Great video. Saying that Teams can replace or lower dependence on email is a fools errand if you don't combat the noise! All you are doing is shifting one distraction to another. This video goes a long way to quite the overall noise! Thanks Matt. However, I look forward to a part 2 video, because I'm sure there are more settings and options to choose from that can help people!
Will be forwarding to colleagues; really good explanation presented logically and clearly. I've tried to explain before, but often forget to mention one option or another
I’d love a video on how to create a proactive workflow (not the app) in Microsoft environment. The current solution is so dependent on reactivity, I wonder how anyone can work like this? In a new organization where we use Microsoft I wonder how I will be able to overview, prioritize and store important information (in all formats) in an effective way. Phew! Give me strength.. 😅
I do training often, so I use the Focus mode feature in Windows 10. I have set Teams to use Windows native notifications, then in the Notification Center in Windows (the speech bubble next to the clock in the lower right) I have made Focus one of the buttons. When I enable focus mode, Teams go silent, and when I turn it off again, I see notifications again (those that are configured to show according to the other tips in this video). You can accomplish similar on Macs by setting to Mac native in Teams, then configure the Notification settings in MacOS preferences.
This video is so useful .
It helps me avoid distracting notifications . 😊
Great video Mat, as always. Very useful, thank you very much.
You’re welcome!

Well said!
Teams and the way it notifies you and the limited options it gives you is an absolute mess compared to slack

Excellent, thanks a lot
I just want to disable the notification number inside the app
This is really clear, thank you!!

Great! I'm a teacher. Having notifications appear during class meetings is distracting for me. Now I can turn them off :)
