I’ve never participated in a no spend month but have to say I’m now inspired. I’ll speak with my husband first (he’s so frugal he puts me to shame so I’m sure he won’t mind, hahaha) but now you have my gears turning about using up what we have in our freezer and pantry and only purchasing needed produce. I like this idea!
So happy you'll be joining us!
Ohhh...toast that bread, butter it and serve it as beans on toast..yumm
That sunrise 😍😍😍
That bread looks amazing!
We're actually really excited for a no spend January. We did okay this past January but this time we also have a plan. Definetly going to make the cheese bread, yum! 💜🎄✌
So happy you'll be joining us Yvette!
My goodness, that bread looks delicious!
Y’all have the nicest video intros. Thank you for the beautiful scenery and lovely music. 🙂
Thanks so much
Thank you, Emmy. The bread looks delicious! 😃
Thanks for being here Rhonda!
Hi Emmy ! I’m a 31 year old SAHM. My husband and I are debt free and have to live on a tight budget, but also still live a very abundant, wonderful life ☺️ Both my mom and I love watching your videos ❤️ thank you and Paul so much for sharing ! My daughter’s name is also Emmy. 🥰
YAY!! Another Emmy! Thanks so very much for being here!
Beautiful intro! I'm in. Will make the bread.😊
Wowsers...just wowsers! The whole video is SOOOOOO good! I've been on a no spend year. I broke my own plan a few times to get things needed. (I'd usually look for what I already have to fill needs.) This year, I'm going to try to do better. I've had a really good income in the past and I saved a lot. One episode of a health challenge cost me a lot on medical and legal fees. Now, I'm low income. I'm content with what I have, though. The Lord supplies absolutely everything I can't provide for myself. I'm thankful.
I love listening to you! ❤
Jonna you are so very kind! A whole year of no spend! That's amazing!!
That bread looked amazing! 😍
Thank you 😋
Another great video! Loved both of the recipes. Thank you so much!
You are so welcome Kathryn!
For yogurt, bake with it.instead of oil,use yogurt.make cheesecake with yogurt.
Same with applesauce.or jams,jelly, preserves.bake with them.
Thanks Rochelle!
Another really motivational video ! The cheese bread looks amazing as does the cheese ! Stay safe !!
Thanks so much Melanie!

Isn't it!! Thank you!
This is a great way to start 2022. After all the excitement of Christmas January doesn't have much to offer other than resolutions I know won't last. Having this goal for the month is a positive motivator. Actually, it'll be fun. Now, that cheese bread will become the little surprise I will give for no reason other than I love you to friends. Looking forward to sharing the new year with you, Paul and Dixie.
Sandra, we are looking forward to 2022 with you all as well! Thank you!
This will be my first no spend January! Thanks for challenging us and walking beside us through this journey.
So happy you'll be joining us Jen!
It’s a great idea to have a few convenience food items available as they can come in handy when you can’t be bothered w/ cooking and would order take out or go out to eat otherwise. Yes yes yes on using the library. I love the library. It’s amazing how many cool things you can get there. The recipes you made look scrumptious!
Thank you Gretchen!
Love this one! That bread looks amazing too! Y’all have plenty of food to not get more ;) have fun in no spend Jan 🤩
Yes! Very true!!
You're just fabulous. Love your enthusiasm. So infectious 🥳🥳

Oh that sounds so yummy!
After a long day I was tempted to stop for fast food. But I remembered I had a bag of fish fillets in the freezer. Popped open a can of corn and I had a quick meal without spending any more money.
YAY!!! That is wonderful! Quick thinking!!
Wahw what a delicious looking bread, going to try this!
Hope you enjoy!
Those recipes look delicious
Glad you like them!
My favorite part of the video was how excited you got having a vintage red Pyrex bowl. I love it. You are such a delight.
Oh thank you! Big hug Dawn!
I am joining in the no spend January. The main thing I am doing to prepare is inventory fridge, freezer and pantry to know exactly what we have and meal plan. Thanks for all the inspiration.
So happy you'll be joining us Chris!
Cheese bread will be perfect over the holidays-a winner! Love the red Pyrex bowl-beautiful! I did your low-spend with you last Jan.and I saved so much. Looking forward to saving with you again. TY for the intro segment! 🎄🎄😊
So happy you'll be joining us Deborah!
You're an inspiration ☺️ one of the things I'm doing for no spend January is eating down my store cupboard and freezer foods. I'll be making porridge for breakfast which is healthy and economical with nice fruit or nut toppings. Also, I've set my budget already for January.
Love your recipes today and will certainly be making the cheese bread.
Thanks a million for your tips and wonderful uplifting videos xx
You are so welcome Helen! Thank you for being here!
Already planned my no spend January,$20.00 grocery budget and we are excited 😆
WOW! $20! Good for you! That's amazing!
Going to do the yogurt cheese. Great idea. The cheese bread looks super.

