Ugh guys I’m so annoyed right now. I did this video before Amber testified and I did it differently than she said she did hers! I would try again but I’m almost all healed up. That’s my luck 🤦♀️
you did it just right! imagine doing your make up normally, with concealer first, and then you put a green thing on it later. We wouldn't see your bruise because you'd be with a green thing on your face. It wouldn't make any sense. Amber just doesn't know how to cover bruises, since she described exactly what one should do to make a fake bruise with a bruise kit (it would be in the order she said she does)
glad you're healing up, honestly interesting to see somebody with actual injuries making this effort. As somebody who's been around theatre (I was more lights and sound but I was also in close enough proximity to costumes and makeup) I can tell you a couple things that might be different. The color wheel that was shown looks suspiciously like a ben nye "bruise kit" (in the movie/theatre world a bruise kit is a wheel designed to _make_ bruises) so it's a little bit odd to try and cover up with a kit like that, however foundation and makeup in general for theatrical uses is much thicker almost completely covering the underlying skin colors, foundation on its own could easily cover a bruise about as well as this kit.. with the side effect that you can clearly tell her face is plastered in makeup, looks great from far away and even "normal" distances on camera it can look passable, but close ups and face to face would be obvious she's covered in unrealistic makeup... and the bruise would STILL peek through so obviously a color correction could possibly do it a bit better. However the fact that she would color correct AFTER putting on makeup kind of proves how few times she's actually tried covering bruises, just like how you did a little before and a little after she wouldn't really have a "plan" on how to attack bruises because each bruise is different. Thank you for putting makeup on a bruise to illustrate how difficult it is to completely remove any evidence of a bruise, I do hope you washed it off pretty quickly enough to where you didn't get any kind of complication with the bruise, makeup is really hard on healing skin (another point in why it's unlikely that she did this at all).
Imagine putting those bright colors ON TOP of foundation and concealer! It would slide around. I don't know who she was trying to convince but the color corrector does NOT go on top of makeup.
Ok I thought so but I’m definitely not a professional so I’m glad to hear someone else has the same thoughts I did. I thought if I put on top of everything it would look more pigmented and not natural
She never covered up her bruises. She created them. Here's a video of her on the stand accidentally telling on herself and then quickly trying to cover it up!!! Listen very carefully to wht she says right away. I hope Karma gets her good bcuz she's a horrible person and I'm nt saying Johnny is perfect bt he did NT deserve all the bogus shyt she did to him 😤 ua-cam.com/video/myGDjhslFaw/v-deo.html
From opening statements by her lawyer, I thought that is what AH or some expert was going to do. Didn’t they use “demonstrate” somewhere? I guess I expected too much 😆
They would have to find someone with actual fresh bruises in almost the exact same places Amber did & that aren't healed in-order to recreate it. That's way more trouble than it's worth especially since everything is based around crucial timing.
yeah, let'S have her demonstrate.... wait that would mean someone would have to punch her, so that she had a bruise... or maybe she could just paint one on like the time when she filed for the restriction order and then cover it up .. haha!! I know... bad joke. I obviously don't wish her to be physically harmed, to be clear.
I’m a survivor of a very violent marriage and I was always trying to cover bruises, cuts and swelling on my face… I was never able to cover any of it. I am horrified that she even went there in her testimony.
Her testimony is based on what she learned in Hollywood and no real world applications. She is a liar, a fraud and a horrible actress. She also submitted edited photos to the court. She should be in jail right now. Can't believe she got away with perjury.
Yeah true and the icing on the cake of lies is that split lip and wide mouth she made...no way is that possible. I once fell and cut my lip a little bit I had difficulty eating leave alone put lipstick and then open your mouth wide like that ...and which person will go to a show all chirpy and whatever shes not even a good actress...you'd be sore and depressed and cancel or delay the show
The swelling and continued discoloration are telling. I’ve been around someone who was hit by a domestic partner and no amount of makeup covered up the facts. Took weeks before the bruising completely healed. Ice doesn’t magically make swelling go away forever either . Thanks for showing the truth.
@@spiritmatter1553 but Amber never said she used heat along with ice so there is no point in what you've said. She said "ice" alone will not take down the swelling completely.
@@spiritmatter1553 maybe...but it can't fix the kind of damage that she claimed he inflicted. That's the point here! She claimed he gave her black eyes...broke her nose...those things cannot be healed overnight, or even within 72 hours, no matter what your treatment methods may be! And I'm speaking as a woman who's had a couple black eyes. They can take over a month to properly heal...the whole area is inflamed and angry for at least a week, no makeup in the world can cover a real black eye. that's why ACTUAL abuse victims wear sunglasses all the time.
Amber said she used arnica cream to expedite the healing process regarding the swelling and bruising lol. It must've worked like a disappearing magic trick then! Ta-daah...now you see the bruise, now you dont! 🤗🤡
I went to beauty school. There are ways to lessen the appearance of bruises. There are ways to totally cover them if they’re on hands, arms, legs or feet, etc. but there is NO WAY to completely cover a bruise on your face. It just isn’t possible and the pain would be far too much anyway. I can handle a ridiculous amount of pain. I could not handle repeatedly applying layers onto a black eye or broken nose. Sorry… not happening. And like you can see in this video, you cannot get rid of those remaining swollen bags that last for quite a few days, no matter what age or health status you are. And it also doesn’t matter how expensive your makeup is! Thank you for sharing this. I really don’t know how anyone who wears makeup or has lived through DV could believe a single thing AH has said.
Some people are abuse apologists and really just believe someone regardless of obvious Gaslighting 🙄 some people are abusive women who probably also claim abuse from their exes and refuse to see their role in the abuse that played out.
@@elizabethrose49091 I'm sorry, wtf did you just say? Did you just say people who are physically abused most likely deserve it?? You are sick. And I think we can all figure out what role you've played in relationships
Is it possible to use those thick foundations like dermacool and then a thick concealer to cover it? I don't believe AH at all beltw. Just want to know, since I've seen foundations that claim to cover even tattoos.
I was hit with a soft ball in high school and it broke my nose. I tried EVERYTHING to cover it to go to school and let me tell you. You can make it look less shocking but if truly injured there is nothing to completely hide it. And ice for swelling! I literally slept with ice on my face and was still swollen for days. Almost a week.
Yeh its so evidently a lie, especially when she describes just how much he supposedly beat her up and with rings on, she must have forgot that during this time she was in the public eye a lot with zero signs of injury
My girlfriend, before I met her, gave herself a black eye when she was very drunk one night. She was laughing at Amber's description of how she covered the black eye. She also said it's not going to completely hide the discoloration, and DEFINITELY won't cover the swelling.
@@internetexplorer6304 apparently, she was quite drunk and ran into the corner of the bar haha. This is the very short version of the story I've been told, at least.
@@hermitabby agreed. I started relating my initial comment and was yeeeaahhh I should probably add that this was before I met her. Given the context and all. Haha.
I was a makeup artist a few years ago and bruises and tattoos are so hard for us to even cover. It takes a lot of patience and it will always end up looking cakey on the skin. In Heards photos, she looked pretty dewy and natural. I don’t know how someone can manage to have full coverage AND dewy looking skin with bruises on them.
Same, I worked at MAC back in the day and people would come in to have their hickies (LOL), tattoos, and bruising after cosmetic procedures covered up and it is not easy. You HAVE to apply full coverage foundation in order to blend it all after. You can’t just cover the discoloration and it magically disappears. Amber just thinks we’re all stupid.
Amber said in her testimony on the stand that she’d cover bruises with makeup in this order: foundation, concealer, then her "bruise kit." Anybody who wears makeup knows she’s lying right off the bat because a "bruise kit" is makeup that can create bruises and you’re supposed to colour correct before any foundation or concealer goes on top to cover bruises. Then again, bruises to start are pretty hard to cover. Any puffiness or swelling doesn’t get covered, and ice only reduces swelling a little.
She actually told on her self when she said she had a bruise kit and played it off by back tracking her words while giving her tutorial. She actually had a bruise kit that was used to put the bruises on herself. It's a theatrical makeup pallet.
One would think that a true professional theatrical makeup palate would consist of products that go on very thick and heavy to completely change the color of anything.
Lol… I tried to cover bruises with foundation, concealer, kit, even tattoo cover foundation… nothing works perfectly, you still can see pretty well the bruises…
@@petitcoquelicotdeschamps4473 even if you finally did cover them up, it would look cakey AF. Plus any swelling/puffiness would still be visible. Amber’s complexion in all of her photos looks very natural and dewy, no swelling/puffiness.
the pictures of her with her mouth wide open at the James cordon show the day after, like the passport pics are telling. nobody with a split lip would ever stretch thier mouth that far knowing you'd split it open again
Broken nose more likely she's just had surgery on her hooter , her make up artist helped her with her make believe bruises and cut lip . Saw her flicking through reel of film to see which picture she wants to use .as for her crying ,actors cry on cue .
Having been in a domestic abusive relationship, I am so mad that Amber is running these lies. Thank you for showing step by step how this doesn’t work, and how in real life it’s a very difficult job to cover bruises, particularly to the face. Thank you ☺️ 🙏
Absolutely looks that way. And hiding a split lip would be so much harder. No matter how much lipstick you put on. Yet she says Johnny for people to lie for her 😱
@Mrs. Sanchez I think it was very telling she called it her "bruise kit" instead of something more like "bruise cover up kit". Flashes of honesty that contradict her story.
I can't even cover my pimples properly. Color can be matched to skin but exactly swelling can't be covered. Ice doesn't reduce bruise swelling that effectively. Plain lier.
@@ewbrainwormies ice has NEVER worked with me. Let alone effectively. But I do know it has worked a bit on some people. Helps eases things but again never seen swelling reducing.
No, I think you conclusively proved you can’t cover a bruise like that, especially on photos. The beating she describes would have left devastating damage. You can’t hide it.
Not to mention the swelling would b noticed no mater what. What she showed (well we know now was not the actual photo) look more like some kind healing from injection. We honestly will never now.
For real though I was just thinking that! They really should’ve had somebody with a bruise come in and told Amber to use her amazing skills of make up to cover it up for them lol!
Finally someone pointing out that makeup isn't a magic eraser. I've been waiting for them to have a makeup artist on the stand but everyone is just assuming "makeup can cover anything". Not in real life it can't!
I'm a victim of DV. I've had a broken nose that included eyes almost swollen shut, both eyes black/multi colored and I couldn't breath thru my nose for a week+... it wasn't pretty and there was nothing that would've covered it all. Thank God he wasn't wearing rings on every finger. AH isn't believable.
The thing to remember when you punch some one when you have rings on every finger, is your fingers are going to swell up really quickly. So you need to take those rings off right away or else you lose circulation and your fingers will need to be amputated. Be patient before putting those rings back on, it will take a few days for the swelling to go down. I am sure there are pictures of JD's hands after his fights with Amber where his rings are missing, aren't there?
