You say that neither of your animals were at risk. Are you sure? That cat was playing with the dangerous end. When ever I am out with my herp society educating people about large constrictors and I'm letting someone interact with big boas, they always want to pet the butt while I hold the head away. They feel comfortable but as they are done I always remind them: "I may have the sharp end, but you have the truly dangerous end: the stinky one."
That Girl With Snakes A member of a boa forum that I'm a part of recently went away on a weekend trip and came back to an adult boa poo (about 1 pound of poo) and an overturned water bowl. That is how people lose their sense of smell. lol
I have had that exact thing happen to me as well. No telling if he'd done it the moment I left 3 days earlier, or ten minutes before I checked on him. But the smell haunts my dreams. ;)
Just wanted to say that I LOVE your videos... Especially the one of the dog walk... My wife and I have a red tail boa and she's perfect... Plus she's great around our baby daughter...
Hey super fast question sorry it has nothing to do with this video but it's a question I can't find the answer to I have a red tail boa she is still small like a foot or so and she is going into shed eyes are blue skin is blue and she wend into her water bowl and has been in there almost a full day is that normal also I love the videos keep it up I learn so much
Your humidity in the enclosure may be low and the water dish would then be the best source of moisture for her before the shed. Just make sure you do not see any black specks floating in the water, which would point to mites. If there's no mites, just try misting the enclosure once a day (lightly) and I'm sure once she sheds she'll be out of that water dish.
Oh my god. You should NEVER, NEVER EVER let a cat be near a snake. For the SNAKES safety. Not the cats. Cat claws carry gram negative bacteria. scratches on snakes from cats will absolutely get infected and kill them easily. This is so terribly negligent, you should remove this video. The amount of people watching this who think this is ok and even cute is disgusting. Absolutely disgraceful as a snake owner.
@@copeifier1686 really? Caring about an animals safety is being a Karen now? Cats scratch all the time by accident. My cat scratches me just by hitting me with his paw, even when his claws have recently been trimmed. Being concerned about the welfare of animal shouldn't make someone a Karen.
@@copeifier1686 I'd rather not make the assumption that the cat is declawed, and even if it is, this causes uneccassary stress to the snake. They are not social creatures. The snake is not enjoying or "playing" with the cat.
A few years late but couldn't a ball python kill a cat if it wanted? I know it's a docile snake but what if it felt threatened then latched onto the cat it would be game over...
I have just watched all your video's and loved them all. I have 5 ball pythons which can be seen on my instagram account martindixon1211, including a blue eyed lucy and he is gorgeous. Please keep the vids coming.
Love your videos, love your snakes, but I really get nervous when I see your snakes and cats interacting. For this reason, thumbs down on this type of content, sorry!
Abigail loves her snakeys! She is a gorgeous kitty.

I'd take a snake bite than getting pooped on any day. What a horrific smell!

Totally normal, the water helps the skin become more hydrated so the shed is easier on her. Glad you like the videos :)
That Girl With Snakes hey sorry to bug you again but is 3 days still ok

No, but the cat ?
bive had many pythons before , the cat could easily injure and kill a ball python. but they are both beautiful animals
