- Hello everyone! First of all, let me say that upon looking back I can honestly say I have read some incredible books this year! Making this list was NOT easy, but someone had to do it ... and that someone was me apparently.
Ezeekat's Book Club kicks off with our first book on January. In the meantime, feel free to join the Club on Goodreads!

Crescent city destroyed my life and I am thankful for it. Plus cemetery boys was such an amazing story!!
I've recently purchased The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. It is going to be the first book I read for my 2021 book challenge. Can't wait!
I finished it just before Christmas and holy crap. The writing and story is so so nice.
Did you finish it?? What did you think?
@@jenbennett8227 I am a bit of a slow reader and for some reason I struggled through the first half of the book. But I am proud to announce that I just finished it and it was a very interesting story. I love how the author incorporated so much of the fine arts in it!
@@heatherd8577 I’m so glad you liked it! Twist ending right??
@@jenbennett8227 Ohmygosh yes! I wasn't expecting that!
I'm even prettier as i was already subscribed 😉
The prettiest!!
I love the way you talk about Crescent City! It’s so amazing when a book hits you so hard that you think about it everyday after reading it ❤️
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A YT CHANNEL? I was living under a rock I guess, cause I've been following you on Instagram for a loooong time and I love your Reels :D Gonna binge watch your videos now. Sending over some love from Berlin (germany) ♥
Every book you talk about ends up on my TBR, uh oh. So much energy in your vids, love it
Yay, thank you!
I would say my number 1 top book from 2020 is crescent city, bc it just blew my mind. Every new chapter I had another theory about what was going on and who could possibly be the murder, but I haven't seen THAT ending coming. And I can't wait for CC 2 !!
Also: you now got me with Addie LaRue..The german book comes out in march or april I guess, but I'm now looking for the english version since I cannot wait any longer lol Even though my english is not theee best, but I want to try it. ♥
I know I’m very late commenting but I was so excited to see one of your honorable mentions “Shine” by Jessica Jung. What I think is really neat about this book is actually Jessica’s insight into the Kpop world. She was a member of Girls Generation (SNSD) one of the biggest girl groups in Kpop. I completely forgot that she wrote this book, so thank you for reminding me!
I just read Addie LaRue because of you, cried my eyes out then immediately boxed it up and ran to the post office to mail it to my sister! I love every page of it!!
I was trying to find books... I followed you on tiktok forever ago and then I was like "I wonder if he has a 2020 list." So glad I checked 😊
"why aren't there more numbers than 10" was such a mood
Found you via TikTok! I can never sum up a reading year before the year is actually over. I mean, days left of the year, means I can actually read more books. 😉
So great to see the Crescent City love! That scene with the vacuum was the most hilarious thing I’ve ever read in a book - so unexpected!
I loved The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue so much that I wrote a song about it 😂 You can check it out in my instagram @kimberlyhanami (the video is kinda lame but I'm proud of the lyrics). Also, the House the Cerulean Sea felt like the typical family movies I watched as a kid where MCs take care of chaotic children, except that it was full of diversity and it made my heart happy 💜 It felt like a safe place indeed.
The absolute best thing I can say about Cemetery Boys is that it lives up to the hype. I'm so glad I was able to pick up this book and I can't wait to check out the rest of the books you mentioned!
I made a top 15 this year. I read like 180 books and only gave 15 of the books 5 stars so it felt really mean to try to restrict that to a top ten.
Thank you for this, Jaysen! I just finished SJM's Throne of Glass last week and am excited to read more, including Crescent City. I'm actually picking up The Invisible Life of Addie Larue today from my local library and I can't wait to start it.
Hey, we overlapped on Addie LaRue! (It was one of my honorable mentions.) I'll have to check out some of these that I haven't read.
Thanks for this video! I was flipping between the video and goodreads the entire time, adding books to my to-read list! Also, I read The House in the Cereulean as a result of one of your recommendations on tiktok a while back and I just finished it the other day and it was wonderful! Also, I played quidditch in college, so I think I need to read This is How we Fly! I've never heard of any books about college quidditch before, so I think that's pretty cool.
I was patiently waiting for Cemetery Boys and then squealed when you started talking about it! It’s SO GOOD and THE TWIST OH MY GOD IT’S AMAZING
Ok Ezeekat i just hopped in the box!!😊 you have my attention!! Wow u just nailed the list!!❤ The invisible life of Adie Larue!! I thought about this book weeks after finshing it. Beautifully written.. 💖 and tears...yea im one of those lol Sarah j Mass, maybe! maybe! I will give a second chance n pick UP Crescent City. So happy your video came across the recomendation. Awesome review!!👌
Yay! Welcome! Thank you for being here!!!
I just ordered your top 4 books 🙂 super excited! Thanks for the recommendations
Hope you enjoy them!
Dear Edward is a wonderful book! Read it last year, and I was touched by how he was slowly healing while living with his aunt and uncle, even with his friend from next door.
Dear Edward was AWESOME... I want a part 2
@@loriannkocialski162 part 2 would be great!!!
Wish list is looking pretty optimistic at this point 😂
What an amazing list. Added a couple new ones to my TBR. Can’t wait to read Addie La Rue in January.
Thank you for the review of The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. I kept seeing that book mentioned all over, but never really paid it any mind. After your little description, I will definitely be adding it to my TBR! Also, I love your shelves! Where did you get them? (Sorry if you’ve answered that question 100 times already, but I’m a new subscriber and this was my first one of your videos.)
Hope you enjoy it! I got my shelves from Ikea!
I finally picked up Addie because you've hyped it up too much for me not to
ahhh i have so many new books to add to my reading list!!
When you said I was very pretty I could not NOT subscribe, even though I was less than a minute into the first video I've ever watched from you!
Can you give us a heads up about the book of the month pick a few days in advance so library book people can get a hold of it? Please and thank you :)
Dropped everything now!! 😍😍😍
Haha, been working on this one all day! Hope you like it!
I love your review of the house in the cerulean sea 😂🤣👍🏻
I love your videos. Thanks for your amazing content.✨
“Why aren’t there more numbers than 10!”
Uhhh... may I introduce you to 11... 😂
Addie LeRue was AMAZING! I really adored it too ^-^
I absolutely adored crescent city!
love this list :) well done you.
Do you have any tips on getting into reading? I mean of course you're a bookworm and it comes to you naturally I guess but lately Ive just recognized my addiction to screens and social media very clearly and want to get into reading again. Still, distraction hits me every time. Id be glad. Love your positive energy too! Greetings from Germany xx
Maybe try choose a book that a movie you like was made after. Or just dive in and grab a book and try to read a bit everyday
i just discovered your chanel today and omg you are sooo wholesome!!
Thank you for saying I’m pretty!
Addie larue UGH was so god damn good
Really just have to hurry up and get House on the Cerulean Sea already
This is how we fly was really good
Agreed!
I am currently Reading Addie Larue ❤️❤️❤️ and fingers crossed.
How many books did you read this year?
I think I'm going to finish at 175
My favorite thing to do when reading is reading the very last sentence of book before I start it.
I have the same top two 🥰😎
I subscribed. Am I pretty now?
I swear to god I am the only Schwab fan who hated Addie LaRue. The whole book was so pretentious and boring.