The order AH stated was 1. moisturizer with a tint 2. foundation with sunscreen 3. Concealer Then colors to cover bruises 🤔😒. I believe anyone wearing makeup knows that's not the correct order...
Case closed for me! This sums it up. Even if she wanted to hide bruises, she should have thought of investing in something like Dermablend body makeup or like an actual tattoo cover-up. That would make way more sense. Those things can be expensive, but it's not like she couldn't afford it. Shows how dumb she is in that regard. And like Milani is her go-to. Right. She was lying about that maybe subconsciously trying to make Milani go down since she's contracted with L'Oreal. Hopefully, L'Oreal fires her. I like L'Oreal and Milani, but I certainly don't want to see her advertising L'Oreal. k, rant over 😆
@@OpalMoonstone247 Agree 💯. Have you seen the plastic surgeons evaluation of what work AH probably had and when? He does it with a bunch of people. ua-cam.com/video/8ZFNmbKnaQA/v-deo.html
You did a great job on this. I’ve been a makeup artist for years and it was so maddening watching Amber explain how she covered her bruises with her “bruise kit”. I wanted to yell at my screen and call out everything she was lying about! In case anybody is interested, you do not counteract a purple bruise with red like Amber said. Did you notice how the bruise on your knee got darker when the red was added? You would counteract a purple bruise with yellow (like you did on your face) and to correct redness you would use green. You go across the color wheel to counteract a color and purple and red are next to each other, so that’s obviously wrong. I love how she speaks like she’s a makeup expert. 😆 Also, you were right to do the color correction first on a fresh face. The idea is to create a blank canvas to build your foundation, concealer and the rest of your makeup upon. She said to do the steps in the opposite order, so there’s another obvious lie. I would say that she has most likely had special fx makeup applied to her face and in that circumstance you would apply the bruising on top of the foundation and concealer and then powder to set it all. But she’s not smart enough to know that creating bruises and concealing bruises would be mirror opposites in the application process. 🙄 You could’ve gotten more coverage over the bruise by building layers with a thicker foundation and concealer but even still it’s pretty darn hard to completely cover a dark bruise as you found out. It is possible though. But there’s no way to completely cover an abrasion by applying a thick amount of make up, and by abrasion I mean cuts, scrapes, burns or dry peeling skin and obviously like you said, the make up doesn’t address swelling. And ultimately a lot of thick makeup does end up looking cakey. When you look at Amber on the James Corden show, you can see that she is a young person whose lifestyle has not yet caught up with her very well kept, very clear skin, which does not require much make up to look amazing. It’s just so obviously lies on top of lies. Anyway, great video! 💄💋
Thank you ! And thank you so much for your comment it was super interesting to read. I love makeup (not very good at it but it doesn’t stop me lol). So I’m always trying to find good tips and tricks so I can get better. As far as amber. I think you are spot on. I hate that someone feels the need to go to such lengths to gain attention or sympathy. I kind of feel bad for her. She’s a mess.
@@rachaelann6654 I think you’re doing just fine. 😉 Makeup artistry is a skill just like any other. The more we practice, the better we get. I loved that you did your makeup outside. That was fun to watch and a really great idea. Good way to see what your makeup really looks like. Yeah I get what you mean as far as feeling bad for Amber. She’s definitely very screwed up which make me have sympathy for her, but it’s the fact that she purposefully and knowingly has tried to ruin somebody else’s life that I just can’t get past. Anyway keep up the good work! You’re gonna be a pro before you even know it!! 😊
See.. that's it...she said the procedure of applying makeup the way she does.. creating bruises..she is not trying to conceal the bruises.. but she is creating the fake bruise. So the way explained is right..except she forgot that was not how it was done..n she had to say the opposite
Yeah she’s a damn liar. There’s no way the jury isn’t seeing it. Oh and always apply your foundation directly to your face. Applying it to your blender is wasting product! The blender sponge soaks up the product! She told on herself when she said “bruise kit” on the stand.
Freudian slip: bruise kit. Too bad the jury can’t see this. Thanks. Guys don’t know about this stuff. But actors would know watching how make up is up is put on. Especially JD.
And this was a BOX! Amber’s “bruise” looks like irritated skin, it’s smaller, and she claims he pummeled her face with rings. Absolute bs, thank you for providing some comparison of what a real bruise looks like 👍🏽
My best friend was tussling with another friend of ours and she accidentally hit him in the forehead while wearing one small ring, over 10 years later and he still has the scar. I can't understand how Amber made those allegations and turned in the pictures she did and tried to convince everyone that was the face that got beat up by a man with a hand full of rings. This case blows my mind.
I was in a abusive relationship for years, abused in every way imaginable, there were times were I wouldn’t leave the house for weeks, because of the bruises, swelling and scans and cuts… that was also with out rings… she pisses me off to no end it’s not a joke it’s not something to lie about…
I can make a fake bruise in about 2 mins that looks very very real but I can't even cover the bags under my eyes without some serious work and alot of product and you can tell I used alot too. Idk who amber thinks she's fooling. She couldn't even cover that scar on her forehead let alone a black eye and broken nose
Even the step by step order is OBVIOUSLY PROVING that she was CREATING bruises, not HIDING them. People who have real discoloration on their face (like those who have PCOS) KNOW that they put the color correction FIRST and then, foundation etc.... because we want the foundation / smooth appearance to be last and stand out But yeah, if u wanna CREATE a bruise, obviously, you want it to stand out, so u use the "bruise kit", i mean, the color correction LAST. You conceal the real complexion behind the "bruises" If she doesnt even "KNOW" how to cover bruises... that PROVES she never HAD TO... meaning, that alleged DV never happened. Phhewwww
This is the FIRST THING I thought as soon as she said it. I mean I've never had to conceal bruises but I have had my fair share of pimples, never would put foundation first .
Thank you for explaining. As someone who is an amateur in makeup and doesn't wear it anymore I didn't catch that and was even confused at the green, yellow makeup colors. I hope someone from the jury who knows about makeup catched her slip up.
There’s no way I could carry on with that interview the way she did with a “broken nose”. I’m a trauma nurse, the swelling would still be there especially with all of her smiling and laughing causing irritation pain and swelling.
I had sinus surgery a week ago and still feel horrible. Amber lies so much I don't think she'd know truth if it hit her in the face. I've seen people with dark circles that cover them completely.
Yes! Also your nose is stuffy and there is leakage for a few days following. Your whole face gets swollen and black and blue. U can't breath through your nose so u can't eat or drink and u would talk like u have a cold from the stuffy nose. It is extremely painful too so any facial movements hurt bad! I can not believe she lied like that! I experienced dv and child abuse and its nothing to joke about, her lying and using stories that really happened to people is disgusting. She made a mockery of real survivors, she is a disgrace.
Exactly....not only a broken nose, black eyes but a busted lip also...she's on there laughing her ass off and opening her mouth as wide as she could 🤦♀️🤦♀️ but she did say she's special and doesn't show injury or swelling like normal people do 😑😑😑 idk why they let this charade go on this long
Take it from someone who’s got alotta experience with bruising, what you demonstrated was accurate. You can’t cover a facial bruise enough to hide it. I rode race horses for years and had the broken nose (twice) and other facial injuries to show for it. Great demonstration 👍
Yes, let's all take the the word of a complete stranger bc people will believe anything on the internet... Only if you're agreeing with them, of course.
Yes you can. Check out the UFC fighter covered in facial bruises covered in make up and you see nothing. Professional full coverage covers tattoos remember
I still think if she’d broken her nose, she’d have to go to hospital and have it reset a No wear a dressing for some time. She had no deviation on her nose at all.
Covering up a dark bruise is pretty tough. I think a makeup artist could do it but it would take a lot of shading and time to do it. The swelling is part of what makes a bruise so obvious. Now that the Depp-Heard defamation case testimony is over it is pretty clear that a lot of the "bruising" on Amber Heard was faked. Depp wears heavy rings. If Depp hit Amber Heard in the face he would have made mincemeat of her skin. I think that adding a bruise through the use of makeup and fooling with camera electronic filters to make the skin look redder in a photo is a lot easier than covering a dark bruise.
OMG! Thank you for stating that Amber's face would be mincemeat after her claims of being hit repeatedly in the face by someone wearing huge heavy rings. Not only would it look worse than mincemeat. She'd looked like she'd been beaten with brass knuckles or pistol whipped. Both of which I've seen. You wouldn't want to go ANYWHERE in public, red carpets, picture taking. None of it. Better get to an ER, asap. I was like "bish you lying". Smh
As a black woman it is very interesting to see how a bruise and black eyes look on a white skin. Thank you for your help and I hope you will recover from those! 👍🏿
I'm fair skinned and I can say without a doubt, there's no way she covered any of that. I bruise myself by accident not realizing till someone asks me about it so if he was pounding her face/body as she claims, she'd have some crazy marks.
Well notice in the video the bruise is an ACTUAL BRUISE, black and blue.. ambers "bruises" in the pictures where more like red splotches. Like either she created them with make up or waited for them to be mostly healed to take pictures which .. makes no sense.
Yeah, I had a nasty black eye after I fell while working out years back, and no matter what, I couldn't cover it. If she was beaten as badly as she claims, there's no way.
Yeah and with a broken nose, but she still looked like she got a nose job on the photos of the day afther, yeah.... It couldn't be more non believable if she tried
Pretty sure she wouldn't even be alive if she had been beaten as badly as she said. Smashed back of head against brick wall then later that day/night was punched dozens of times in that same spot? lol
My aunt accidentally hit herself in the eye with an object once and the bruise was there for WEEKS. She literally had to tell people the story constantly so they wouldn't think she got hit. Imagine being punched repeatedly by a strong man with giant rings on his fingers... that's not just bruises. That's cuts as well. Impossible to hide.
@@thespankmyfrank Oh, gosh, I had to tell people my story about falling because of the glares given to my husband (then fiancee), who wouldn't hurt a fly. Even with all the makeup, a bruise and swelling cannot be hidden, and AH was disgusting to even try that excuse.
"I definitely can't cover up swelling." Honey, did you try ice? Amber said it fixes it completely. 😆 Jokes aside, thank you for this and I hope you feel better!!
There’s no way she covered up 2 blk eyes and went onto a tv show! She’s straight up lying. Thank you so much for doing this. And I’m so sorry about your fall. ❤️❤️
I agree AH is lying It would be impossible to cover two black eyes and a swollen nose You would never be able to hide the swelling even with ice, in that time frame. When I broke my nose i couldn’t touch my nose let alone put ice on it or apply make up. Even the act of smiling would make my eyes water from the pain of my broken nose
Not only did she supposedly cover the bruising the day after getting her injuries, but she did it so flawelesly that it looked like she had no makeup on, which seems impossible, because you have to apply so many products to cover them
I wanna know who covered the alleged bruise on her back after he dug his knee into it. Wouldn’t it just be easier to… I dunno.. not wear a backless gown?????
Gut feeling is that Amber wanted to Johnny’s attention for her back because of his romantic story of how he fell for Vanessa Paradis. It was her back that caught his attention.

