This exchange is more powerful than people realize! Wisdom is Divine while knowledge is worldly! The will always change for good or bad, while wisdom will always preserve and protect good! A knowledgeable person from a 100 years ago may no longer be relevant while a wise person from a 100 years ago is even more relevant!

@@kwimms you can present the same facts to 2 individuals and it can be interpreted differently! Said interpretation can be considered knowledge, wisdom, or both, depending on a multitude of things. Jesse does it all the time with his thought provoking questions aimed at seeing where modern minded people stand! It’s beautiful! You do not need knowledge to be wise tho, you’re confusing experience with knowledge!

My husband listens to me on the things I'm a bit of an expert on like fashion, nutrition, and travel planning.
On the big stuff like investing, home buying, etc., my husband makes the decisions, period. Those things require more of a 3D chess type skill, which I don't personally feel equipped to do.

This show is very interesting. There's nothing wrong with the "obey" part of marriage. It's there for one main reason: someone needs to be the leader; you don't have two leaders or you have a lack of unity. The husband is naturally the leader, and all a leader needs is those who follow him, which are not people of lesser worth, any more than the Knights of the Round Table were of lesser worth than King Arthur. Together they created Camelot (which would have lasted longer if some woman hadn't cheated on her wonderful husband, in all likelihood. Just saying)
True and both the man and woman must be mature, humble, wise, knowledgeable, and responsible within their relationship and abide in Christ to truly have a good family and home. Well said.

You are looking at it with a very narrow view of the subject, do you realize that? Why do you believe that a husband/wife relationship (with the obey part included) is "of no advantage to a woman or her daughters"? How about taking complete care of them for their entire lives, you find no advantage there?
You have been given the idea that such a relationship "devalues" women, which is the opposite of what it does. Women were more liberated when they didn't have to go out and get a job, by definition. You've been told that women were all oppressed and miserable in their marriages, mostly because the occasional woman who wants nothing to do with marriage or children was the one bitching, but instead of knocking marriage she should have just realized it wasn't for her, instead of convincing other women that it wasn't for any of them. We don't need "feminists" we need WOMEN. Who aren't all selfish, stuck on themselves, and know the endless value of what it is to be a unique half of a union we call marriage. No one can substitute for a wife and mother, and when she's not there, there is diminishment.
You say you will not take the man for who he is, but rather what he can do for YOU. And in this you are right to expect a return on your investment in the committed relationship.
Consider this: A traditional relationship, Christian marriage let's call it, describes a family consisting of a husband, who provides the home, everything in it, food, and everything they need for their comfort, and a wife, whose domain was the home itself, in which her husband found joy and comfort in return for providing it all for her, and the children were brought up not by strangers in a daycare but by their mother, and their father, who actually lived with them every day and was there to provide guidance and teach his boys how to be good men, because how do children know who is good partner for themselves, if they've never seen one growing up? The parents by their example teach the children. But now, we have taught them instead that nothing lasts, and daddy (if they even know him) may have other wives and other children besides them. As might their mother. What a way for a kid to have to grow up, spending alternate weeks with their own parents. What it does to them is unforgivable, because it is mostly due to selfishness and lack of planning.
Women never had to get jobs outside the home unless in dire necessity, because there is no job more important than creating this home, in the house provided by your husband, and raising your children yourselves. The woman is the glue that holds the family together, and when she abdicates her role, the family suffers. You see it all around you.
Women are not "pieces of property" that have to obey their husbands like mindless robots. At no time in history, among our culture, have women been just mindlessly disregarded or treated by men as having no right to anything or say in anything.
Men love women, and they really are much happier when their women are happy. It has always been this way, they are not monsters!
Wherever you went to school, or whoever you learned this ideology from, it's poison. They filled your head with crap, it's not your fault, but they have given you the wrong idea, and see how you have such an angry and resentful attitude about men! How will you ever be happy with a man if you think that way? It's lies you were told. There are morals and right and wrong for a reason: because people do better and are happier when they just do what is right, instead of what is wrong.

