This is an exceptional video. In a short time it achieves both depth and breadth. There is a clarity here that I have not encountered in other introductions.
Siddhartha not only was seeking to end human suffering. He was seeking to end All suffering of All living beings, animals and humans equally much. The Buddha Made A Video
Most interesting. I hope when all the madness in the Islamic world dies down it will be possible to restore the great statues of the Buddha which were destroyed in Afghanistan.
Rebekah Willey have you looked for Palmyra in Syria lately... Bet you can't find Jonas tomb anywhere...read any statements by radical islamists lately....????
Surprising no reference to Greek influence on early Buddhist art. Hard to believe Afghanistan was once a Greek-speaking country visited by Buddhist missionaries.
It's interesting that there are so many parallels between Catholicism and Buddhism. I don't consider Islam worthy of respect, but i can respect muslims in compassion....

Hide every beautiful object of art from Islamists - they hate beauty, joy and light
It's very sad. I hope the statues of Buddha which were destroyed in Afghanistan can be restored when this madness ends.
That is an extremely ignorant statement.