I got into a brawl inadvertently trying to stop someone from hitting a woman…and obtained a black eye that was impossible to cover for almost two weeks…I didn’t believe her pictures or stories…if you were truly hit by a fist to the nose or eye area, the bruise would be much more significant than what she’s alleged in pictures
yep I took one punch to the nose once and it blacked both my eyes eyes not only that but broke blood vessels in my eyeball and I had dark dark purple bruising for a least 2 weeks edit: That 1 punch was from a female with no rings so if a man with big ass rings punches you in the nose your shit's gonna be broken foresure you will not be on the red carpet the night after that's a guarantee
It looked to me like Amber painted on her eye bruises, and make believe broken nose. And she did a really bad job. That’s why no one saw anything the next day! No one saw it except her friends. That’s funny isn’t it? Her make up artist, four police, one police woman was s DV expert, the front desk people, no one saw any injuries on Amber except her best friends.
Great job! I didn't even need to see this since as a fighter, Amber's stories about how she got her injuries & the types of injuries she described made no logical sense in the first place. I mean she literally described her head bouncing off a brick wall a some point yet somehow her face wasn't somehow torn to shreds due to the sandpaper texture of brick?
I've had black eyes before and no amount of make up could hide it. You can improve it quite a bit, but it's still always obvious there is bruising. Anyone coming up nearby, would definitely still see the bruises. Amber's face, by comparison is perfectly white and clear, on the days after she claims to have been hit and bruised. She's virtually lied about everything, except for her name.
Girl I wish Johnny’s team did a similar demonstration in the court or even mention the pain! Nobody even UA-camrs didn’t pay attention to the pain ! Great job!
_Stylist, Makeup Artist & Cosmetic Science Educator here:_ There is no way the Milani pallette, nor any color correcting palette of a similar level of coverage and pigment concentration would cover up bruising like that. It color corrects, that is all, it neutralizes. A bruise is darker than the skin, so even with neutralizing the color(s) within the bruise, it is still going to be darker. Not to mention swelling. Imagine a sheet of paper that is a light beige. Now imagine a spot gets stained from behind with some bruise-colored purple marker. You can color over it with yellow, even an oil pastel yellow, and its still going to be darker then the rest if the paper. Color correcting is pretty useless ehen the variance in shade/level is so drastic. That's where you need to come in with a thick, light paint (concealer) to get the level up to the level of the skin, then you can blend with a paint that matches the skin color You'll still need a FULL coverage foundation (and in most cases, concealer) to go over it because that specific area will still be darker than the rest of the skin. I wish they had had a good, knowledgeable MUA come in to call her out on her lies. I had a friend in cosmetology school who was badly beaten by her then boyfriend (who was arrested and sent to prison), and she did not want to come to school with her bruises visible, and she asked me to do her makeup for her. Every day for almost a month I went to her apartment before school to do her makeup. It is not easy. I used MAC full coverage cream concealer and foundation at the time, set with powder and setting spray. It had to be built up twice to fully cover it. This was originally the method I used to cover up my neck tattoo for the restaurant I worked at during that time, but it worked great for her bruises as well.
Love this. Also, when ambers makeup artist said i only used a “little” heavier concealer. So from what I’m hearing from you a little lighter of a concealer would never have worked. I wear no makeup all the time except I’m very rare occasions and I don;t try covering my blemishes or dark spots I dislike Cakey makeup I use 5 items on my whole face including eyes but I do want makeup artists. So I thought it wouldn’t work but wasn’t sure since I;m not In The makeup world really. But hearing your explanation was very understandable. Maybe you should do a video to show what it would take to cover a bruise that way we can see how what amber said is just another lie. It’s nice to actually see it done.
I think it would have been super helpful for the jury if they had a specialist come in. I don't know any men who know anything about makeup no less a situation like covering up brusing. So you think the only explanation for her makeup artist's testimony is she just lied that she covered up bruises that night when she went on James Gorden's show?
@@PFCD Honestly? I think she lied to her makeup artist about the origin of whatever discoloration she had. The bruising must have been very light. I can imagine Heard refraining from disclosing the true origin of any wounds, later “explaining” that Depp caused them. Maybe she’d actually gotten botox or fillers. She could’ve had some laser work, micro-needling or a mini-eye lift. Some say Heard has gotten cheek implants (which I believe, since her occipital bones look unnatural and unflatteringly odd). I wonder if the implants coincided with the James Cordon Show appearance. Both eyes would’ve been bruised from these procedures. Heard could be exploiting that, while fooling the kindly but unfortunately gullible makeup artist. Maybe Heard actually WAS injured - sustaining bruising when wrestling with her sister or even with Depp - say if he was trying to hold her off as she pummeled him. Or perhaps she fell during one of her attacks, or injured herself while trying to cling to him as he was bolting out the door. The possibilities are as endless as the lies she continually manufactures!
Her MUA testified to using Cle de Peau foundation and concealer. If I remember watching reviews correctly, it’s not full coverage. Im not a licensed MUA but have extensive training…I don’t see ever being able to cover this much discoloration and carrying on like normal. You’d have so much makeup on that you’d be very afraid to even smudge it for fear of uncovering the bruise. Not to mention, it would take two hours to blend the entire porcelain toned skin. 🤦🏻♀️
@@springwish4520 What is considered as evidence is very stringently defined in law. You cannot use out of court findings to support the truth of the matter. Only first hand witness accounts, videos, pictures etc. The best they could do was to bring in a makeup artist as an expert in rebuttal to say Amber's method would be ineffective. But they already had so much else I guess they did not want to diffuse attention. Also, there are so few women in the jury and I am not sure the males would at all be interested in listening to makeup theory as if it is rocket science. It would look like they are trying to hard to create evidence where there isn't. Not worth it.
@@incognitofelon I found it odd they mostly had men. And some of them were young. Usually if lawyers want the jury to identify with their client (Amber) there would be females.
I love how Milani (the makeup brand that sold the colour correctors that Amber "used" to cover bruises) was like "Johnny, I got your back" and called her ass out on TikTok.
By the way, that palette they showed in court was never used by Amber Heard…Milani came out showing that pallet didn’t come out till 2017 aka they lied and Milani called bullshit!!
There's NO makeup, foundation, concealer, anything, that will cover abuse. You can try, it fails EVERY TIME. I can vouche also. Thank you for your video💋
The moment she described doing this in basic "how to pick a color" terms, I knew that was a lie. No matter the medium, it's really tough to cover a dark color with a lighter one. It's extra rough with something like a bruise because the colors aren't exactly even. There's a variety of colors all blending in to each other, and they're slowly shifting as we heal. Nothing short of theater makeup will truly hide something like that, and I can't imagine someone getting away with looking like they don't have makeup on while actually being made up to that extent.
As a make up artist, wanted to share that Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Undereye Concealer did a stunning job covering a black eye for one of my clients who had a black eye from a soda can falling on top of her that was on top of her bed. And yes, no amount of make up can cover swelling. For bruises or dark under eyes, I use peachy tones to cover. This is very common especially with my South Asian clients as they tend to have a darker eye area. Green will take out redness like spots. If it's redness in general, I found CC Creams do a really good job to neutralize and even out general skin tone. Amber testified that she put foundation then concealer than corrector. Technically, we'd neutralize the area first with the corrector, then foundation and where needed, concealer. There's a lot that didn't make sense in the testimony but we'll see what the jury decides.
@@elixelle thank you for summing this up perfectly. I'm not a makeup artist but am a colorist (cosmo) and she knew her color theory but application was all bad.
@@elixelle I LOVE the Age Rewind!! My undereyes are always dark, so I look like I have permanent black eyes. The skin that's discolored, and the areas around are puffy. Nothing gets rid of the puffiness completely, not even collagen undereye cream. Swelling is much more extreme, so I never understood how she thought she could convince anyone that makeup could take care of it.
After my face lift, the assistant gave me something very similar. Taught me how to put it on. I absolutely hated it. Hated it. Amber has had cosmetic procedures. From what I can tell quite a few. Plus Botox and fillers. No matter how much Arnica I used pre and after procedures, I still had bruising. Always. Amber is fair skinned, as am I. It’s just inevitable. I tend to think any bruising and swelling was due to this. I call bs.
My question is…. What kind of impact did it take to create your bruises which were much more pronounced than any of the images she has provided. Her stories of the extreme IPV she supposedly experienced would have left her with much worse physical evidence. To me it looks like she didn’t get enough sleep and had a cold sore on her lip.
