CHVRCHES never miss and have a really deep catalog even beyond their studio albums, tons of b-sides and covers! They have a new single coming out soon that is a left over from Screen Violence that didn't fit with the horror theme and the early teases are such an earworm I hope for them it blows up this year to give them a boost while they work on their next album!
Been a Chvrches fan since the very beginning, but Screen Violence has a special place in my heart and became my favorite album of theirs. So glad your friend liked it. Are you going to show him the other albums as well? That would be cool to have him listen to Bones.
Great video. There are so many parts on this album that makes the hair on my neck stand up! Awesome album. Incredible band. Lyrics, synths, melodies and beats . Lauren's vocals and songwriting work so well with the epic synths here.
Great to see some Chvrches. I really like this album but I'm sure Zach would love to listen to every open eye, this album is a masterpiece of production and songwriting!
@@WaveReact You both got some great stuff up your sleeves. I love the song they did for the video game Mirror's Edge Catalyst, one that not everyone knows about.
You must've shown your friend the best Chvrches songs like 'Over', 'Forever', 'leave a trace', 'killer', 'the mother we share', 'Death stranding', 'Screaming'.
California was meant to be about "ambition to a fault", according to Mayberry. Though she says that it actually played into reality as they were working on the album during the Pandemic, so some of the lines in it really hit home with an element of unintended realism.
good stuff gentlemen. i totally slept on chvrches for years, but dove in headfirst with screen violence….. it seems you are both in the deep end as well! nightmares is killer!
my favorite is final girl, I loved the full project, my favorite album of them is still every open eye. please do more another of Ellie!! ✨️💫✨️💛 like an album reaction she has 4 albums and her fifth is coming March 24, please!! 💛💛
If you like horror movies and CHVRCHES, then hopefully you've found their killer cover of "Cry Little Sister" from "the Lost Boys". The CHVRCHES version is in the soundtrack to the Netflix movie "Nightbooks".
I'm glad he liked the latest Chvrches album. Their entire discography is solid. On a side note, I suggest to listen and react to the album Witching Hour by Ladytron. It's an underrated synthpop/new wave/dream pop masterpiece.
Lauren is an outspoken feminist and has been subjected to a lot of online sexual harassment and bullying as a result. With that context it's very easy to see that the concept of the album as a whole, and specific songs like Final Girl and Good Girls are written from that perspective.
CHVRCHES had a hard time to find himselfs as artists and how to put it for us... They've evolved soo much in a couple years. (thats really fast btw) Tho, still the acoustic versions, hits harder... ALOT. hahaha Thanks for the vídeo, love the format that u guys have. Nice job, really.
Chvrches is already one of the best bands of synth pop of history.
So true! As a huge fan of horror movies and synth music I really enjoyed this. -Zach

Very nice!
Final Girl is a reference to horror films where there is a trend of having the last survivor of a slasher killer be the female lead.
I'm obsessed with this album. From start to finish, not a skippable song.
Agreed!

As a big fan of horror movies, listening to this was a real treat! We plan on going through some other albums. -Zach
This album is good, but not as good as their album the bones of what you believe imo
@@ytramsmp I love Bones, it's very nostalgic to me. Screen Violence just has the amount of darkness that I love and it captured my heart.
@@ytramsmp It's even better.
@@whentheworldwasatwar8717 maybe you're right. Have a terrific day!

Screen Violence became my favorite CHVRCHES album pretty quickly, but the b-sides from it are even better!
Thanks for listening with us!
Great to see some Chvrches.
I really like this album but I'm sure Zach would love to listen to every open eye, this album is a masterpiece of production and songwriting!
Ryan never fails to impress me with his picks. Always fresh and right up my alley. -Zach

@@Bebealc Thanks! Just checked that out, it’s dope! -Ryan
OMG Mirror's Edge makes me think of Solar Fields. What an experience that artist is.
Best band of all time in my eyes
I'm so glad I came across you guys. I'm a huge CHVRCHES fan (have all of their albums), so I'm super keen to see you delve into more of their work.
Stoked to show Zach more! Thanks for watching!
@@WaveReact No problem! Happy to be here!

We did react to Over on here but yes there is more to show him! Thanks for listening with us!
Screaming is the most superior song in Chvrches. Its so good it feels too short :'( (btw not sure why it didnt make it in the original basic album)
I think this is the best album of this century. (including the 3 extra songs).
there's a B-side track to this album called "Bitter End". scope it out
ah, thank you! -zach
CHVRCHES are on whole other level

Ah interesting. Thanks for sharing and for listening with us!
It really is a fantastic album. Such a different direction from Love Is Dead, as well.
Just full of talent
This is really great! Makes me appreciate an amazing album even more!
Thank you!!

Left Guy (Sorry, didn't got the names right... yet) vibing on air drumming, it reminded me of Lauren on stage. hahaha
Haha that would be me! I am good at pretending to play but have no real skill -Ryan
Lauren used to play drums
Yep, I know, dont know how I know but I know. hahaha
Chvrches are my fave modern group. They are f#%%%$^ AWESOME.
yes and this album is a banger! we need to bring more from them to the channel -Ryan
They actually have a collaboration with Carpenter. Turning the bones.

No matter who you are, harassment and bullying is not the way to get one's point across. Glad Laurens doing good

Love your reactions. But you totally missed what some of these songs are actually about. Final Girl was about a serial killer
Yeah, in hindsight I should have researched it more but was excited to show Zach that week. Thanks for the info and for listening with us!
