Serena, I’m glad you came back and acknowledged that there were some serious issues that others experienced- especially the absurdly long line for food everywhere (fair faxe, the latin quarter, even The Brown Derby for many) With the party being only 4 hours and being let in only at 7, almost everyone else I watched seemed stressed and anxious (even if they were dressed up lovely) I felt bad for them! My husband and I are going to a party in December. I’m not disappointed but I AM adjusting my expectations and probably my game plan, too. Your review has been the most positive I’ve seen but it does seem like you had some pixie dust sprinkled on you. I’m glad you had a great time! I hope I will, too.
Yeah I would wait and see what the feedback is on Jollywood when it opens again to see if the feedback is good. But Very Merry is always such a solid event. 🤗
This was incredibly helpful, Serena! I’m headed to Jollywood this Saturday and I have a much better idea of what to expect. Life is all about expectations, isn’t it?! That said, this video was so well done. You’re right that you’re hitting your stride! Thanks so much!
The video quality is excellent and the transitions in this are amazing. Hats off to your team! To me, it’s very telling that the best part of the party for you was talking to the other guests. BUT. I will tell you rain hurts these things a lot. I went to MVMCP in the rain in 2019? And it was not ideal. So maybe on a not rainy day it would be improved.
Thanks for the review. Would this be a good way to get kids on rides at Hollywood? That is, were the lines for rides short? If we go on Holidays it will be a mess during the days.
The waits for all the rides were very low the whole night so it could definitely be used as mostly an after hours event with a ride focus. We’re actually considering going back to test that out. But if the wait times stay as low as they did the first night may be a great option.
99% of people online that I have seen said it went horribly wrong. Premixed drinks. 30 min lines for drinks. 30 min line just to get in. Influencers cutting in front of kids to meet characters. Just very poor planning and no thought into the customer experience.
Yeah I’ve read through the reviews and talked to other friends who were there. It so depends on what you did during the event. We focused on the shows and live music which went more smoothly and didn’t do much food or drinks aside from tip top club. The rest we did at the Brown Derby. And did no characters. So we just missed some of the parts that had the longest waits. Really hoping the wait times can be better going forward lots of that is logistics.
That’s what I heard as well for those that were inside the park. Entering from the main entrance seemed to go smooth. We picked up our bands from the event so didn’t do either option.
@@MichaelBrown-cb7bhthey gave us our bands at the media event so we didn’t use either the main entrance or the inside the park option this night. Some of our team got theirs at the main entrance and it was smooth for them. But it seems like the longest waits for definitely for those already in the park.
It can absolutely be adjusted to help with the crowd flows- but whether the value will be there for the ticket price still remains to be seen for me. Depends on just how much they can fix these issues. We need time to see and observing future parties.
Ha. I don’t think Disney cares about lines. What Disney “does” at Holidays is cram so many people in you can’t move. We have done it. Never again. I was hoping this would be around that. After looking at your review, I guess not. Thanks though.

Expectations is always key for something like this but I think by the time you go in December many of these issues will have been improved. ☺️
Thanks for sharing! So fun going along with you guys for this!🎉
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing Serena! ❤ Love your videos!!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the video. We are going Monday night after our weekend cruise on the Wish and I feel this really gives me some insight on what to expect.
You’re so welcome! Enjoy the party and your cruise! The Wish is so much fun!
Thank you for a helpful review!
Glad it was helpful!
Huge shoutout to your videographer and editor. They did a fantastic job. Thanks for doing a great review.
Aw thank you! He’s amazing. ☺️
I love your honest review!! Seriously debating going this year but idk if it’s my ish. Thinking of keeping my yearly MVMCP ticket instead!! ❤❤

The weather definitely didn’t help and shortened what we had time to see for sure.

I’m going to Very Merry on the 28th! Can’t wait! This party is not for me. Great Vlog Serena!
Have the best time! We have a video on Very Merry coming soon too 🤗
When you were in that nightmare before Christmas sing along did you hear anyone singing along with the songs?
Not really…? Not sure if that was just our show or not.
Can you get into the park early like with MVMCP?
The party ticket gets you in starting at 7pm with the event beginning at 8:30. So it’s a little early but not as early as you can with MVMCP

I heard getting in was a very very long wait for people. Did you have a different way to enter because of media pass?
That’s what I heard as well for those that were inside the park. Entering from the main entrance seemed to go smooth. We picked up our bands from the event so didn’t do either option.
50 mins to get our wrist band from inside the park.
@@livingbydisneycan you explain what you mean by picked up bands from event?

It's good you enjoyed it. However, let's be real... how much can they really "tweak" it? At this point it is what it is.