I had a bruise similar to the one in this video from getting hit under my eye when someone tossed my wedding bouquet back to me. I wasn't that far away and the tosser was maybe 9? It wasn't a hard impact. I didn't think anything of it till someone told me I had a black eye! It stung pretty bad but wasn't a hard hit and yet it was way darker than anything in Amber's pictures! I've seen people say it looks like botox bruising. I looked up pictures and think it's feasible. All I know is that a punch or whack from someone angry and wanting to hurt you would look way different than anything Amber showed! And like what was shown in this video, even a week later when it had healed to look similar to Amber's bruise, it was still impossible to fully cover with makeup!
I’m not saying I’m team heard, because I’m not, I’m team depp all the way and applying colour corrector after the foundation…. Dear Lord, I’m not good with makeup and I know that’s wrong! But I feel in an attempt at fairness, people bruise differently. My husband bruises like a peach, something which may cause him to bruise badly will have a completely different outcome for me, might be red and tender but nowhere near the same amount of bruising. (No we don’t beat each other up, we like live action role play/ re-enactment/ historical martial arts etc, bruising come with the territory)
@@GeekySquidoo what would a face look like that had been repeatedly beaten by HUGE chunky rings amber is saying he did? How would you cover up the ring cuts to the skin as she said she did. People may bruise slightly different in shades but will still have the blood colors under the skin.
If she wanted to be believed she should have kept her stories more simple. Because the beatings she allegedly took were far too damaging to recover that quickly from.
Especially since she has very white /fair skin it's impossible, Where's all the damage from his rings and also JD is right handed so wouldn't be in front of her...
I've got bruises on my face before after an accident. You can cover it up flawlessly, but it takes hours to layer since you need good base before makeup. I mixed my wax concealer with yellow shadow and leave it on the bruise for 1min before using sponge to press it in. As long as it's flat then it is possible to cover up.
Omg I have been doing the same thing .. different accident but same results. I kept thinking Oh that's better & then it would just keep reappearing, I kept layering it .. same thing. I gave up & was grateful to wear my mask in the shops which totally hid it!
Does she ever talk about if she experienced any pain while applying the make up? I have had many black eyes and I’ll tell you it’s very sensitive and painful even showering hurt
She has not once spoken about any pain or even healing associated with any injuries. The only pain she has ever referred to is that associated with embarrassment and damage to her reputation.
@@maemae1752 Even while supposedly being raped by a bottle. She said she could feel the pressure. Didn't describe pain from a cast hitting her face, rings hitting her face.....nothing.
I honestly feel like you covering the bruise made the swelling much more prominent. I didn’t even notice there was swelling until after you put foundation on and the makeup settled around the bruise.
This was a great video because it shows how a regular person (none makeup artist) would cover up bruises on a daily basis. It's not that you can't cover bruises with that color palette, it's that the Milani palette she's claiming to have on her through her whole relationship was not out untill a year after Johnny and her split. On top of that her make up artist said she use peach to cover her bruises and redness. You use yellow for bruising to cancel out any blues or purples and green for redness. I'm not saying that you can't use peach or other colors to match your skin tone after you use the base colors but to say you only use peach is laughable!!! Now I have seen bruises covered pretty well but that was with pretty expensive make up lots of moisturizer and a setting spray that locks it in like hairspray literally waterproof yet in bright lighting you could still see discoloration. Thank you for this video 😁 and sorry my post got so long lol
Exactly when she said she used peach I burst out laughing. That there was evidence that the MUA was lying. If she used peach, for real, she was probably just covering up the shadow under the eyes from lack of sleep. Peach cannot correct bruising. Fresh bruising like hers will definitely need green as green cancels red. Or yellow to cancel purple. Peach is a no bueno.
This tells me that her makeup artist isn’t that great either and possibly knows nothing about color theory. If you don’t know about color theory how can you call yourself a makeup artist? I’m going to be very upset if Johnny Depp doesn’t emerge victorious from this whole fiasco.
you forgot to mention that the ENTIRE time Amber's lawyer called it "amica cream" when it's actually "arnica cream". lowercase r and n next to each other do sort of look like an m, and I know Elaine is terrible at name pronunciations (ie. "miss vas-kwez" instead of "vas-kez") but you'd think Amber would've corrected her several times beforehand considering she's apparently familiar with this brand of cream...made themselves look extra dumb
@@jennaye8142 looking dumb didn’t require much effort on their part. Btw good looking out about the pronunciation!! I didn’t catch that. On pins and needles for tomorrow. It really shouldn’t be long now. I know they gave them a bunch of parameters and rules they have to follow in order to charge one of them…..I guess that’s what’s making it take a while. Honestly Friday I would have told the just I didn’t need more time. I know she’s guilty. It has nothing to do with how much I like him…..she’s obviously an abuser according to what has been shared in the courtroom.
I was in a real DV relationship for 10 years. I can tell you I tried everything. Even when you can hide the color completely you cannot hide the indented line where the swollen skin meets normal skin. It's not possible until days 3-10. She could not possibly have pulled it off same day or next day.
10 years? After that long, it's a choice. With all the services available now and you stayed? No ma'am. I ran 4 states away in the middle of the night, hitchhiking with truck drivers... sorry, but that's on you.
I have a genetic blood disorder and bruise like a peach. I have tried everything to cover bruises and have found nothing to cover them. Even if I got some coverage and think I’ve achieved it it is a matter of minutes to the bruise starts shining through. All my colour correcting is first before foundation and concealer. Also make up does not cover swelling and I always how much I tried and failed to hide my bruises the swelling gave it away. I am a victim of domestic violence and before the trial I was willing to give Amber the benefit of the doubt but watching the way she behaves has triggered me. She reminds me of my abuser with the sneering, the belittling the jeering and I have struggled with my PTSD symptoms seeing the way she Is. With Johnny I can see that he is the one that has suffered from abuse. The way he struggles to talk about it, the way he can’t look at her and the way he is overly polite with everyone. I hope that this trial helps male victims of domestic abuse. It is a subject that’s not often talked about it. Also as a female victim who was afraid of taking my abuser to court so wasn’t brave enough to do it as I couldn’t be in the same room as my abuser I hope that her lies won’t look bad for genuine victims.
I absolutely agree with you, Tracey. I'm so sorry you had to experience DV. I am survivor as well, and what you say makes total sense to me. The more I watched of this trial, the more I felt deeply inside that JD is the true victim and not AH. She does NOT look at all like she has PTSD and she certainly shows no fear of her "abuser" as she claims, which is completely the opposite way of how I would feel in court close to my abuser. I hope JD gets his name cleared and goes on to an even bigger and better future career.
It’s very hard to cover bruises, and it actually makes me think about the swelling and softness of a bruise. Those are really hard to cover even with studio makeup. Amber bruise looked very flat and had no texture to it.
Her make up artist was careful to call it "discoloration" the only time I think she actually used the word bruise is when she claimed to have created and covered up bruises _before_ i think amber hit herself to create some light coloration. She even slipped saying "I was Punching my face, that's what created the bruises" once...
First: you did such a great job with all that! Second: When i look at how your palette behaves and applies it feels way more like SFX-quality rather than casual everyday-correction. The one you used seems to be so much more pigmented and powerful and therefore feels like a more appropriate choice for such kinds of coverage than the one(s) shown in the courtroom. And even the powerful colors fail to make bruising disappear. I would love seeing you try it with the one shown in court, but also i don't wish any more bruises to you
Thank you !! I agree with you about this being more of sfx type quality. I really wish I could have found the exact one she had. I wonder if they quit making it or if it’s sold out because I even had trouble finding the Milani one online. I’ll probably be able to find it now that my bruising is almost gone 😂😂. I really tried to be open minded about her statements on covering the bruising but I really don’t see how.
The Milani color correcting kit she and her attorney claimed she used came out with a statement the product wasn't even released yet at the time she claimed to be using it. Not until like a full year later after! She's full of lies and explained she put on her foundation and concealer first because she clearly knows nothing about color correcting but only about applying fake bruises with a bruise kit! So infuriating!
I agree, I've even tried ones that are so thick they feel like clay, but THEY STILL DON'T cover ANYTHING, not even simple under eye bags, nevermind a seriously red bruise!
I was punched in the eye several times as a kid and the mark would look exactly like this, under the occipital and high cheek landmarks. I used my aunts foundation and was shocked to realize that I couldn’t cover it up, so went to school and lied that it was just a bug bite. I still get triggered seeing abuse, this whole case was triggering and amber is disgusting

