- This is the new Pepperbox Xtreme. Based on the legacy of the original Pepperbox, the Xtreme has a few new features including higher gain, new elements, and a coplanar waveguide feed system.

Love my old crosshair, in fact, I had to send it in for a new cable because of ware and tear. Got it back and works great again. I cant imagine something working better but I know these pepperbox antennas are even more awesome if you plan on going the distance. Thx for all the hard work you put into all your products. bd

Yeah.... 1.3Ghz phased array. Physics isn't friendly when it comes to size on lower frequencies.
I'm still running the original 5.8ghz LHCP with a 45° directly on my laforge module, I want to get the newest version but tell that day comes I can't say enough about how amazing my experience has been, lets put it this way I got so fed up with out running my old spektrum radio I got my self an x10s and the full size crossfire module and on 10mw crsf my video out ran my TX in a straight line of sight test run 😉 best antennas on the planet! Hands down the only brand I like to run !

What do you think of my vtx antenna Gimbal idea to keep the polarization correct all the time.
Always look forward to watching your video’s . Could you possibly do a range test with your helical 2.4 ghz antenna & any adapters attached to Frsky X-lite . I have one of your 2.4 ghz Circular polarized antenna’s . Or maybe a splitter with one of each . I’ve requested a video comparison from some of the more popular reviewers with no success . I plan on purchasing one soon . Thanks for your time ...
I can't fly that far here... seriously. There are mountains all around me and the farthest I can go without crossing a mountain range is ~5 miles. You are talking about a 15+ mile control link.
Hi, I have another question. How do you connect these two parallel antennas? Can I use the same method to join Pepperbox and mushroom? thanks.

I have yet to have seen a video using this antenna. I mean I can't find a video recording from a ground station using this antenna. Ya lots of video of the old pepperbox but not the xtreme .
Please someone post a flight video.

Coming soon. I just tested the first element prototype today. I was off on rotational phasing by quite a bit, but I think the next revision I should get it.

I actually improved it and the new version was just released a week ago. We had some problems making the covers for them which slowed things down, but we are back up to speed now.
I have been using the new 2.4 pepperbox xtreme for a few weeks and its worse then my older 2.4 vas crosshair if your flying over houses with routers. Im using the immersion 700mw vtx with a 3 blade VAS antenna. I tested all the freg 2396,2410 and 2430. 2396 being the best. I cant even get a mile out at 700 feet over the houses.
Change to 1.3ghz. Get off the WiFi bands
Can the 2.4ghz also be used as a transmit antenna? For aground station situation? Or strictly receive...?
Sure you could use it as a control antenna for the transmitter. Just need the 2.4Ghz version. I quite literally sent out the first revision prototype parts for manufacturing 30 minutes ago.

Hi, Is crosshair antenna going to work with VTX Dipole? Is any matter LHCP or RHCP in this case?
A dipole works with just about everything. Just no multipath rejection capability, that's all.
Could you explain "no multipath rejection capability", please? What is your opinion VTX 1.3 dipole vs mushroom for plane? Thanks.
Victor Bogolyubov dude just use a CP madmushroom or something. I mean why would you buy such a great receiver antenna and not match it to a CP antenna?
Some people say that VTX mushroom is good for drone, because it constantly changes angle. For plane it is also good, but because plane is more stable, dipole is also can give the same performance.
What's the difference with the Old pepperbox antenna ? I have the old Pepperbox 1.3Ghz

Unless you are really pushing the edge of your video feed, there is no reason to upgrade. The original pepperbox is awesome. This one is ~10-15% better, that's all.

It is not reviewed simply because 1.3GHz isn't nearly as popular as it used to be. Reviewers are only reviewing 5.8GHz equipment these days. That stated, 50+km is well within this antennas range. The previous version held several 70+ km record flights by multiple pilots. If you have the airplane set up properly, 50+ is certainly within reach.
