Once you learn it at x.75 normal speed seems fucking impossible, I can't believe the man plays it live, with lights, heat, and hundreds of people watching and expecting him to fail. It's just insanity. So you, my friend, have all my respect, it was a flawless job.
Ahhh the good old days of busting my butt and bloodining my fingers for months trying to nail this song in the 80s..since u tube came out, now it only takes dudes weeks to learn..🤣🤣👏👏
That was flawless, but watching this was also quite sad as it reminds you of how good Yngwie used to be, he hasn't come up with a solo as musically brilliant as this in years
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight - with that said... Odyssey, Eclipse, Seventh Sign, and Attack had some great solos on them as well. And some believe that the Concerto album is his crowning achievement, with some of his best playing. Yngwie has written a lot of great stuff over the years. Cheers
@@epic103 His concerto album was the last good thing he did. It was also around 10 years after his accident. I don't think the accident totally ruined his playing, he regained it but he probably lost it again due to laziness and no longer feeling the need to practice.
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight Of course his playing deteriorating is not just due to the accident. He played technically even after, but he no longer composed such great songs and solos. And also his sound got worse for no reason. I mean he is now using tonnes of delay and reverb. In the older years his sound was just great without any special pedals, pickups, signature model etc
@@nikosalexopoulos6542 The new YJM fury pickups are great but they get lost more easily in the mix. Maybe the problem is also that he mixes his own tracks.
Would you mind sharing which Dimarzio you use in the middle and neck position? I have Dimarzio sds1 in several guitars and they are a fabulous pickup but the problem is they are true single coil. They are quite loud with the hum. Your tone in these videos is so excellent.
Thanks. The Neck single was either a Fender stock or DImarzio virtual solo, cant remember now. The middle is always disconnected. The singles are indeed noisy but I feel the tone is worth it, just use a gate. Or maybe try the old FS-1 (norum), as I remember they were fairly quiet pickups.
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight I love love love the sds1. I just play more gain than I should and I don’t like noise gates because I’m too impatient to get them to do what they need to do without altering my tone in a way that upsets my ears. I’m not a huge fan of the middle position but I bought the sds1 because Jake e Lee uses them. I’m just shopping around. Hopefully I figure out the tone circus before I get myself in a tailspin. Your channel though…your tone is spot on. Your playing is so clear and articulate. I understand there’s a bit of production and I read that you transcribe etc. but at the same time, the tone is still tone. The feel is still feel. You take my favorite guitars (s) style and you absolutely rule the day. Love the channel/content/and all things in between. Greetings from Pennsylvania, USA.

Dude, could you have said it any better? EXACTLY!
Great job covering this one. This was Yngwie in his prime
Indeed

Agreed. The golden years was before the accident, no doubt about that. That level of musicality will never be equaled as far as I'm concerned.

Wow that’s very clean… reminds me of better days when I was learning this from vinyl
The good old days of vinyl ... crackles and pops everywhere. I do miss tapes though.
Better days of Yngwie @@ClassicSoloSpotlight
Outstanding!
This is one of Yngwie's best solos!
One of my all time favourites from the classic years.
Awesome. This was always one of my favorite guitar solos by him. Well done !!!
Thank you. One of my favorites too.
Brilliant, outstanding performance.
Amazing take Peter, and thank you for the great transcription work all this years.
Thank you for the kind words Sebastian.
Anyone with the skills and balls to cover this is a monster

excellent performance. this solo is a good chop builder!
Thanks, it sure is!
fuaaaaa amigo! genio!
0:28-0:32 always sounded like Holdsworth to me. Great stuff as usual from you!
You're exactly right, the early albums had some very lyrical Holdsworth phrasing.
Excellent...❤❤❤
Impressive!!
Perfect
Excellent !
You killed it man, you re so clean!
Thank you, I appreciate the comment.
You are the best!
Thank you sir
Dude that was excellent!
Perfect!!!
💥🔥 Yngwie Best of the Best. 💥🔥🎸🎸🎸🎸🎼🎶🎶🎶🎶🎼
God damn dude! Great work
Awesome!!! Flawless 🎸 what gauge strings do you use ?
Thank you very much. I use standard 09-42 gauge, Fender original bullets.
1980s Yngwie stuff was way better than his modern stuff which just all sounds the same to my ears.
Very true.

Very cool
Thank you!
Awesome!
Thank you!
OMG 😱😱😱😱
Very nice.
Glad you liked it!
Awesome playing 💪🏻👍🏻 i bet that would sound even better with some reverb and delay
Thanks. Yeah, I try to keep it dry since the original is already bathing in reverb ;-)
Sir, you deserve more views, i hate solo covers usually, always inaccurate or with a not fitting tone...but you were just perfect
Like YJM was playing this, bravo!
Great!!
Great, perfect! Tabs, please!?

Oh yeah man!!! Congrats!!! 👊 What is the bridge pickup?
Thanks! The bridge pickup is a DImarzio Pro Track.

Were you the one who first started to transcribe these old shred classics like cacophony etc? I remember you from way over ten years ago if so :)
amazing cover man, one of yngwies best, which dimarzio pickups are you using in your strat btw?
The same as always, the Pro track. Necks are always singles, I like virtual solo.
🥰🥰🥰
Kick Ass 🙌
Thank you!
Oh shit , very accurate
First song I jeard of his
👍👍👍👍
JEEZUS
Good job! Please use my Malmsteen backing tracks! I have plenty if Yngwie's songs with vocals.
Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out.
What kind of string gauge are you using here?
9-42's, Fender regular bullets.
Do you play completely by ear
Yes.
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight but I assume you know music theory and stuff like that
@@theYuGiOhseasonzeroguy Of course.