This was interesting! I appreciate how you took the time to cover it. Makes me think that Amber Heard was using her theater makeup to create the bruise and then the next day she didn't wear her "bruise."
Would be awesome if they could find a volunteer and made Amber do a live demonstration in court, on how she would cover up bruises. This would be a sure fire way to prove her lies...
@@littlemisssunshine3267 would be awesome, but we don't want her to blame it on Johnny sending someone to assault her.. cos everything is always Johnny's fault.... its his fault that she couldnt "donate" the 7mil to charity, and so on... she's always right... 🤣
I went to school when I was 19 to do makeup, I took master classes and it's been like 13 years. I am telling u right now that something is always going to come through. Even if you put enough to cover it successfully no one, no one, not even vape dude could confuse her with being fresh faced no makeup. She said bruise kit for a reason and when listing her steps said the bruise kit came last....you don't put color corrector on last or you would have green or red spots. She is terrible and if ever anyone deserved to actually go to jail for perjury it is her.
Thank you for the demonstration. I think it'smore probable that rather than using a cover-up kit to conceal a bruise, she used a "bruise kit" to create a bruise. If you look at the photo of Johnny sleeping with the ice cream in his lap, on the table in front of him is a "bruise kit", with colors that are much different than a cover-up kit.
I think the whole issue with what Heard claimed was that the makeup she claimed to use didn't exist at the time. Bruises can be covered with certain foundations or concealers and she might have made some point if she hadn't launched off into a non-existent brand at the time.
You would still be able to see it under studio heat and lights. I do know there are foundations available to professional makeup artists that can even cover tattoos. I agree though that she never could have covered it using a milani pallet and regular foundation. I’m so happy you tried this experiment 😊
Even the foundation and concealer palettes the MUAs use doesn't cover tattoos or swollen bruises. There's nothing that can hide them completely on the face. You can cover tattoos on the body because you can layer more product without it caring up because the skin on the body is thicker and rougher. Facial skin is delicate and the more products you add the more you accentuate any fine lines or swelling....so no matter what product or technique they used, it would still show the imperfections on the face, especially under studio lighting and being recorded in 4K HD.
Thank you for doing this demo, Rachael! I was curious about the coverage of bruises. So, I guess the kit also won’t heal broken blood vessels in eyeballs, swelling, gashes on feet, or tears on the skin... down there. 😉 Hope you heal soon!
From my experience learning drag makeup i can say that to cover some that bluey/purple would require A LOT of cover and A LOT of setting powder and that's before a very full coverage concealer and foundation. Even with covering a 5 oclock shadow you need to get the right tones and if you dont do it right it WILL show through the foundation even if you use something like Kryolan tv paint stick which is like one of the fullest coverage foundations out there. Theres no way one can realistically achieve a "natural" look when covering bruising
thank you for this, that's exactly my thoughts also, no amount of 'blending' will make the required layers of make up appear natural, that woman needs locking up in a mental ward and treating for her mental health issues fast
I replied to another comment regarding learning about Dermablend from drag queens. You are 💯… there is no way she covered her bruises and looked that natural.
Speaking from experience, it’s almost impossible to completely cover a bruise. You can diminish the look of it but you can’t physically 100% get rid of it. On the last day or two you can since there’s a lot less discoloration but when it’s the first few days it’s impossible & I used Stila Color Corrector primer, CC concealer, KVD Lock It Concealer (in the tube, not the wand), then KVD Lock It Foundation (both KVD products covers tattoos flawlessly) but you could still see the discoloration from the bruise under it bc a bruise is not always the same color.
I was in an abusive relationship and most of the time I wanted people to see my bruises.. but sometimes I just felt like putting on make up(when I actually was allowed to buy some) to make myself feel better... and I never could completely cover them.. not to mention sometimes it was just painful and I was wanna touch it with anything
@@rachaelann6654 I’m trying to be.. the only reason I’m no longer in that relationship is because he killed himself.. and what really screws with me is that he tried it so many times before saying he would and I’d run back to him go stop him every time but this time I kept my distance but still kept talking to him over the phone.. but because I didn’t run back to him I got a message that said I love you then he killed him self.. so everything about that will mess with me forever.. I’m just trying to focus on me and my kids and not the fact that I lost 6 of the closest people to me in 3 years.. we aren’t doing as good as I want us to be but it’s a work in progress.. I just hope I can get to a point that feels okay..
Wow! It covered it worse than I thought it would! And you did it right, the colour corrector goes on before foundation etc. A bruise kit or bruise wheel from theatrical shop as amber slipped up and said on stand - goes on after foundation as it's to create fake bruises xx
This was an awesome video to demonstrate this. I’d be interested to see the process AH described: foundation, concealer, then the bruise kit on top of that.my guess is that what she actually described would look ridiculous because what she described was backwards for this kind of kit. I like that you included that even with applying the product in the proper order underneath your makeup it was cakey and even more visible. Great demo!
See my comment above about how you look after being hit like amber describes... I so wish I could tell the jury about just the physical aftermath. I think they should have found pictures where they his the identity. Or found a real victim/survivor willing to share photos or act as an expert witness to DV. To counter act her selfish manipulation of DV.
I agree I feel they should have brought demo's in or non biased makeup artists to show if that would work or not....who the hell puts concealer and color corrector on AFTER the foundation. Also a reenactment on a very lifelike dummy with someone wearing rings and beating the dummy like she described to see what shape it was in afterwards...she's basically trying to pin him for attempted murder saying he tried to kill her and she almost died so I feel issues like this should have been covered more thoroughly
I tried very hard to cover bruises from a broken nose that caused bruising under one eye and mostly on the bridge of my nose. It was very similar to the bruises that Amber claimed she had. I used the same bruise kit that Amber had as well. At first by working on it I managed to disguise the coloration somewhat but it was still obvious that my face was bruised. Like you said the appearance of all that cakiness of makeup may be worse than showing the actual bruising. I even had a friend work on it for me. Bruising changes colors as the week goes on so I tried concealing it but people could tell at work that I had an accident and constantly was asked what happened. I’ve been in real disbelief over Amber’s story.
Interesting, I thought that the bruise on Amber's face looked too light to be a broken nose. So interesting to know that the bruise could be that light in a broken nose. I agree she could never cover it.
Thank you for giving this a go, and doing so in such a calming and efficient manner! So sorry you hurt your eye (as a child I did something similar, I know it will have hurt a lot!) Hope you're feeling much better now :)
I tried covering up a black eye back in 95. It’s impossible. There’s no covering it up unless you’re like a complete expert in make up. And still I dunno if it’s possible
It may be possible if you have an inch of makeup on but ATurd seems to always look like she wears really light/natural makeup, even red carpet events it doesn’t look caked on
I think you could probably do it with that liquid latex that SFX artists use. But you can't have much facial motion with that without it looking obvious that something is on your face. It certainly would not look like how she looked on James Corden when she was all animated and expressive.
It is possible to cover up a black eye with make. If you're a professional makeup artist with really good products it would be easier. However a black eye only comes from blunt trauma (like being punched, bumping into something etc...) which will cause you're fave to swell and you bruised eye wouldn't open as wide and that can't be covered up with make up
Yes, for sure. Way to make lemonade out of lemons. ;). I’m now looking forward to my next clumsy-self-inflicted bruise so I can try - I am pretty sure I have that exact palette you were using, too.
when I worked in sephora in nyc my specialty was covering tattoos and bruises for walk ins. There is def an art and science to it. A bruise is multiple colors so you have to literally color correct each color you see. That green helped cancel out the red part of the bruise but you had alot of purple that needed to be canceled out with yellow. the skin would be different in texure and more sensitive so i'd reccommend dabbing it on gently with a sponge. and purple will help with the yellow part of the bruise. Amber heard knew that everyday the bruise does change but she didn't speak of how a bruise is never just 1color and you need multiple colors to correct it UNDER makeup. aka she had no clue what she was talking about🤦🏼♀️
Yea your one of the few to actually know you can cover bruises that I’ve found in these comments 🤦♀️😂 The right make up and techniques are literally magical lol. You can definitely cover tattoos and bruises but you just can’t cover swelling… the lady in the video didn’t use good quality products& full coverage foundation and concealer like your suppose to. Drugstore is good for something’s but it’s hard finding full coverage foundation and concealer tbh, I buy lip stuff, blush, mascara, eye liner, brushes, beauty blenders and some eye shadows at the drugstore then everything else at ultra. It’s definitely worth the extra money and a big different from wet products.
@@shortyylu I can see it working with full coverage, but the pictures of Amber after her assault have her looking very natural and I doubt it’s full coverage make up that she’s wearing- last, is it actually possible to get that look with full coverage?
Thanks for your attempts to hide the bruising. Everyone has had accidents where we need to cover bruising for work or whatever and no matter what that darn bruise would show through the makeup. I believe it was said in court by either AH or her makeup artist that they used peach undertones to hide the bruising. Perhaps try that first. I used to do makeup for plays and musicals and I can create a really authentic looking bruise, cuts, gashes, etc., and I have attempted to cover bruises too in all those years to no avail. Luckily with productions the audience is a fair distance away so they wouldn't see the covered bruising but certainly up close it was very noticeable. You can't cover up lies with makeup and I do believe that she used her bruise kit, (perhaps with the help of Rocky) to create that bruising to show off to the court for her restraining order and for TMZ so she could lie to the world. Love your videos...and all of the bubbles!
I think you did a great job! The bruises, swelling, and healing skin are less noticeable but still very visible. I hope you make a quick and full recovery.
I've never been a victim of physical DV (emotional and SA though). I have never believed her, EVER. But when she took the stand to talk about how a makeup artist flawlessly covered up her "busted" lip it was just the icing on the cake. She is allegedly notorious for biting her bottom lip and picking at the skin, as am I. I can tell you that there is not enough money in all the world that could cover up a split lip like that. In fact, adding products only makes it worse. This was an awesome video and I hope you're healed up by now!
Anyone who was actually abused (any form) knows she's lying! The way she acts and her body language when talking about abuse.. I can't even imagine describing things in full detail without hesitation because it's embarrassing, we're made to feel like it's our fault we let it happen and it also hurts to talk about it. If someone asked me to describe what happened I could barely recall because just thinking about it makes my brain foggy
I'm so glad you did this video! It really shows us a lot even if it's the opposite of what she said she did when she applied her makeup to cover a bruise (which is how to make a bruise) it still is enlighting to see you try. :)
Thank you for doing this!! I was screaming when she said she covered it with a color correction pallete. I am a klutz and I mean I trip on air. I have had many facial bruises over the years and actually keep a color wheel on hand. For her eye to be as black as she said no amount of makeup or color corrector could cover it up, especially after just one day prior of it happening. The swelling alone would be obvious smh
Ugh guys I’m so annoyed right now. I did this video before Amber testified and I did it differently than she said she did hers! I would try again but I’m almost all healed up. That’s my luck 🤦♀️
Thanks for doing it anyways. 😁
@@likethecolorgreen you’re welcome ☺️
you did it just right! imagine doing your make up normally, with concealer first, and then you put a green thing on it later. We wouldn't see your bruise because you'd be with a green thing on your face. It wouldn't make any sense. Amber just doesn't know how to cover bruises, since she described exactly what one should do to make a fake bruise with a bruise kit (it would be in the order she said she does)
@@lilytails9414 this! She slipped upped and I don’t think they caught that.
glad you're healing up, honestly interesting to see somebody with actual injuries making this effort.
You did make one key mistake in this test that differs vastly from Ms Heard's makeup application. You actually had a bruise to cover up.
LMFAO
🤣🤣🤣👍👍