The bread looks really good. I'm going to try to make it.
It's really yummy and pretty easy too!
Great video thank you . I do a no spend January but call it skint January as I do no spend days throughout the year .

HI Emmy and Paul! I don't know how you could wait to eat that bread.. I was ready to get some butter out and eat it while it was warm! It looks so good! Another recipe of yours I'm going to try!
I'm getting ready for a no spend Jan!! Last year I made it through half the month. This year I am determined to do the whole month!
YAY!! So happy you'll be joining us Tammy!
More no Spend Jan videos please!! I'm joining you next month!
Oh yes! They are coming!
Thank you for this great video! You always motivate me to see how far I can stretch my food. I plan to clean my fridge and freezer really well and do a good inventory before the first of the year so we can be as frugal as possible in January.. One of the things you do that has been so helpful is when you have a few random ingredients google ideas to make out of them!
Blessings, joy and love to you and your family!! 😍(love the red Pyrex!! 👏👏❤️)
You are so welcome! More of those videos to come!
With that white frosting you could make fudge....
I have already been looking forward to a no spend January so I am already well stocked in our pantry and freezers. I love the challenge of it and look forward to see just how much we end up saving! Now I just have to make my list of expenditures other than our normal bills such as a few upcoming January birthdays that we will include into our budget for that month. It really helps to have you and others doing the same thing to keep me motivated and on track 😁 Thanks! See you Friday 😊
Sounds great! So happy you'll be joining us!
Looking forward to Jan... you always have the best ideas... thanks to you both... I just turned 60 on the 12th and my goal all year was to get debt free, and I have done that.. and I have a lot of savings to go towards my trip that has been on hold since fall last year. Onward we go... 💜
That is awesome! Happy belated birthday Dawn! Hope it was wonderful!!
We are definitely doing a no spend January.
We will eat from our frig, freezer and pantry.

You have the most beautiful sunrises/sunsets. It looks like your house is up high so you have a great vantage point to see them.
Yes, we are up on the side of a mountain!
A great video! Definitely making the bread. I have some things I have to spend money on in January like my Mother’s 100 birthday so I’ll do no spend February instead. Watching your videos for a long time has gradually given me a different mind set in being more frugal and intentional with my purchases. Thank you. Blessings to you , Paul and your son🎄
Bette a very blessed and happy birthday to your mom!!!

