As a retired freelance TV and film cameraman, I have to say I am very impressed by the high production values of your videos. The information they contain is clear and straight to the point. Keep it up.
I haven't been driving for over ten years and getting back into it. This was helpful. Apart from the fact you are driving in the wrong side of the road :D
I've been watching your videos and must say that it has helped me in every aspect of my driving. I think one of the reasons I passed my driving test first time was because of watching these videos made me feel confident. These videos have really taught me a lot. They are in detail and covers every subject of driving. Thank you very much
Thank you for this! The tip about braking or changing gears on corners is something I knew not to do but I didn’t know why, so that actually really helped me 😊
Thank you from Andalusia, Spain. Very helpful, though I am distracted by the green country roads and pretty, little village streets of the UK in this video!
Passed my test 14th march. 2 minors. Dont stress people its the easiest thing I’ve probably done. Went on a route I hadn’t covered in my lessons aswell. I had 4 2 hour lessons and passed first time.
this is the best channel for car driving by far. Please consider my little motivation and keep the energy on.....Thanks for Introducing responsible drivers to the world. Kudos from India.
Got to be honest, I love your videos it makes me even more confident as a learner driver. And I have my driving test within the three weeks and for me watching your videos it makes me confident. Thank you Advance Driving, school.
Thank you for giving too much stuff for learning I was watching from day first your Chanel videos you give me more stuff to learning then my instructor. I pass my exam with 3 minors. I will also keep watching your videos in future many thanks. any one who wanna learn how should to drive from A to Z keep watching of this beautiful and kind couples videos you can learn every thing.
I live in American and just have to pass my road test, im 21 but do have anxiety about it I'm not very confident. These videos are starting to help, im ready to get it done!
Nice very helpful , if will do any menovers like parller reverse parking, reverse bay parking and forward parking test time just when need to look car screen camera, will be fail test. Just when need look like 5-10 seconds or less like. Not keep continue. Just when need main think look
Excellent video. Everything done hands-on so it can be done visually instead of reading a handbook. If only some Irish drivers could follow this example, there would be fewer accidents on our roads. By the way, could you please send me a link for learning how to read other motorists body language when driving? Gregory Tobin
We have made a video about using our own road position correctly - perhaps this would show what to look for in other peoples driving. Signalling with our road position: ua-cam.com/video/FxhXX0EaI5Y/v-deo.html 👍🏼
I’m watching this because I hate driving. I only passed a couple of years ago at the age of 26 and I would advise anyone to pass as soon as you possibly can
Excellent video as always. Please don't take this the wrong way and perhaps it's jus the my perception but: 1. At around 1:46 when your instructor pulled away, did he actually also perform an over the shoulder check for blind spot? 2. At around 1:53, was it neccassary for the instructor to keep his hand on the gear lever for several seconds before changing gear? Could he have kept his left hand on the steering wheel longer and only moving it to the gear lever when ready to actually change gear, then immediately move his hand back to the steering wheel, thus minimizing the time with one handed steering?
Thanks for your comment. The clip you mention was taken from another video, and if you click this link ua-cam.com/video/rKqdFlzILZc/v-deo.html you can see that the blind spots were checked - but to save a little time on this video they weren't shown. At low speed there is no problem controlling the car with one hand - but once up to speed we try to use both hands wherever possible. 👍🏼
I only took my lessons for about 6 mths and not even every week last year then had tp stop in march 2020. We Also had a local lockdown leicester and iI had one lesson in October before we had another National lockdown in November. I am going to start my lessons again in May and my instructorwho has asked me to study again like I a beginner, so I am going to re-study the theory test even though I have passed it. Are there any other tips you can give to me as a learner driving taking lessons again after a long time. i always find all your videos very helpful. thanks Hina
I think that’s all you can do for now. I’m sure your instructor will start you off somewhere easy and go from there. You will probably be fine by the end of the first lesson 👍🏼 good luck!
Last clip, I may of beeped, to warn of my presence, the only reason I'd be hesitant is because I wouldn't want to scare the dog, the dog doesn't have a choice, silly owner.
Please could you help me with a roundabout question? My driving instructor doesn't seem to know and it is very frustrating. Here is an image imgur.com/a/DbQWiee. If I approach from 8 o clock and want to go 6 o clock. I could use the right hand lane but that would spit me out onto the overtaking lane when leaving the roundabout. Am I allowed to use the middle lane to go right even though it only has a forward arrow?
We would normally use the right lane on approach, and then change to the outer lane once our exit is next, so that we leave onto the left lane of the new road.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool I see, thank you! It is just I was always taught to try and avoid changing lanes on a big roundabout haha. What threw me off was that when you come from 11 o' clock going straight on 4 o'clock you can just go straight into the left lane.
If we find a spiral roundabout, then we can just follow one lane right to our exit - but on a normal roundabout we still need to change lanes for ourselves. The safest thing to do is obey any road markings, as they make our intentions clear to other road users. 👍🏼
These two videos might help: When To Change Gear: ua-cam.com/video/LQnnboLuO34/v-deo.html Flexible Gear Selection: ua-cam.com/video/0P2HmAC7tWU/v-deo.html Good luck!
I have been learning to drive since 4 years now, changed several instructors and learning automatic now but I still can't get to the safety margin to be test standard. What can I do?? :(
We would identify what needs to improve, and work on those areas one at a time. Try not to worry about how long it’s taking, just focus on improving your skills. Good luck 🤞🏼
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool thanks. My driving is good but I just keep making silly mistakes that result to be dangerous. I feel like, the more I practice the more I do over caution mistakes. But I will try to focus more on the weak areas, thanks!
In theory you could, but we probably wouldn't want to, so that we have more control over the car's speed. Perhaps it depends on the type of road you are on, and how bad the conditions are.
As long as there is no standing water then we should be fine. If we were to aquaplane then the car's traction and electronic stability control would react faster than we could in any case, so it's no problem to use cruise control in our opinion.
We prefer to wear shoes, but if you prefer driving barefoot then that's fine. It's allowed on the UK Driving Test - indeed we have had pupils pass their test driving without shoes. 👍🏼
We just didn't show them on this video, to save time. That video clip was taken from an earlier video, and you can see the blind spot checks were carried out here: ua-cam.com/video/rKqdFlzILZc/v-deo.html
