Im white and im very glad that i saw this whole thing. its opened my eyes up to many things and i have a ton of respect for what is being done at that table
dialog, I think, dear Sister Carla, helps to ensure we "do something" clearly and collectivly, i agree with you however, that there comes a time to end the talk and to act, but we are still splintered in how to go about getting what we need to be done, ergo, the talk continues to achieve not complete but greater unity,
I've never been a fan of President Obama, but I applaud Ms. Blackwell for standing up to what she believes. It took a lot of courage to rock the boat... to go against this angry crowd. I also thank her for informing us on what our President has done. He has done some things, thank God!
@CarlaMills why you not at the table wat have you done to make a change in your community. First start with yourself helping make a change with our people then ask were everyone else is
Travis really has this thing about making these big shows and then getting uppity about the Admin not being able to come to HIM. Sharpton didn't make it to this because Smilely just suddenly dropped the date on him before consulting him.
@CarlaMills I hear you sis, but what exactly isn't getting done and WHO is really responsible? The people at the table have children, employees, mentees, and peers that can testify to their contribution and Work..."We as Black People" need to stop talking about people talking and listen to the message and apply it. If you can't listen to elders and true servants speak on our communities ailments and cures and move with it, then it isn't "we as black people" its "You as an Individual" in question
@djshawtyg maybe we as average Americans are to busy trying to find a job to put food on our tables for our families. We dont have TV coverage in our faces so what Carla Mills says makes perfect sense to me and shes 100% right! What are you doing for this subject DJSHAWTY?? contributing to the negative stereotype of black people by "DJing" todays "hip hop"??? That is what most "DJ"s do now isnt it. You dont know what shes doing maybe she has a small business. So spare us your rant.
"If the price of admission to the party is the denial of my body, I'm paying too high of a price." PREACH YOU BRILLIANT BROTHER

@CarlaMills Not to disagree but the reason we have these kinds of talks is to have an agenda to begin to carry out. I think we need to talk and do.

@sbasta, too much competition, lol
@sbasta
biggest talker.
Tavis is so full of himself! He 'commands' the president be at HIS beck and call!??
Root cause analysis....no follow through.
Farrakhan is an egomaniac...he starts every question talking about himself
