Labidochromis sp.Hongi 10 - 2-4cm
pseudotropheus flavus 7 - 4-5cm
pseudotropheus demasoni 7 - 3-4cm
pseudotropheus kingsizei 30 - 3-5cm
Labidochromis Caeruleus 35 - 2-4cm
Melanochromis auratus 40 - 3-5cm
aulononcara fire fish 5 - 2-4cm
melanochromis estherae 15 - 1-4cm
That looks great, the colors are bright and the fish are happy, healthy and active.
@Kingbundy08 You are certainly correct. I have a 60 gallon aquarium and there is a big difference with the Cichlid bully factor now. When I had less, the weaker ones got picked on a lot. Now that I have a lot more, the bully in the tank does not have anyone to single out as easy. They are all doing great!
No aggression there! Great to sit and just watch.
That Feeding Frenzy though lol Great tank and beautiful fish.
Sweet! I'm looking forward to seeing it lol.
@Dirtboxhor actually a proper cichlid tank is required to be overstocked. This helps eliminate the "bully" factor. Cichlids are notorious for focusing on a fish to pick on. When there is a larger amount of fish they have a hard time keeping track of the other fish that they singled out.
@Kingbundy08 Right now I am still adding. I used to have Neons, Gouramis, etc. I gave those to my sister and set up a Cichlid tank. Because I am still adding, I am only at about 21 right now. Man, I bet you have a beautiful tank with that many in there! On another note... sheesh, I never realized how much Cichlids crap!
Way to go! Great idea raising them together. It will tone their aggression in the long run.
A bit over crowded but over all Tank looks great 👍 pink panther music 🎶 luv it
yes i think the stock is just enough, anyway its okay to over stock as long as you have good filter. suggestion, add more rock. it might add good looks to your tank. as well as extra hiding place for them in case of fighting. nice tank. cheers!!
your hardscape looks really good, but personally i feel like you need more hiding spaces (yes, even with the overstock). and understanding that this is a grow out. i hope you have plans in place for these fish as they get bigger
this is really really nice! i have one of each in my tank and they are growing now, such beautiful fishes =]
true, in the lake they do hang out in very large crowds...but the lakes water density is million times greater
Nice tank. Perfect song for this video. I was thinking 20 cichlids for my 55 gallon might be pushing it. This made me feel better :)
Magnificent aquarium,
Do you have any breeding in the tank?
I've had as many as 80 in a 150 gallon tank (with a 40 gallon refugium), but I do 30% water changes twice a week and 50% once a month. I've always kept a number in my head of 1 adult fish to every 3 gallons or so to keep down the aggression.
That water looks cleaner than my Brita water filter container! I love the extreme water movement; the fish seem to love it. Would you say each of those cichlids are ~$10-15 each?
i agree with what u say about over stocking...it is good to get agression down... but my friend lake malavi is too deep ..hundreds of meters in some areas,,,
Just amazing. But what's the filtration of this aquarium.Do you have any crossbreeding problems?
Awesome set up bro
Awesome fish
Hey I have a question can I put goldfish and chiclid together Or should i seperate them
WHOAH thats a lot of fish! lol Looks great. how big a tank?
Yeah. I like the way an overcrowded mbuna tank looks when there small. He will have to move out the fish as they get bigger though
Great tank! That music needs to go. How about some Africa by Toto? Seems like a fitting song considering the type of fish in the tank.
is it difficult to clean up the debris in the sand? amazing tank indeed.
Thats way too many fishes, by the time they get bigger they are going to breed. But its good to see that there is no aggression in there. And nice fishes! The only reason I'm really into them now is because my mom has a really big tank in my basement in the wall just like yours, but my favorite fish died lol.
This is a very busy tank. Am I correct in adding up your list, do you have 150 fish in this tank? and it looks like some are still not at full adult size. Does it stop the aggression between the fish?
Sorry for so many questions but could I ask what size is the tank, type of filtration set up & how often you do water changes and what %. Many thanks.
Ganz schön überfüllt das Aquarium
friend, great aquarium...180 liters? and how many fishes have you got there?
I assume million, but I can be wrong. It should be prohibited to set up tanks like this!!!
@111olbap nice vocabulairy , i was pointing out that if some one doesn't find something overstocked other people could nitwit
Can't decide if i like the tank or not :/
Although one thing I will give you credit for is keeping it clean with so many fish, still, i'd take some out and sell them off. Are you a breeder by any chance?
WOW i thought I had alot of cichlids in my 250, when they all grow out it will be crazy busy in there!
VERY NICE TANK BRO!!!! WHAT ARE YOU USING FOR FILTRATION??
great idea to have some many cichlids i see no agreesion there but how big is your tank?
Very beautiful. what is your tank size and how many Cichlids are there?
This is the video that lead me to give away all my neon tetras to make way for 50 cichlids in my 100 gallon tank. I'll be overcrowding it like yours to minimize aggression.
Is this freshwater? And are the yellow ones with black stripes kribnesis? great tank btw
In my mind only - as i dont speak for everyone - this tank would be great if it had 1/2 the amount of fish and more rocks placed in such a way that there would be plenty of gaps so that the fish could swim in between them and maybe even relax in darkness behind the rocks.
I just Love it! nice tank man...nice!
