show him anything, he often asks a bit questioningly if I work back and forth on my pages. I: YEAH? 🤷‍♀️

Loved every bit of it! But I am especially intrigued by what Cheburashka dish/drink is in the first cafe! It's a character from a Soviet cartoon 👀😀

Haha! I'm 100% unsure of what you're talking about. BUT! The place is called Café Datscha Kreuzberg. I did a google and it looks like it's a cocktail with sea buckthorn infused vodka, lime, soda.

The cafe is Russian, and half of Berlin was Soviet until 1990. So that makes sense.

Love this, so inspirational! Also lust has (besides the English meaning) the same meaning as you describe in Swedish too.

That's really cool! I've found Afrikaans and Swedish to be super similar, actually. We watched a show where they spoke Swedish and we had to keep pausing to check it wasn't Afrikaans!
