    Hey my friend!
    Just wanted to let you know you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I trust that you’ve had a great summer and harvest. I have no doubt that you’re burning your candle at both ends. I miss seeing you guys. I’m not spending much time on UA-cam these days either. Oh well … y’all take care and give my best to Jessica.

      Hey bud, hope all is well. Summer was great and the harvest was really good. Even though it was very dry this year. Just finished building our 2nd chicken coop. We miss you to man. Sorry I am not on here as much either. As you can see in the lack of videos. Really focusing on work here at the farm and in my job for the most part. Hope you and the family are doing well. Feel free to text or call anytime. Always love hearing from you in any way possible.

    This is an improved garden from last year. Love the gates! The way you've placed the watermelons shows what you've learned about growing them. With that woven fabric there it'll be a much more beautiful garden, and easier to maintain than before too. Great job William, you and Jessica are rocking it! :)

      Thanks man. AInt going to lie the gates are all Jessica. She is has gotten insane good with woodworking. Hoping the watermelons take off. Can't wait to eat them all summer long. lol Hope you and Debbie are doing good and are close to having that house on the market. Thanks for watching bro.

      Thanks for watching Dee. Yeah we are very excited about the garden this year. Hoping it does well. Salsa is for sure on our list to make this year. We tend to can a ton of stuff. Still have a few cans of tomato's from last year. Still a long way to go and tons to learn but that is what makes it fun. Thanks for the support. Hope all is going well.

      Hey y'all, hope your travels are going well. Saving is what it's all about anymore. Can't afford nothing. lol I think we have our size figured out now but I would guess stuff will change out every year now on what we have. Yes the weed pulling sucks. I aint made for work like that. lol I have never been able to eat corn. My whole family loves it. I am tomato man. Will try some though that we grow just to see. Strawberries we agree on. Those are some of my favorite. I eat some almost everyday. Next time y'all are up this way maybe we will have some stuff for you to taste test for us. Plus we want to meet the new pup.

    WOW! Thats a big garden…. Chickens scratching the surface of it is a great idea. This is why I only eat left legs. Chickens are predominantly right legged so the meat is tougher…..Now there are a lot of places that make millions on selling weed stuff so dont be so fast to get rid of them.🙃. A lot of tomatoes 🍅 they are good to eat. Now back in the day before toilet paper they used corn husk to wipe themselves . Cause it cleaned, scratched and groomed at the same time. I love jalapeños but they don’t like me. They make a extremely bad exit. Yeah not good! Oh and if you feed corn to chickens, thats how you get Cornish hens. Now Nette makes a amazing cucumber salad we love cucumbers. Love me some watermelon and cantaloupe for sure especially with some salt. Great job you two absolutely amazing. Be safe friends.👍🙏👏🤗❤️

    • @SmallSpaceLiving
      @SmallSpaceLiving  Рік тому +1

      Thanks y'all. We are trying. If I could get Jessica to do any work we would be good. lol LOL on the chicken legs. I love it all. That is true on the weeds. We just don't have the right ones for that. I figure if we did more people would visit. lol Ha on the corn. I will do a hard pass on that. I don't have much but want to keep what I got. I am not a fan of the jalapeños. I did try them last year and they set me on fire. lol I am weak. I love cucumbers. I will eat them in about anything or just plain with some salt. For sure on the cantaloupe as well. Thanks for the support y'all. Hope you are doing well.

      Thanks y'all. It has been a task for sure to get it setup how we want it. Hoping to be able to have a lot of food for us and sell some on the side as we can. Already saw a couple snakes this year. Nothing a shovel did not handle though. lol When y'all come down maybe the berries will be in and y'all can pick you some. We have several patches of them. Might even have some grapes this year.

      Thanks, my friend. We doing fine for a couple old folks.
      Sue had a bad fall a couple months ago but is healing up quite well now. I've been on nurse duty 24/7 since then, so I don't get out and play much these days. But we are very thankful to God for sparing her life. She could have died when she fell off the porch into a rock garden and impaled her leg with a broken lamp pole. She was alone at home and lay there for over an hour, bleeding and screaming for help till I got home and called the ambulance. I'm getting pretty good at wound care and she is being a good patient.
      You guys be careful because life can turn on a dime and then everything changes. For us, the only sure and constant thing in life is the Solid Rock and Anchor of our very soul, Jesus Christ, and though I have stumbled often, He has never let me down.
      Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing some of your produce and I hope your veggie stand does well too. I'll try to keep in touch. Stay cool my friend.

      @@JurgensJourneys Sorry to hear about Sue's bad fall. Hope she is getting much better. You are correct on life. Nothing hits harder. I will have my dad add y'all to the prayer list at church. Thanks my friend. Sue had checkups yesterday and today. They are very pleased with her progress. We are doing well and our son is moving closer to help. Who knows, we might still get to use our camper again. 😂 We always appreciate the prayers of others as we are always praying for our friends and family. I have a few cucumber 🥒 plants as well as some tomatoes 🍅 . Just potted plants mostly. One pepper 🫑 and Sue’s flowers 🌺. That’s all I can handle for now. Her only bunny 🐰 died a week ago but I don’t think I want any more critters. It’s just too hard to pick up and go when you have animals. I’m still hoping to travel again sometime. Till then, you guys take care.

    Nice gate! Way to save a nice chunk of change. Wow! Great sized garden! Double gate looks good too. Way to plan ahead for upcoming tractor or whatever you get. I love the ground cover to stop weeds. I’m still going with my container garden. But lost a few things and had some others not looking healthy. Think all my strawberries are gonna die out. Jessie read an article that people were complaining about the Walmart strawberry roots this year. Guess I got bad ones too 😔. My potatoes appear to be doing very well. But not sure this next week. We’re supposed to get a crap ton of rain 🙄. Loving the cattle panel idea for the tomatoes. That’s really smart. Oh man I love corn on the cob! Aww I so hope my jalapeños grow. You do a vegetable stand? That’s pretty cool. Eww I don’t like cucumbers. I would make pickles, but I’m not ready to jump into that kind of work lol. Don’t like cantaloupe either. Oh see I had my strawberries outside. Brought them in and they didn’t seem to like that so put them back out, but they didn’t like that either. Mmm blackberries! Make some blackberry jam ❤. Such a nice garden. Thanks for showing us!

    • @SmallSpaceLiving

      Thanks y'all. Jessica gets the credit for the gates. He woodworking is amazing now. I am jealous. I really want a 4 wheeler with a pull behind tiler. That way when not using it for work I can use it for play. lol Weed pulling sucks. Not a fan. I am to lazy. Losing stuff happens. Just stick with it and learn what works best for you and your setup. We are still learning new stuff everyday. We are in need of rain. Send it this way. hahaha Yes the cattle panels are much better than the wire. We will be going to only those over time. If we ever get y'all down here we will hook you up with berries and corn. Even jalapeños since you like them. We are going to start the stand this year if we get enough food and eggs. Hoping it works out. Strawberries are hard to grow. We struggle with them as well. We have so many plants going this year hope some of them stick. lol Thanks for watching y'all and as always the support.