@@wendys390 there is some truth in what you say, but also a lot I dont agree with. Women did NOT have a say in anything (not that long ago) when women werent allowed to vote, rape was not registered by police, domestic violence neither.
Personally I felt lucky to raise my children full time, till they went to high school, while my husband worked. That was in a time that it was possible to live on 1 income. The wife HAS to work nowadays, if a family wants to survive in a declining economy.
The rule that women should obey men is one I will not accept. It should be an equal partnership with the goal to create a safe and happy environment for the entire family. Our kids have good nourishing partners and are florishing. I do believe in the family-nucleus, just not in the way that is stated.
@@nellisart462 As a woman who has been alive for awhile, you're well aware that a woman's influence on a man or men has never really been determined by what the law is. Women have always influenced what men do, and didn't need a law to grant it to them.
Another thing you should know because you've probably experienced it, is that when the two adults in the home each refuse to back down during a disagreement, there tends to be a lot of arguing, dissention, and when the power struggle gets too much, divorce.
Again, think about what if you had two Presidents. We don't have that. We have a President and a Vice President, because there is a hierarchy, and things do not run well without it. Someone has to be able to make the final decision, and that person should be the man, and that was what "obey" meant. It didn't mean you got ordered around like a slave. But women have gotten too arrogant and decided they will not accept that, and as a result, what do we have? A lot of broken relationships, because you cannot dance together if one of you refuses to follow the steps.

Paul made it very clear in the Bible. Women are not meant to be pastors, or leaders in the church. And the Bible is God's word.

Well, the story in religious beliefs is that God created Satan. Hopefully, that answers your question.
@@ARPorganicsGod created Lucifer with free will. He became Satan (the accuser) upon his choice to rebel against God. He was held higher than other angels, so yeah he got proud and thought he was better than even God. I’m sure He did reprimand Lucifer but he not only didn’t listen, but convinced other angels to follow him in that rebellion. You may say “Why didn’t God change his heart?” but free wi11 is about allowing others to have the choice even if the consequences are bad. Otherwise, is it really a choice if you were not made with the option? Can one call it love if they don’t have the option to choose?

If God is omnipotent he could have destroyed the devil a long time ago. But that would ruin the narrative between good and bad.
@@nellisart462 Not really. If God is the ultimate Good, evil would be *anything* opposed to Him. You would still have good and evil- hence why when someone says they want to be greater than that what is purely good, it would mean that they want to be the new good. And you can’t be better than perfect.
Now that we know of good and evil, the issue now is that if God just destroyed all evil, and changed us to accept it, what is “good” is no longer pure. It can then have something that is greater than it. Just as the devil wants.
If either point of God- be it out of display of love or justice- is shown to have a flaw, it is no longer of God. If God had came down to destroy all His enemies, then He is no longer loving for He created them solely to be His enemies. If God destroys all His people indiscriminately for their innate sin and starts over, He is no longer loving. If He simply forgives all those who wronged Him and they will do so again without sympathy for their actions, then He is not just as they will simply rebel against Him again. If He makes it that works will allow you salvation, then He is not just, as the rich can afford it but the poor will not.
Your idea of omnipotence is effectively what YOU would do. But then it begs the question, if you knew what you created would turn on you, why create it at all? Or better yet, why create it with the concept of an ability to choose if that is the case if there is no consequence for a “wrong” decision?

The Mother is the Nurturer and Teacher of Emotions, The Man or "Dad" is the sole provider and teacher of right and wrongs always being gentle but stern. What do they say, he is just like his Daddy, what do they say, She is a Daddy's girl.

When a woman loves the Lord and she wants to please Him she will show good character! Adam and Eve both became very comfortable and lax in what God expected of them. Let’s just face it woman have always been able to get what they want from men; and men get what they want from women! But those actions are not even close to what God expected. He still expects the same things today! But very few see it through! God punished all 3 of the players that day! Eve for listening to the Serpent; Adam for listening to Eve; and Satan for deceiving! All the punishment will last through eternity unless the man and Woman call upon Jesus Christ the one whom came to conquer the devil! In which He did completely! So much so, that when Satan finally figured out the actual victory Jesus had won, was the murder Satan himself arranged! Can you imagine the look on his face when he just found out that he had lost eternity! Not only that, but that he never even was close to winning at all🙂
