Eddie Vedder played the commodore in Vancouver as a back up band for SoundGarden, the first time I saw a mosh pit, and crowdsurfed was that event. Grunge music was hard to define to how different it appeared it’s in era. It wasn’t anything else, it was a voice for flannel, torn knee in denim jeans and the unconventional soul who needed to just be whoever they were. What’s so interesting to me is Sean Penn whose 2nd role in playing Spicoli, was the kind of kid who would have loved pearl jam to surf to but the movie pre-ceded the band. Yet serendipitously or synchronicity brought the creative talent of Penn and Vedder together to bring this story out in a profound and proper way. Emile Hirsch does a captivating job of showing the freedom of American nature, weaving the story of how literature, meaning and purpose intersect with will, drive and intention to manifest an adventure in being alive. I think this is a multi dimensional film, which the experience of Penn as a life experiencer, and vedder as a music cultural shift lottery winner have done unspeakable gratitude to the sensitivity of this film, it’s storytelling and it’s stunning landscapes in a way that hopefully lends itself to healing the tragedy for the family, bringing lessons to the audience and helping those sitting on the fence to take action in their lives on some topic whether mowing the lawn, or climbing Mr Everest to dig up the stuff courage is made of to take the first steps. “i’d rather not analyze it for anyone I’d rather they just go see it..” (Sean Penn).
For those who this story resonates with, it will shift your perspective, cause you to dream, and inspire you to become more like your soul. Evin.

Strange to say! Since adolescence, I have been focusing on "falling in love" in my life. After I was in my thirties, I began to realize that single life is actually good! Even I am surprised that, as a single person, I feel more comfortable to "appreciate women" recently!
