I not only would have love to have seen Bro Malcolm at this table, but also imagine if Dr. King and Jackie Robinson (who many tend to forget, that he also fought for civil rights). What a meeting of the minds that would have been. It would have been broadcast across the world. The issues of 50 years, 60, 70 years still need to be understood and resolved.
@bigchief329 I totally agree!! I am embarrassed to say that I didn't know about this blessed, eye-opening, incredibly strong, nationally televised roundtable. But I am so thankful that I came across the videos, and am watching the whole series back to back!! I am truly inspired and strengthened by all of this group of FABULOUS leaders!! God Bless them all, God Bless President Obama, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
Dr. Walters is right. Especially when he said that Obama confused the issue. It says a lot about Obama. Think. I know that I'm all over this thread and i apologize, but this issue has my heart--and everything is type is sincerely from the heart
@TheAfterLifeNow That may have sounded fly in your current private consciousness, but since you decided to pose the question and assert your position of being 'beyond' it please elaborate. This isn't 'e-Thug' nonsense either...no hostility...you don't owe me anything, but I as a person considering how I can embody "Black Power" in the most eloquent, authentic, and impactful way in the public arena, I just like to peek inside the minds to grasp the pathological bread crumbs so to speak
"I love black people" Louis please! How you going to tell us you love black people when you didn't love Malcolm X? Tavis, did you really need to invite this man to tell you why he kept his mouth almost shut? Maybe the real reason Louis kept quiet is that he knew Obama wouldn't accept his endorsement anyway? After all the President does rate Malcolm as one of his heroes.
Thank you for posting all of theses videos. It is really important that we as black watch and listen to programs that raise our consciousness.
This man is exactly RIGHT!!!!!

Absolutely, Governors denied the funds...it should have came directly down without their approvals...and city councils have to be fair
