"The first thing you should say is ""these are hand-made""- most valuable piece of information I think I heard in this video. The guy is right. I appreciate you sharing that.
So how much money did you make?? This was a great narration of your trip, but would've liked to have heard more about what sells well, what didn't, and ultimately how much do you typically make so a beginner contemplating this life can decide whether it's for them. I did appreciate the behind the scenes view though! 😊
Well since when do people ask how much money you make hopefully they wouldn't ask you what your salary is in a corporate world..Good for you. Did I miss what the supports are holding up the head board,..nice job
@@suzannemartin9323 If someone was specifically doing a video about making money in the corporate world, I would expect them to touch on how much "crazy money" actually is. Besides, this isn't the corporate world! It's an entrepreneur focused video supposedly providing info on the "crazy money" that can be made.
@suzannemartin9323 it's a dumb society rule we're brainwashed into believing to keep us in our caste system. People should ask salary more. If we're giving pieces of our life... which is precious and limited, we should know how much it's worth and if it's worth our time aka our life.
When we did craft shows years ago we would always greet people when they came in the booth and told them to ask if they had any questions. This let them know we had seen them (and weren’t ignoring them) but there wasn’t any pressure. If they hung around a while we would approach them and talk to them about the item they were looking at. I HATE high pressure sales.
Wonderful display. I love your handmade racks. Would you ever consider building/ painting one to look like a door? I think that would really pop and make people think, “ Oh! I have a front door. I need one of those.” 😊
I love how you mentioned that you set your cash out area over to the side so there was no pressure or even eye contact. I have stopped shopping craft shows all together because I can't stand the high pressure. It's like walking into a car lot hoping that the salesman doesn't jump us before we get to look.
Really people selling crafts know why they are there. I have never been attacked by an over zealous craft salesperson. I've had plenty of folks excited about their work or quite frankly, bored. They're just people and I have often taken the discussion from complimenting to taking a few minutes to discuss the interest/inspiration and saying to have a great day. I love craft shows yet will only buy if I fall in love with a product that I REALLY must own! However despite only browsing I will always engage with the stall holder and compliment their product.
my husband is a great salesman. I have a Glowforge and I make and sell earrings. He tells everyone that comes into our booth that the earrings are hand made by me. He is a big help because I am not as out going as he.

The '"These are handmade" is excellent advice! I immediately thought that it would be great to make a layered sign that states just that. In a different format so it stands out from the rest. That way even those you don't personally speak or are just passing by would see it. I'm going to employ that in the future for my markets.
The main thing we learned with being vendors is if the area isn't accessible by wheel chairs and strollers, money was lost. We lost a good amount the first year from having a big rug that made it hard for wheel chairs, strollers, even just people with walkers or canes to move around. Once we went to just 2 door mats, we had better luck

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm glad you and your hubby enjoy my videos. We tried selling display boards, but I had to change a laser to cut it and it took 3 hours to make 1.
