I enjoyed it! I'm still on my first playthrough and picked Slytherin. I am a bit bummed I can't go into the Chamber of Secrets, but you can get into the bathroom where it's located.
You say your choices matter in this game, but now 70+ hours into this game, I don't think it matters as much as people initially thought it would. It's not like Detroit Become Human, but your choices do affect the gameplay and story in a way. Wish it mattered more though!
15 seconds in and I was already convinced to buy it.

2022 and 2023 so far have been great for gamers…. I think we’ve got to experience 2 top 10 games all time in Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy…. Brilliant masterpieces of art
God of war and gow Ragnarok are amazing as well *** well God of war was 18 so doesn't count to this but ya gotta play both if ya play em anyways haha
Beside GOW Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West is criminally underrated.. but yeah those 4 games and then the remaster of Ghost and The last of Us makes 2022 and 2023 a huge W in gaming.. we also not even 3 months into the year..

This game looks so good. I’m not a Harry Potter fan, but I’m a passionate gamer. It ticks all the boxes for me! You referenced Halo Infinite. I also can’t wait to play this. I love the Halo franchise so much. I just wish there was more ongoing support for the Halo Infinite campaign. Multiple biomes, additional weapons, vehicles and enemies would make it such an incredible game.
With this kind of sewer trash optimization? Hell no. I got a Ryzen 7 5800x with a rx 6650xt, the recommended settings when I first launched the game were "Low", and yeah I think that was accurate because this game runs like garbage.
Magnificent game, tons and tons of stuff to find and interact with away from the main story. You can literally waste hours, days or weeks doing this. ❤

Starting your character off as a 5th year? It was probably necessary for the developers, but can you imagine if we played an entire 6 year timescale with our character?
It would still not work..... The magic of harry potter comes from all the things the game does amazing... getting sorted and learning about your house. Taking classes learning to fly. If you have to show this over multiple[le years it takes away the impact of it all. The reason they chose 5th years is because that is the point where your grown up enough to take on the world in dangerous situations but still young enough to need to attend classes and learn stuff. if your a 1st year your to young to basically "kill " people your like 12 years old. But if your a 7th year student then your basically and adult and no longer a child. So the magic of hogwarts only really works at that good middle ground. Probably why you cant make a sequel..... you cant recreate the excitement from doing things the "1st" time.
I hope they do remakes using the books as reference same like the old games
The broom riding is so addicting I wish they had a quidditch 😭😭 I smashed the one girl and smashed the race course after her and that's it no more broom stuffs for me to do I don't think
I'm hoping that they add quidditch in qm update later on !
Only complaint I have really is the jump mechanic is outdated to me but it's all good, would have been sick to have more of a forbidden west jump mechanic where you can still clamber things easier etc, basically the legacy jump feels like it's useless except for the designated ledge spots
Definitely agree! Sometimes I try and jump on a rock or over a fence and I end up having to go all way around!
I actually love the jump, it's grounded. In most games people seem to be able to jump inhumanly high and vault over everything

They're legit human beings, so they can jump human height.
If they cast a spell to make them jump higher that'd make sense in the world
I love this game so much, it gave me so much nostalgia overload, the visuals are phenomenal., graphically it is Red Dead 2 with the wizarding world, my only gripes are the lack of NPC interaction, you do see lots going on outside of yourself, but the personal interaction is so limited to the quest structures, and the fetch quests are overloaded, BUT the visuals do save you from the doldrums of fetch quests etc.
all in all, great video, you fully earned a subscription from me, look forward to checking out your other content.

Yeah no that's messed up. An insane amount of man hours and passion has went into this. There must be around 1000 different portraits minimum. Someone had to design every single one, paint every single one and animate every single one, for portraits alone. That'd have taken a whole team and years to do alone.
And they're a tiny aspect of the game.
Some games are ok to crack, but one with this much put into it? Hell nah.
Also nothing to brag about being too poor to buy a game
I’m not a boycotting idiot for starters…. But, after over 30 hours of playing it I am done with the game and haven’t finished it, about 3 missions til I’m done I think.
My reasoning, I picked the game up because I had high hopes and doubts it would let me down, it did sadly. Repetitive combat, missions, story was shallow, nothing in the world was threatening, the Merlin trials were ok but they are useless.
Felt like an Ubisoft Harry Potter that lacked more depth than Assassins creed itself. I HATE walking behind npcs in games, so boring. Who walks that slow? The lockpicking got boring and pointless. The reward system was ok but still pointless, I would’ve rather them just keep armor cosmetic only and have a more in depth leveling system. Like make spells stronger or upgrade your wand, then again nothing is really hard to take down
