Mike your shirt says Master Plumber, I think that's an understatement.
you keep me going, after all these years I'm re-invigorated again about my trade
Thank You
Great job on the new air valve mikey...gettin it DONE!
Good info here. Kroil is good penetrant, much better than Liquid Wrench. PB Blaster is pretty good also. A lot of people like 50/50 acetone and ATF.
I’ve been using liquid wrench since this project farm video 4 years ago. ua-cam.com/video/xUEob2oAKVs/v-deo.html
“Making the trades good again” yessir we keep the country running.
its crazy that you're still out there getting your hands dirty. my boss is always on vacation in costa rica lol.
Mikey….Do you realize that the number of subscribers you have now could fill up CitiField to capacity 3 times! Congrats!!!!!
a few things, in 1978 working in Boston, we gutted a burnt out condo that was steam heat. The fittings were cast iron just like those are (thick shoulder) and we would back up the fitting with an 8LB sledge hammer and smash them to pieces with a single blow of a 2LB hammer...done, secondly, that main steam vent was not located properly IAW Dan Holohan, it should have been 15" back and 6" up on a riser, that "BULLHEAD TEE" may kill the vent after the first pass, according to Dan. Then insulation is vital to keep dry steam. just an observance because I know you are familiar with his steam practices.
Send the drill in for repair Milwaukee will take care of it
The vet feeder locks out after so many gallons put in. Now the 101 feeder was horrible. But if you can still walk feed boiler yourself.
Never seen anybody smoke an M18 drill by milwaukee lol, i did smoke a M12 though with a 2 inch hole saw.
It's not from the brushless fuel line. It looks like either an older model, or one of the cheaper models for homeowners.
@@Jason-wc3fh yeah def not FUEL, its a brush motor but even the lower end model should be able to run that reemer
I hate to ask this, it makes me feel like a jerk, but I just have to ask. Near the end of the video you are showing one of your Stickers you put on the Water heater. I noticed that your sticker is covering over a Manufacturer's Sticker on the Water Heater. Is that okay?
Hi Guys
That thing is smoking like Cheech and Chong
umm, how do you expect there to be negative pressure on that side of the large open draft hood, in overtop sections/burners? it should pretty much be zero there.
now on the other side at flue pipe/damper, that for sure has to be negative or you'd get spill-out from the hood.
unless I missed you moving the wand for draft test, maybe a brain fart day? 🤪 we all have them.
What happened to Mike ? This guy has to be an impostor . Now I'm not complaining by keeping it family friendly it will help in getting subscribers .
Let me watch the house for you.
Are you going to replace mikes drill or are they already supplied by your company? Great vid 👍🏼
@@PipeDoctor He probably going to upgrade to a M18 FUEL lol
it amazes me how people neglect their investments that make life comfortable until they dont have hot water or heat. every time i do laundry, i give the boiler and hot water heater a look over. i never used to pay attention to my heating equipment until i started watching plumbers on yt and seen how much neglecting things can cost when its so easy to upkeep with a little maintenance.
They have heat in the basement 😂
248 thumbs up
What grinder blades do you use that do not explode. BTW you had a hot chick on the cover of the video but not one actually in the video, could I get a refund ;) BTW hint on gloves, double up so when the outer tears they are easier to change with no moisture on your hands, just change the outer.
100 percent complete combustion would mean an o2 reading of zero
Who’s the woman?
It's his daughter. Now that she's old enough, she's the eye candy and clickbait used in his videos.
You smoked your drill bro!! Wtf!! Slip coupling?
good thing no smoke detector down there lmao smoked an M18
Those VXT’s are good for the lazy or infirmed…….people should take interest in their Home heating system and proactively check water levels for the proper functionality of their unit. Especially a Steamer!
Great work as always, Mikey!
you ever tried melting wax into rusted threads? I have had good luck with it actually penetrating
wow what an idea. Something so common that it's available anywhere without a special trip. Amazing.
Im cleaning and moving stuff as i type this. Plus listening to MMA on ESPN.
I dont know what to say or how to thank you. April is autism awareness month too! IDK if you knew that! How crazy is this that the FIRST BUSINESS DAY OF THE MONTH OF APRIL YOU DO A SYSTEM FOR ME - someone who has had lifetime autism/aspergers (what they used to call level 1 autism). I am mind blown. Months of hell lead to this, months of suffering mentally from moms death. I honestly dont know how i did it.
Im so excited. ALL LOVE!
Mike, where do you order your steam main insulation from?
Mike seems like he is a good worker for you. Nice job guys.
Haha I had that same drill do the same thing, I had to core 3 and 4 inch holes for a sub division of like 25 houses and eventually it literally caught on fire on me and started smokin just like that. Good shit lmao, thanks for sharing.
yeah cordless has a tendency to overheat under extreme circumstances like that.
@@Lewdacris916 Yea I eventually switched over to the Milwaukee thats made for coring holes, one that you plug into 110. Works great, still gotta be careful, thing will break your wrist real quick lmao
@@Threee_Eyez lol yeah ive used one of those before the hole hog, ive got the 1 inch SDS roto hammer that works well for coring cement or cinderblock
Wouldn't it be worse to allow the boiler to run dry?
low water cutoff would prevent that from happening
Typical Milwaukee 😂😂
Going way too fast with the reamer. And kroil is way overpriced for what it is. Sea foam deep creep is better and cheaper.
Keep up the good work. God bless you and everyone who is helping. Make the trades Great again. #LetsGoBosch #LoveBosch
the all new, Milwaukee M18 "Dragon Edition", it breathes smoke. 🤣😏
Playing the game of finding the weakest link. Us auto guys in rust belt play that game with brake lines
Mikey FUCKEN pipes!!!!!!!
Kroil is the best penetrating oil I ever used better than all the rest .
Crack that cast iron.
I don’t think make up air is the issue
Should be 0.02 to 0.04”we neg
😐👍🏻🍺🇺🇲
I smell it 🔥☄️🧯
Wow…Team Red R.I.P. 😢
Right in the bucket
Can you do a video about the ban on fuel burning appliances in NYS and soon to be nationwide?
I can’t even imagine the cost to fire a steam boiler using electricity!!!!
In Utica NY they are renovating a large, very old, apartment building using only ELECTRIC!
It’s re… (mentally challenged) idea!!!
If it’s inverter heat pump then it makes sense because it’s just so so so incredibly much more efficient than anything else. Will it last? Probably not.
Glad we don,t have domestic steam boilers in UK
You have high efficiency boilers that last a max of 10 years lol
Could that technically be called a bucket of steam 😂😂😂
So crazy I commented before seeing the repair, I made almost the same exact repair today on appx 7.25’ of 2” steam pipe in a very nice woman’s basement. I also replaced 4 steam main vents that were miss placed at the drops from the dry returns just like at this house, small world Sr. Pipes, lets make this ish great again:)
Hello Mike,
You make mention of the poor or non existent draft as a combustion air problem which it could be, but I believe you would have seen it in your combustion analysis, this can be a chimney issue with poor draft. We’re making the trades great again. Another great educational video.
Would cracking the basement window open ensure you see negative draft on the testo? I never tried it. Great video
Are the automatic feeders bad for non-steam boilers too?
Nice looking picture
You need a place in President Trump's new administration which is about to begin at any moment. Be tough but be thorough; don't ever guess about the enemy because they are now all known and testing is no longer required.
