Braking after the main straight in Portimao is my nemesis, I just recently got into bike games and SBK22 is one of the most difficult games I've ever played. I often find that the bike is handling completely different, especially when you go from time trials to career mode. Your videos helped me a lot but on 120% AI I can't get close to the top 10, braking is so weird and sometimes I can brake really late and other times I have to brake really early.
I reluctantly bought SBK and I think I like it more than GP22 and Ride 4, but man I’m rusty on racing games. It’s so much fun when you can have good races.
I actually found out like 1 hour before your video posted that timing the downshifts matters so much in this game. In motogp22, I used to just rapidly downshift as fast as possible to the gear I want for the corner and then let the rear brake do the work to slow the rear wheel down. Do that in SBK22 and you will literally be sliding until you reach a stop.
Also, its worth noting that braking modulation has a slight negative performance impact. It effectively does a type of input lag on the braking so that it doesn't peak so quickly when stabbing the brake, so you will always slow down slower than with braking modulation disabled. It is way more stable though.
Base on my experince with the game SBK 22 breaking is actually better than Motogp 21 even though it is using motogp 21 engine it's relying a lot on engine break, shifting and break temperature mostly I run the smallest rear brake disc because the heating time is quicker than the bigger one and more efficient for my style and if you are a quick downshifter I recommend trying to run the engine brake lower than 3 because it help with the stability and if you are like Toprak style then mode 4 is good but be careful with the input and watch out for those rear wheel lmao.
I think you’re right, I’ve been focusing on braking much harder and early with the steel brakes rather than the carbon brakes. Both are different games 🔥
I find the breaking ok it’s the transition when cornering I find too slow, ride 4 seems good at corner entry and rider speed moving around on the bike , I find moto gp 21/22 the rider is slow making cornering harder if you miss the apex 😢
Does moving forward reduce braking distance at the expense of stability or is it just me? I feel my braking distance is shorter if I move forward while braking after a long straight, of course it suicide when cornering while braking. like in the Caixa-Banc Sabadell corner sequence in Barcelona. It makes sense as there is more weight in the front wheel and thus more grip.
I just can't get used to it coming from motogp, I'm braking so early (both with ideal trajectory to give me an idea on distances and without) but its just not enough. I'm braking so much earlier than the ai and even then I still end up shooting through corners while they seem to have motogp brake distances, had to uninstall for my sanity and stick to motogp. Even in comparison to ride it just feels like I've got no brakes
I'm not great at racing games and race with a lot of rider aids. I'm so disappointed in this game because I really wanted a wsbk game but this game is just too unforgiving for unskilled players. There really needs to be a more arcade like physics option for this game for those who want it. I end up getting so frustrated that I've actually enjoyed it.
Why are there no players in the multiplayer Lobby? I picked this game up two months ago. And there's never not one multiplayer Lobby! Where are the multiplayer games someone please help me
Is it just me or is the Ai able to brake a lot later? I seem to have to hit the brakes a fair bit before Ai - makes riding in the pack impossible! You make the game look playable 😂
Try the larger brake disc mate, that could help you brake as late as the A.I 👍🏻 I think in some corners the A.I is just too strong and in some others they offer a good fight 😂
Long play into Ride 4 and comparing to SBK or motoGP it is much more easier. These guys should consider that we don't have any kind of bike controller so we can't have 100% the control of the bike. Game should be easier like Ride 4 or it gets so difficult that I just give up.
Hi . New to bike games . Great game but I'm struggling with the steering. It's so sensitive and I end up doing a slalom down the track. Playing on a ps4. Any help much appreciated. 🙏
Hi mate, it’s just requires a delicate touch. If you watch how I use the analogue stick it’s very gentle and controlled. Try doing that with slow movements mate. Can help a lot 🔥
@@DrAce46 thanks. I wasnt paying close attention. I have adopted your setting for rear brake. Am fairly new to bike games just a quick question. Are you supposed to use maximum steering lock when taking corners?
I'm good at motor bike game tt ride moto gp but this game is hard bikes don't handle and have to be so slow in to corners 😑 any good set ups on xbox ? Many thanks John representing_retro
@@DrAce46 thanks mate 👍 I've messed about with setting the games hard lol I play gp tt ride and this one's got me in a pickle lol thanks for the reply I'm slowly getting the times

Glad I can help mate, turn 1 into Portimao does take some serious practice to get right 👍🏻

Haha what a stroke of luck lol. Some guys in the server who don’t like the MotoGP games are loving SBK 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this. I have improved my braking so much because of this and can now actually keep up with my ai.
Glad it helped mate :D

Yeah mate the rapid downshift is not good for these bikes. It works such a charm in MotoGP though 😂🔥
Coming from Ride 4, holy smokes it's a night & day difference. I gotta throw down on some practice with this one!! Thanks for the tips Ace👍
My pleasure mate, give it some practice and you’ll get there 🔥

Awesome video! Just bought this for $2.99 on PS. Definitely worth every penny literally 😂

Ahh yeah I get you, you have to turn very early to combat that. When I go back to RIDE 4 I turn too early sometimes lol

I just want to have fun this is a pain in ass. I'll just ride real bikes
Thanks for making breaking easier
Happy to help mate!
I'm not saying it to brag, I'm saying it because for me it's true. SBK 22 is easier then motoGP 22. ALSO YOU HAVE A NEW SUBSCRIBER ❤
Thanks for the sub!

I unskip ads. because of Hafizh Syahrin
Can you make a tutorial on how to adjust the controller input calibration?
I’ve never changed the calibration in these games
Watching this after mastering extreme riding aids on motogp 23. This game braking is a little weird compared to motogp 23
It’s different due to the steel brakes. MotoGP 23’s carbon brakes are significantly stronger

That’s the way these games are nowadays mate. Takes a lot of practice to be competitive. Give it time 👍🏻👍🏻

RIDE 4 is meant to be the more accessible game. Milestone’s vision is to make the SBK and MotoGP games more sim related

I dont see any gear down shift input. Are you on semi auto?
I explained all of my button inputs at the beginning of the video R1 is down shift.
I’ve also listed the configuration in the description 👍🏻

Why you Press the R1 Button? :)
To downshift
Im fucking hopeless even with the auto braking 😂
Are you still braking too late? I don't think you need auto brakes, try moving to semi assisted
This game is great ngl, but the brakes ITS torturing me wtf
The brake can be tough, best way to learn is too brake much earlier than you think and use the rear brake 👍🏻
This game is so frustrating compared to Ride.
Yeah RIDE 4 is much easier, just takes a bit of getting used to mate. Be a bit more gentle on the brakes 👍🏻
this game has no brakes
rear brake does zero. stupid game
It’s not stupid, you’re just not braking early enough. Try changing your braking disc to a higher mass
