Great review!! Thanks for making!! I'm deciding for the first time whether to buy photochromic/Transitions lenses or not, and this is the first video I ran across and it was very helpful. Thanks!!
I just ordered a pair of transitions. The video is a good demonstration but i feel its still good to have a pair of prescription sun glasses. The transitions will serve me as a secondary choice of protection from the sun.
I'm 15 years old and I'm gonna wear transition glasses soon. I'm really worried that students would think I'm weird when I go out because I practically look like I'm wearing sunglasses IN SCHOOL. It really scares me.
I'm almost forty and I'm getting my first transition lenses in two weeks. I can't believe I didn't get them years ago. When I was at high school one of my teachers had brown transition lenses and he always looked like some mysterious celebrity for few minutes when he got inside the school. :) That's some seriously cool tech you know. Robert Downey Jr. uses them too so I think that transition lenses are freaking Iron Man cool.
I got transition lenses for my new glasses. I loose my sunglasses a lot, and rarely loose my glasses. My optometrist thinks I may have glaucoma in my right eye,and my left eye can’t read without glasses , so I always have them on.
James Lindsay mine are being done by vision express i am hoping they help with reflection as my current ones did not have it and I suffer huge reflection from my laptop or any glass based display one reason why I hate IPS monitors because they are actually quite cheaply made and its the glass front that makes it look better than it is.
Damn you must have a strong prescription for them to be 600-700 lol. I just ordered some with my eye doctor and they came out to 375. But I didn't get the anti reflective or anything just the transition. And I got a special transition that's supposed to work in the car so I'm hoping it does or else I paid the extra for nothing.
I have to decide today if I want transition lenses and I'm not sure if I really want them. I hear so much bad stuff about them like "it looks bad" and "you will never be able to wear normal glasses again because your eyes get used to the transition lenses"...
Very cool getting my first pair hopefulyl maybe today or this weekend or before next Wednesday cant wait to see clearly again. Ya my eyesight was getting pretty bad this past year. :(
Thanks for posting this video. It was really helpful. Almost two years later, do you see any degradation in the quality of your lenses or any delay in the time it takes to darken and brighten back up?
Vincent Vega I'm still using the same ones in this video & they work exactly that same. I've sat on them once or twice, so I'm going to get another set, one for work & one for personal use, but with the transitions they still work great & I highly recommend them
I had brown tint transition motorcycle sunglasses for over a decade and they showed no wear in the photochromatic department. I broke them when I sat on them. :)
MrWill1985 i just got new glasses there worth it mine are polycarbonate lenses but its similar to this transition helps alot totally worth it just get glasses that are comfortable
Give Me A Kookie Tae and Suga its a good idea to have anti glare especially if its a blue light anti glare its a extra bonus did not on have ethier on my current pair but my next set i am waiting on do have anti scratch, anti reflection inc anti glare but blue light is not a massive problem as there is programs to reduce color temp on pc's and android phones have had a blue light filter option for a while now.
producerboy29 with my insurance I only paid 2 hundred & something out of pocket. They told me without insurance it would have been 9 hundred & something. But I got every option available as well. Scratch resistant, impact resistance, etc..
I recently got some Tranistion lenses and I absolutely love them

So this glasses are both sunglasses and eyeglasses?
Yup. Cool right?
Jason Dang there is a dye that gets darker the more light there is
no, this doesn't replace sunglasses
there is a chemical reaction that transforms UV light into kinetic energy i think
yes it does replace sun glasses

Smoke weed it cures glaucoma
Very good review my friend!!!!
Im just waiting to pick up my prescription glasses with the reactive lenses due to my severe migraines. Hopefully they help.

Giovanni Prado do they work in the car?
Ordering them online Tommy Hilfiger only 240
@@pete86uk Not too well, car windows block a lot of UV radiation and that is what makes them work.

Sounds like BS...I've worn clear lenses after having transitions.
It sucks. I did it for two years and if you just want to see a dark clear day I highly recommend it.
Transition lenses turn yellow after you had them for more than a year
Josue rodriguez Thats what sunglasses do... if you didnt want that then you should not of had bought them
Niko not true i wear both and it's fine

My next pair of glasses are transitions lenses and I hope I dont encounter too many issues with them.

were they any good?
Ruben Huerta I love them. They darken based on how bright the sun is
Is it normal to have a slight grey tint even when not exposed to sunlight?
Where can I get these glasses. They're very 😎.
Someone answer this please
I'm looking for the model/frame number. I like the style of it
