When I was little one of my first chores tasks was ironing the pillow cases and top sheets. I'm now 66 and I can still remember the fresh smell of the sheets off the line and how the heat of the iron would make it smell so good.

Oh Robin, I don’t even know where to start. This was such a fun video. The views and the videos of Switzerland were breathtaking. I bet you had to pinch yourself when you woke up in the morning to that view. Is that the house Patrick grew up in? And was that a reenactment of your proposal? It was so amazing that your whole family got to go. Now let me come down to earth after those cloud nine pictures. I’m sure that ironing your sheets and pillowcases adds a lot to your fresh made bed. And I absolutely love those bowls. So beautiful. The granola breakfast looked great. When I got home from church today I made myself a breakfast taco and there was enough to make five more for the week so I’m ready for breakfast. Thanks for theTip on peeling the peaches. I’ll definitely try that next time. And of course you have to have ice cream to go with peach cobbler. It’s a rule. I have had nowhere near that kind of summer you have. I stay in a lot in the summer because of the heat. I have tried to re-implement some things that have gone 0:02 money and I don’t think they will start work until another couple of weeks. I’m trying to be patient and I know God‘s timing is always right. Love in Christ
When I reread my comment I noticed something went haywire where it says 02 I meant to say that I have re-implementing some things I used to do that I’ve gone by the wayside. One is to tidy the house every night before bed and the other is to never leave the house without it being tidy. Then I was trying to tell you that I was still waiting on hurricane repairs even though I got the insurance money about a month ago I’m still waiting on contractors. Maybe that makes more sense when you put this together with my other comment I don’t know what happened to the first time
Of course, Patrick would marry her all over again, she’s a phenomenal human, mother and wife 👏

The chalet is one that we rented just for our stay in Switzerland this time. Patrick’s family home is in a different area - it’s the one I showed on our previous trip. And yes- that was where Patrick proposed (Gruyère) 🥰

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I have been to Switzerland twice to work but visited quite a bit back just in the 1980s. I recognized Gruyère right away. Some places I have never been. Such a beautiful country. Gives me the urge to visit again. Glad you had a good trip.

My mother, who used to be the Queen of Ironing, was surprised that I still iron my topsheet and pillowcases. I like them crisp when I am changing them. Ironing seems to be an enjoyable thing for me.

Perhaps you said and I missed it, but what were the temperatures like there? It certainly looked cooler than the last several weeks here in Georgia!

The temperatures were in the 70’s and 80’s most days and the nights were cooler and it was cooler in the higher elevations. Pretty much as perfect as the scenery! 😄

Such beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing! This heat and humidity has been keeping me inside more. We need rain again. I'm close to I-45 and Madisonville Texas. Grass has grown as well as the weeds . The garden is pretty wild. :) Trying to do some projects inside. Blessings.

Robin, thank you so much for sharing so many short videos. It is so beautiful there and I felt like I saw so much! I see so many similarities with the San Juan’s in Colorado where I grew up. I did visit North Carolina for the first time this summer. Wow! It was beautiful too. I now understand why people on the west coast tell me they would move there in a heart beat.

I also love granola with yogurt and berries for breakfast, but I tend to forget to make a new batch, and easily go back to the routine of simple toasts! 😒
You asked about our summer activities. Well, this year something unusual happened. In the beginning of July, when I was walking, one morning, I tripped suddenly on an old wire, firmly attached to an old post, that had got caught in my sandal without my knowing. I fell abruptly and I broke a finger in each hand and my left elbow. Needless to say that I cannot do much! Thankfully, my husband very kindly takes care of me! I feel thankful that the fractures are simple, if I can say that, and don’t require surgery. So my summer is very quiet, but still nice! God is present even, and maybe especially, in the midst of trying times, and this is my comfort!
I watched your video in two parts, and now I just finished watching the part of your trip to Switzerland. What beautiful scenery you showed us! I’m in awe of such beauty! You are really a talented filmmaker! Did we see, at the end, your husband proposing to you again? So romantic! Thank you for bringing us with you on your trip! God bless you and your family! 💕😍🌼

There's not words to describe Switzerland, it is so unreal

My grandparents immigrated from Switzerland when they were 17 years old. They actually married here in US. I just love seeing the areas of Switzerland that you film. Beautiful. I live in Wisconsin, Monroe, Cheese Capital of US. We dont live far from anew Glarus, known for many Swiss events going on during the yeer. Yodelfest, William Tell festival to name a few. Lorraine.

Beautiful sights in Switzerland. Great getting back into the rhythm of things. I didn't get the last job I applied or although I have experience in that area. I got a text that they offer free trade school training for women in West Virginia. I didn't realize that they were two different programs. One is StepUp Construction and one is StepUp Manufacturing. I meant to sign up for the Construction one, but mistakenly applied for the Manufacturing one. The interviewer from it referred me to PartnerUp which helps with barriers to goals. Also went to the Construction page and applied there. More skills mean more job opportunities and can use them at home especially since it seems to get features I want I'll have to build it. Lee said he would do it but he tends to be lazy unless it's a broken 4-wheeler, lawn mower, or weed eater. His inclination in Spring is to fish, in the Summer it is too hot, in the Fall it is to watch Football, and it's too cold in the Winter. I will do what I have to before I do my hobbies. Daniel was excited to start school again. Started on the 16th here. He entered the 9th grade which he should have last year. He made mostly a hundred percent in all classes except one wher he made eighty something percent. They wanted to keep him an additional year to prepare him for something different from the high school. He called me after school which he hasn't done for a few years. Still debating on a house just large enough for the three of us and one that has my dream pantry, a guest bedroom, a study that I can turn into a craft room, and a dining room I can turn into a gym.
