When we did craft shows years ago we would always greet people when they came in the booth and told them to ask if they had any questions. This let them know we had seen them (and weren’t ignoring them) but there wasn’t any pressure. If they hung around a while we would approach them and talk to them about the item they were looking at. I HATE high pressure sales.

Wonderful display. I love your handmade racks. Would you ever consider building/ painting one to look like a door? I think that would really pop and make people think, “ Oh! I have a front door. I need one of those.” 😊

The '"These are handmade" is excellent advice! I immediately thought that it would be great to make a layered sign that states just that. In a different format so it stands out from the rest. That way even those you don't personally speak or are just passing by would see it. I'm going to employ that in the future for my markets.

I love how you mentioned that you set your cash out area over to the side so there was no pressure or even eye contact. I have stopped shopping craft shows all together because I can't stand the high pressure. It's like walking into a car lot hoping that the salesman doesn't jump us before we get to look.

Really people selling crafts know why they are there. I have never been attacked by an over zealous craft salesperson. I've had plenty of folks excited about their work or quite frankly, bored. They're just people and I have often taken the discussion from complimenting to taking a few minutes to discuss the interest/inspiration and saying to have a great day. I wouldn't cheat yourself out of the experience over most likely a self-inflicted sort of compassion that we just have for others

I love craft shows yet will only buy if I fall in love with a product that I REALLY must own! However despite only browsing I will always engage with the stall holder and compliment their product.

So how much money did you make?? This was a great narration of your trip, but would've liked to have heard more about what sells well, what didn't, and ultimately how much do you typically make so a beginner contemplating this life can decide whether it's for them. I did appreciate the behind the scenes view though! 😊

The main thing we learned with being vendors is if the area isn't accessible by wheel chairs and strollers, money was lost. We lost a good amount the first year from having a big rug that made it hard for wheel chairs, strollers, even just people with walkers or canes to move around. Once we went to just 2 door mats, we had better luck

I'm late to game with my 2 cents, but here there are anyway.😉
At bigger craft shows, all I really expect or even want from a seller is a "hello", "hi", "how are ya?" type greeting. There's so much to look at, and stopping at each booth and being made to hear the backstory or sales pitch starts to make me weary, personally. I actually love your set-up of positioning yourselves in the corner so people can move about the booth without having to make chit-chat if they don't wish to do so. 🙂
I think having a few signs that say K&G's Handcrafted Signs would put that same information out there, without stopping everyone to tell the same thing over and over again. It's one thing to give out info about yourself and your products if asked, of course! But otherwise, I personally prefer when sellers let signage do the talking, and stick with letting the buyers indicate if they'd like to chat or learn more.

You should make and sell the peg boards, or pattern and instructions.

Maybe you can make some signs that are a different shape? Although they are all handcrafted and different they simehow look the same from a distance. Maybe even have a mirror as well somewhere? Seeing yourself in the mirror will grab your attention.!

Well i seen a price tag of 55.00 gow many did you sell that would help people to know if they can make money at something like this or not. I enjoyed watching your video and the signs are very nice I loved them but the ine thing i really wanted to know what how many you sold and how much you made seems like every time i see a video like this no one will say how much money they made and thats way everyone watch the video to see if they are able to do this for a living so money made is important... so give that some thought please and Thank for share your signs with us they are lovely

I really enjoyed your video but I'd like to know what your expenses and income are from this craft. You spent a lot of money on travel, not to mention display and product costs. I've done craft shows for a few years and it's a lot of work and I enjoy it but I could never come out monetarily with this kind of travel and expense. Thank you for sharing.