@batsareamasing It looks as if its about 150cm to just under 2 meters long. About 40 - 50cms tall and 40 - 50cm deep.
it seems that, he has internal Uv sterilizer... also two of them! as you can see on the right and left side! that's why the water is crystal clear!
Hi great tank! where did you get the rocks from? I need exactly these in my tank! looking for ages.
finaly a real aquarium, really nice
Nice tank ! Do i spot some fry of moorii's ?
I've a 350 litre tank with Mbuna's,Peacocks,Haplochromis and moorii's and they all seem to get along just fine. I've spotted my first mbuna with her mouth FULL of fry.
Malawi cichlids are amazing creatures. Can't stop looking at them! Check out my tank when you find the time. +1 Subbed
Nice setup. I'd add 20-30 more.
Too many fishes in your tank, but you will notice it when they get bigger. I had to learn this myself!
Nice... may I ask which camera you've used to capture this?
Nice tank but i know malawi cichlids are tend to be held in overstocked tanks..but thats a little too much especially when you need to consider them as they get bigger
What substrate are you using? The tank looks awesome! I have been hesitant to get cichlid sand because it looks a little more brown. I'm setting up a 55 Malawi tank and I want white sand. Your input is appreciated!
Quartz sand looks amazing if you’re prepared to put the time in keeping it spotless.
nice. how many fish?
beautiful looking tank, gotta say the music doesn't work though.
on this video !!! i cant imagine how over crowded ur tank looks right now
how many water changes do you have to do per week?
These fish are overcrowded on purpose, to control aggression. Since they're altert and active, they're obviously well cared for.
So can I put some in my 20 gallon and clean it twice a week with a better filter? I have 2 young about 2 inches a yellow and a blue African Cichlids in this tank
Esta de lujo tu acuario
Jesus, with all those fish nd that tank how much did u spend??
the tank is clogged u overfilled it,although i hope u are gonna reduce the fishes
There is a mirror in the back, that is why it looks like there is so much fish
what r u going to do when they get really big man ??
How big is your tank? What kind of filter are you running?
do you think i could keep a cichlid and two baby turtles in the same tank
pool filter sand is what i use grade 2 sand ...if you do not have anything that digs its great and easy to clean .i have a softshell turtle in with my africans and he likes to bury him self so all that the filter doesnt pick up gets mixed in the sand so i have to change it every 2 months my other african tanks every 6 ..and thats cause they also dig but not as bad as the turtle ..
I have a 125 tank.I'm thinking of getting cichlids for it soon. How many would you suggest getting for a tank that size?
i actually didn't know this either but Cichlids should be over stocked. maybe not as over stocked as this one but it's better than under stocked. basically if there isn't enough fish in the tank one or more fish will become "hyperdominant" and claim the entire tank for itself. some fish will get ruthlessly picked on by one fish until they die. so the more fish there is, the harder it is for them to dominate a huge area of the tank and single out a fish. so yeaa ...
i am talking about african cichlids only... it is very good to over stock .even their natural environment is over stocked...do u have a cichlid fishtank? i have 3 ..and i once had one and it was very empty i had about 7 cichlids in a 90 gallon... all died only one survived..now i have two 70 gallons and my old 90... the old 90 has 60 plus cichlids and the other two have 35-40 each...long time none have died, they also respond to food more and eat better amd dont fight ,fins r all ok.
what do you reccomend for a 90 liter ?
i already have a acei and a kribensis chiclid in it
how do you keep it so clean???
is that white gravel?, or crushed coral?
@BMXTYLERLACASSE How many would you say you have in the tank? My 55 is currently understocked, only about 35 fish.
tank is not over crowded watch real footage of african cichlids in lake malawi etc very highly concentrated
What gallon tank is this?
Update and how many fish have you lost from the time this video was taken till current t
I'm new to me Malawi what is the easiest set up to get me going
you killing me man i want also this tank simple and perfect
Why so many fish? Isn't that too crowded for them? I thought it was a pet store at first...
What lighting are you using!?!
How big are the fish?
I had 9 ft tank however all the lovely white sand and rock and coral just kept turning green
So you overstocked your tank...thats fine. I understand why. BUT you over stocked it with baby fish.....what will happen when they all grow to 3-4"? You'll probably flush them and get more juvenile fish? Respond if you have a plan....if not...
is that sand? how course?
how bigs your tank mate?
Nice tank but man its really overcrowded. Cichlids get pretty big.
What kind of filter do you use for this?
you are wacky dude, but i do dig the pink panther shit.
hahaha put a full grown Oscar in there....
wats the length of the tank???
Looks good, but you got too much fish for this tank...
Very nice!!
rocks? what kind?
what kind of light/hood?
Hey, just want to say the person says as many as you want but thats way wrong. Usual rule is one inch of fish to a gallon.
What size is it?
not horrible, overcrowding is done to reduce aggression in african cichlids. If the filtration can handle all this, theres nothing wrong with overcrowding either way.
Respekt!!!
wow... Overstocked Tank... hate to see this when all fish are fully matured
too many fish plus incorrect water flow results in fish appearing not knowing what to do or where to go. they seem baffled.
Nice look.
length and depth are two different things
The upper half of the tank is not even in use...what a waste. The horizontal line while texturally different, is relatively even across the tank. Could be a lot better and lacks that certain "oomph".
best song ever!!!!!!!
