I could not stop smiling through this whole video. Question: if both you and Patrick have the ability to work remotely, why do you not live there? At least half the year? My family is from Flores, Azores and this brought me such nostalgia. Thank you and your family for sharing these special experiences of your beautiful lives 💕 What a gorgeous country. I imagine/hope we’ll soon be watching a cheesy pour recipe on your channel??? 🥰😜😘
Gstaad is like a fairy tale village. The flowers are incredible. One question, why did you come home? Lol I’m kidding but I honestly don’t think I would want to come back to Texas after spending time there. Thanks for sharing.
Robin, Thank you so very much for sharing this part of your life with your followers. It was absolutely breathtaking to get to see Switzerland with all the beautiful flowers, mountains, lakes, streams, architecture and farm animals. The goats were adorable. I am still hoping to visit the Alps one day but I enjoyed getting to go along with you. I have watched most all your videos and this is one of my favorites. Thank you so much for this lovely video! It makes me so homesick for Switzerland. I studied music there at the Conservatoire de Fribourg. It was one of the happiest periods of my life. How amazing that you got to see the Desalpes and all the cows returning from their Summer stay in the mountains! Lucky you! It really is wonderful that you have family there you can visit. Please thank them for allowing us a peek into their lovely home. To me, Switzerland will always be the most beautiful place on earth and Gruyeres its crowning glory. 😍💚💙

Thanks for sharing your beautiful vlog. I love Switzerland---one of the best spots was Mürren which was accessible only by cable car. A favorite memory was having cheese fondue and wine at a chalet after a long mountain hike (amidst the cows with bells as you featured...). Do they speak French or German in the area of your family's home? And does Patrick still speak the language?
Hi Kristin! French is spoken where our family lives, but Patrick grew up speaking Swiss German because his Parents are from that part of Switzerland. 😊❤️🤍🇨🇭

I love Switzerland and my husband and I are blessed to be able to visit that beautiful country usually once a year. We've been to Gstaad for a day to look around and the train journey there had breathtaking views. Just gorgeous scenery. We've been to Geneva for a day too which was also very nice. I'm so pleased for you and your family that the Lord has blessed your lives with the gift of being able to visit such a beautiful part of His world on a regular basis and have family connections there. Very accurate, Switzerland 🇨🇭 is one of the cleanest and most beautiful 😍 countries I’ve ever visited and one of the most expensive, but worth it for the care they put into everything. Absolutely love 💗. My one regret was not going to Audrey Hepburn’s home 🏡 and it was quite close. Oh well, maybe if there is a next time 😊

We were in Switzerland in early August. We were in Zurich, Geneva and Zermatt. I love it there. Your in laws are very young looking. How did your husband end up in the USA? Catching up on your Vlogs. God bless.
I was just in Switzerland Robin! My nephew graduated from Cesar Ritz College in Brig. We went to Geneva, Brig, Lausanne, Sion, Bern, and Annecy, France. We loved it. Just beautiful! Where is the family home?

That was lovely to see, Switzerland is such a beautiful country. I was there on a school ski holiday when I was 15 in a place called Finkenberg, would have loved to have gone back, maybe some day. The flowers are so gorgeous and that view from the restaurant. It really does your heart good. Looks like you had a wonderful time with the family, thanks for sharing

What a wonderful vlog post! Do you happen to have footage of the kitchen in the home? I'd love to see how a typical kitchen in Switzerland is set up. The part with the cows coming down from the hills was such a treat! How lucky you were to see that. I have a 10-year-old bovine-obsessed granddaughter and it is her dream to someday see this same event.

I think it would be nice if you did more home videos . As much as I love to travel I find these videos very selective
I have been to Switzerland and it is an incredibly beautiful atmospheric place. We did the trip on the Glazier from Zermatt to St Moritz which was incredible. However is was SO expensive trying to stick to our budget took a bit of the shine off. You are very fortunate that you can stay with family and have more of a “local” experience as being a tourist on a budget can be a bit of a challenge.

What a delightful adventure. My favorites were the cows and their bells, the stunning flowers and the beautiful mountains. The only thing I’m left wanting is a glimpse of your Mother in laws kitchen. We were able to go to Switzerland about eight years ago and I still remember riding a gondola and hearing the cow bells below us. Thanks for taking us along - it was so relaxing.
We used to have a saying when something seemed to be happening too slow…."not until the cows come home!"

I just loved this video and I know it is one I will return to and watch again and again like when I feel stressed and anxious and need calming down or can't sleep. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us. I'm not a great traveller but I've never before seen a place that made me say oh that place is as nice as here.. Ireland... even the flowers could be in our garden and Barney our spaniel thought he could help himself to the raspberries! I do think it is very well kept spick and span as my dear Mum would have said. The cows and goats were so charming and not usually a park person I felt I would like to be there and join in the fun on the swing boats and the round ones that seemed to be swirling and waltzing around in the water. I hope you and Patrick and Paten all enjoyed your time there very much and come home safe. We love you all..... Barney, our big Springer spaniel, William, my lovely kind brother and myself, Vera. ❤❤❤