Yas!
Lol. I was reading this like ok what did I do wrong then I got to the end 😂🤦♀️
No but a sfx bruise kit goes on top of foundation and concealer.
That’s how you know she was lying. She described exactly what you would do to fake a bruise, not cover one up.
that's how you know Amber's lying. correctors are used under foundation, not over foundation.
@@Zee_1003 my thoughts exactly. being a makeup artist, that is true. You would never put color correction on top of foundation and concealer

Thank you! I really wanted to see if there could be a way she did cover it up but I really don’t think so.
I ran into a box at work. I tripped on a mat and I ran into a corner of a box. I ended up with bruising and scratches.
She is indeed a liar.. however, set the colour corrector with a fine dusting of powder and then do a thin layer of foundation... ;)

I wish they did a recreation like this during the trial- it’s powerful evidence. Even better- have her demonstrate
From opening statements by her lawyer, I thought that is what AH or some expert was going to do. Didn’t they use “demonstrate” somewhere? I guess I expected too much 😆
It can't be done, cuz there's no bruises 😂
Maybe her sister can punch her so she can prove her case lol
I once fell and cut my lip a little bit I had difficulty eating leave alone put lipstick and then open your mouth wide like that ...and which person will go to a show all chirpy and whatever shes not even a good actress...you'd be sore and depressed and cancel or delay the show
Then faking the 2 sexual assaults which were never mentioned in the UK trial.
I hope you are in a better place now.
She would have been more believable if she had brought a jar of leeches into court and said that she used them to elimate bruises.
The swelling and continued discoloration are telling. I’ve been around someone who was hit by a domestic partner and no amount of makeup covered up the facts. Took weeks before the bruising completely healed. Ice doesn’t magically make swelling go away forever either . Thanks for showing the truth.
Alternating applications of ice and heat will contract and dilate the blood vessels and help pump the bruising out.
Exacto por desgracia lo comprobé en mi cara y en mi cuerpo