Oh Kim you are so kind, thank you!
I want to do a no spend January too. I need to put my plan together. My freezer is full of meats, but I need to menu plan. Love your channel and all your great ideas, and of course Paul & Dixie too! :)
So happy you'll be joining us Maegan!
The opening was so beautiful...Yes, I'm in for the no-spend January. I enjoyed the challenge last year and it's a great way to remind yourself to really pause and consider is it a "necessity" or a "want"? Thank you for the recipe...I'll be making this for my son!
So happy you'll be joining us!!
I have a little toy shopping cart my grandpa made - he was a WW2 veteran and a welder - and I use it for storing potatoes. I learned how to can this year and have put up a few hundred jars of food for my family of 6. I plan to do very little if any grocery shopping January and February.
Oh how wonderful! Good for you!
Very grateful for the cheese and bread recipe I recently got some delicious yoghurt which would turn lovely as a soft cheese and my yeast breads just never turn out properly so really happy to have an alternative. We use a lot of bread but the bread we like has already increased in price so this will be perfect for December and January and to freeze a few
So glad the video was helpful!
Hi Emmy and Paul. Loved both those recipes. Hubby eats alot of yogurt so I really like that idea - very healthy. Cheese bread looks good to make on a cold, snowy day for an extra special treat. Enjoy your week.
You too Karen! Thank you!
I'm ready for no spend January. I have spent way too much the last couple of months. I'm excited about doing the no spend January.
So happy you'll be joining us Sherri!
Have now made this twice in two days!!! SO GOOD with soup/stew! Had left overs toasted with butter with our eggs for breakfast this morning! I texted the recipe to my three daughters this evening! 😊
YAY!! So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you!
I made your cheesy bread, increased the recipe to 1.5 of everything and baked in 9x13 pan, delicious, thank you!😊❤️
OH YAY! So glad you enjoyed it!
Just made loaf of bread and it is YUMMY !!!
YAY! So glad it was good!
Hello! New subscriber from England, glad to be here & joining you both for my first “no spend January”. 😀
Awesome! Thank you! So glad you found us!!
I like how you suggested to keep some ready meals in the freezer for emergency or lazy days. Also, the frozen veggies and fruits help to lengthen time in between grocery shopping, saving time and gas.
So true Helen!
You have a great stockpile Emmy! I've been very diligent with trying to have zero food waste! My freezers/pantry is stocked too!
That's great Gabrielle!
I just made homemade sour cream with yogurt and whipping cream. So good. I’m going to try the cheese now.
Oh that sounds great!
I'll be joining you for no spend January. I'm pretty well stocked.. all bought on sale.👍
So happy you'll be joining us Pat!
Emmy, I've been making cheese from marked down yogurt for years. It's delicious on bagels with some cracked black pepper and any other seasonings of choice. A big YES to no-spend January! Be well!
Oh that's sounds great!
I’m doing my pantry, fridge and freezer inventory this week and had planned to do shelf-cooking from now to the end of January. I will include all non-essential purchases to that for a no-spend January. I have all the ingredients for the cheese bread and hope to make that this week as it looks and sounds delicious! Not sure if I have any Greek yogurt but I locate some in the fridge, I’ll do that one too! Thanks as always for sharing your recipes!! Happy holidays!
Good for you! We can do this!
I don't have a dishwasher which makes it harder to get greasy dishes and pots and pans as clean as I like. So in January I'm going to cook my old standby, slow cooker beans, and other no oil slow cooker recipes. This will save lots of clean up time in the kitchen so I can get to some projects that involve my sowing machine. Have a wonderful New Year.
Thank you! Wonderful New Year to you as well M M!
I am here for the no spend Jan. This will be my very first challenge. I'm so excited bcuz this will test my self discipline and consistency. I am only cooking from my pantry n freezer. Let's go ! See you guys in Feb. Thanks for the great ideas.
So happy you will be joining us Lauretta!
May have to skip to February to do the No Spend month. My son in law is treating us to a nice vacation!
Oh how wonderful!! Love that!
I love that you mention keeping a list of things to do that you can pull out and refer to when boredom sets in. I used to do this and need to start doing it again! Thanks for the helpful reminder!
So glad the video was helpful Allison!
I'm a quilter and every January I make a list of ufo's (unfinished objects) and see how many I can get done. I make a vow not to buy any fabric and use what I have. Lots are from the free table at the quilting clubs. Also no new projects.
Thank you for being so *realistic*! I think it's easy for diehard frugalistas to just say "do it" but I really appreciate that you're giving us all the hints and cheats to actually make it successful. :)
Hope they help! Thank you!
That bread looks so delicious Emmy!
I shall make some tomorrow!
It looks like we shall be home most of the time here in the UK as the virus is spreading again! We have new restrictions and I feel safer staying in!
I have plenty of books I bought at the thrift store and I can try some more of your recipes!
Hope you are staying warm and well!
Sheila
Let me know how you like it!
I'm in on the no-spend January! I really need to do it until this summer! My pantry and freezer is FULL! Time to rotate it out!
YAY! So happy you'll be with us!