I was hit with a soft ball in high school and it broke my nose. I tried EVERYTHING to cover it to go to school and let me tell you. Almost a week.
Oh my gosh just reading this made my nose hurt. 🫣
Yeh its so evidently a lie, especially when she describes just how much he supposedly beat her up and with rings on, she must have forgot that during this time she was in the public eye a lot with zero signs of injury

The secret to cover bruises is:
👉 AMICA
🤭🤭
You dont have amica cream that why she is the only one that have it . 😂😂😂😂
It's pretty simple, really.
The bruises were on JD.
It's a theatrical makeup pallet.
ya plus non of those colors match her skin
If you look at the pic she took of Depp with the melted ice cream the bruise kit is in the photo. It’s not a color corrector.
@@meganpotter289 REALLY??!! I didn't notice it but I also wasn't looking. Thank you! now I have to go look lol
Megan you are so right.
One would think that a true professional theatrical makeup palate would consist of products that go on very thick and heavy to completely change the color of anything.
Don’t forget, she said: Concealer, foundation, and THEN the “bruise kit” to create the bruise.
Lol… I tried to cover bruises with foundation, concealer, kit, even tattoo cover foundation… nothing works perfectly, you still can see pretty well the bruises…
Exactly, she just slipped up there.
Exactly 🤣 it went on Top of her foundation 🤣
@@petitcoquelicotdeschamps4473 even if you finally did cover them up, it would look cakey AF. Plus any swelling/puffiness would still be visible. Amber’s complexion in all of her photos looks very natural and dewy, no swelling/puffiness.

I would love to see how Amber covered up the ‘broken nose’ and ‘constantly opening split lip’ she apparently also had 😂😂

Exactly. Makeup can't cover up a broken nose. You would still see the disfigured nose underneath the makeup. AH is a liar.
Well she's literally a spokesperson for L'oreal Paris cosmetics 😛I think she knows her way around a compact.
Having been in a domestic abusive relationship, I am so mad that Amber is running these lies. Thank you for showing step by step how this doesn’t work, and how in real life it’s a very difficult job to cover bruises, particularly to the face. Thank you ☺️ 🙏

@Karaoke Konnection Not to mention the possibility of infection by putting makeup on open wounds.
I know, it's freaking ridiculous! I was in 2 of those relationships and she needs to be stopped!
I would imagine CREATING a "bruise look" is far easier than making one disappear.
It is. By far
Absolutely looks that way. And hiding a split lip would be so much harder. No matter how much lipstick you put on. Yet she says Johnny for people to lie for her 😱
You can’t cover a bruise that’s why no one tries
Yes, since she didn't actually have a bruise.
@Mrs. Sanchez I think it was very telling she called it her "bruise kit" instead of something more like "bruise cover up kit". Flashes of honesty that contradict her story.
The Milani palette didn’t exist when she was allegedly abused so this by itself is misleading. Bruises can be covered, swelling can not
I can't even cover my pimples properly. Color can be matched to skin but exactly swelling can't be covered. Ice doesn't reduce bruise swelling that effectively. Plain lier.

@@ReaLis0uM I am, thank you, very much.
@@lolo4740 It is, thank you, so much.

Case closed for me! This sums it up. Even if she wanted to hide bruises, she should have thought of investing in something like Dermablend body makeup or like an actual tattoo cover-up. That would make way more sense. Those things can be expensive, but it's not like she couldn't afford it. Shows how dumb she is in that regard. And like Milani is her go-to. Right. 💄💋

It is far easier to make "fake" bruising than to cover actual bruises.

Idk who amber thinks she's fooling. She couldn't even cover that scar on her forehead let alone a black eye and broken nose
True. Actually bruises have swelling around them.
The swelling makes your eye close more than the other. Covering the bruise can’t hide the fact of an injury.
Even the step by step order is OBVIOUSLY PROVING that she was CREATING bruises, not HIDING them.
People who have real discoloration on their face (like those who have PCOS) KNOW that they put the color correction FIRST and then, foundation etc.... because we want the foundation / smooth appearance to be last and stand out
But yeah, if u wanna CREATE a bruise, obviously, you want it to stand out, so u use the "bruise kit", i mean, the color correction LAST. You conceal the real complexion behind the "bruises"
If she doesnt even "KNOW" how to cover bruises... that PROVES she never HAD TO... meaning, that alleged DV never happened.
Phhewwww
Fr I was so confused too !! Why would she put foundation and concealer first and then the color correction on top 🤨🤨 that would make her face green
This is the FIRST THING I thought as soon as she said it. I mean I've never had to conceal bruises but I have had my fair share of pimples, never would put foundation first .
She said she used a bruise kit, (that's what I theatre palette is called to create bruises) and tried to justify why she called it that 😜🤣

Plus with all it takes to cover a dark bruise, it would be noticeable that a person has lots of makeup but in ambers case it seems pretty natural.
i agree expensive products cover way more better
OMG! Thank you for stating that Amber's face would be mincemeat after her claims of being hit repeatedly in the face by someone wearing huge heavy rings. Not only would it look worse than mincemeat. Imagine u get a hit with a hand cover with rings...there's no way u won't get more than a bruise with those things lol.
yep I took one punch to the nose once and it blacked both my eyes eyes not only that but broke blood vessels in my eyeball and I had dark dark purple bruising for a least 2 weeks
edit: That 1 punch was from a female with no rings so if a man with big ass rings punches you in the nose your shit's gonna be broken foresure you will not be on the red carpet the night after that's a guarantee
@@alyssahamlett but she didn't get nothing of that ...what a coincidence that bruise kit is from another world lol
It looked to me like Amber painted on her eye bruises, and make believe broken nose. And she did a really bad job. That’s why no one saw anything the next day! No one saw it except her friends. That’s funny isn’t it? Her make up artist, four police, one police woman was s DV expert, the front desk people, no one saw any injuries on Amber except her best friends.
not to mention the swelling that would come with it in the first few days 😒
I mean, her last name isn’t really heard lol
I understand, I could only watch clips of her lies on the stand. I too was triggered BAD. I'd love to show her a real black eye!!

There is no way the Milani pallette, nor any color correcting palette of a similar level of coverage and pigment concentration would cover up bruising like that.
That's where you need to come in with a thick, light paint (concealer) to get the level up to the level of the skin, then you can blend with a paint that matches the skin color
You'll still need a FULL coverage foundation (and in most cases, concealer) to go over it because that specific area will still be darker than the rest of the skin.
@@love.wildly.live.fearlessly aw thank you for your reply! And your suggestion! Perhaps I will do that! 💚
I have natural dark circles under my eyes and I can tell you how hard it is just to be rid of those, let alone a bruise. also hope you healed up well!
Thanks for doing this. I was annoyed that you can't just bring in a bruised person and get Amber to demonstrate how she cover up her bruises in court.
Ikr?? I also thought it was important for JD team to do a demonstration and show how hard it is to cover a bruise. I wonder why they didn't do that.
@@springwish4520 Judge wouldn't allow that.
@@incognitofelon Do you have an idea why? Even if they do their own experiment outside court and then show the results and pictures during the trial?
Amber is really good at covering bruises up especially with make up that hasn't been released yet.
I love how Milani (the makeup brand that sold the colour correctors that Amber "used" to cover bruises) was like "Johnny, I got your back" and called her ass out on TikTok.
She is really good covering bruises, but when bruises does not exist😆.
😂😂
The answer is simple. She went forward in time, waited for the bruise to heal, and then returned to the present.
By the way, that palette they showed in court was never used by Amber Heard…Milani came out showing that pallet didn’t come out till 2017 aka they lied and Milani called bullshit!!
This is exactly what I’ve been saying! I’ve had double black eyes and a broken nose. You can NOT cover swelling. Thank you for this demonstration.
You couldn't have done a better job. Amazing! Thank you so much for showing this. I was so hoping team Johnny could've done this in front of the jury.
She wrote it in the description
@@GeekySquidoo what would a face look like that had been repeatedly beaten by HUGE chunky rings amber is saying he did? How would you cover up the ring cuts to the skin as she said she did. People may bruise slightly different in shades but will still have the blood colors under the skin.

I've got bruises on my face before after an accident. You can cover it up flawlessly, but it takes hours to layer since you need good base before makeup.
Thank you so much. Also I don’t know why I never thought to use setting spray that probably would have helped with longevity.

Like she even applied it. Hello makeup artist she probably didn't even know what they use or do
You would still be able to see it under studio heat and lights.
Or broken noses.

I never even thought about the tattoo foundations good point
I was in an abusive relationship and most of the time I wanted people to see my bruises.. but sometimes I just felt like putting on make up(when I actually was allowed to buy some) to make myself feel better... and I never could completely cover them.. not to mention sometimes it was just painful and I was wanna touch it with anything
I’m so sorry you had to go through this. Reading this breaks my heart. I hope you are in a much better place now.
@@TheJessicahammerly I am so sorry you endured everything that you did. You are so strong girl. Sending my condolences.🙏

Thank you 💕. Love your user name. I can relate 😴
Actually, she described the steps to create a bruise.
The bubbles going by over your knee, I can't...lol, best part of video for me, too cute!!
It may be possible if you have an inch of makeup on but ATurd seems to always look like she wears really light/natural makeup, even red carpet events it doesn’t look caked on
@@SSubz1 agreed
I think you could probably do it with that liquid latex that SFX artists use. But you can't have much facial motion with that without it looking obvious that something is on your face. It certainly would not look like how she looked on James Corden when she was all animated and expressive.
It is possible to cover up a black eye with make. If you're a professional makeup artist with really good products it would be easier. However a black eye only comes from blunt trauma (like being punched, bumping into something etc...) which will cause you're fave to swell and you bruised eye wouldn't open as wide and that can't be covered up with make up
@@jonghun8468 thats what happened to my dad when he was punched, his eyes were swelling becos of the bruise around hiz eyes,
Great try Rachel! Very interesting to watch. I'm horrible with makeup.
Thanks for the video. Hope you're all better now! ♡
I’m so glad you were okay and were able to make the best of the bruising situation!
Thank you Kelsy🥰
Amber heard knew that everyday the bruise does change but she didn't speak of how a bruise is never just 1color and you need multiple colors to correct it UNDER makeup. aka she had no clue what she was talking about🤦🏼♀️
Wow!! I didn’t even know they offered that. I bet you got really good at it.
Yea your one of the few to actually know you can cover bruises that I’ve found in these comments 🤦♀️😂
The right make up and techniques are literally magical lol. It’s definitely worth the extra money and a big different from wet products.
wow that is an art, never thought about it that way, being multiple colors and changing etc...
This is a good demonstration. I tried to cover bruises on my face and eyes from an accident injury, they were impossible to conceal.
Thank you 🥰
I think you did a great job! The bruises, swelling, and healing skin are less noticeable but still very visible. I hope you make a quick and full recovery.
Thank you 🥰
I've never been a victim of physical DV (emotional and SA though).
Also acutane, which she takes, is supposedly really drying to the lips.
You make sense. Ever try to hide a zit with makeup? Doesn't work either.
With efforts, you can hide it from distance, but when people see you really close, plus under light, it shows
Thank you for doing this!!
😂❤
I love your description....trip on air. That is beautiful 😍
You trip on air. 🤣🤣🤣I truly needed a laugh today. Thank you
