Cockney Rebel were an incredibly talented band, full of fantastic musicians their drummer Simon Fox went on to drum in the criminaly underrated Be Bop Deluxe. Their "Human Menagerie "album is a classic which really is worth checking out for its eclectic mix of songs...."Sebastian" being an evocative masterpiece. Steve Harley is still treading the boards......I saw him on a solo tour a couple of years ago at an intimate venue.... just him on guitar and and a guy on electric violin. .......he was amazing.......Cockney Rebel are well worth investigating.
    Great pick👍👍

You are right about Be Bop Deluxe being criminally underrated. Bill Nelson should be mentioned with the heavyweights.

Yeah, I really like this group and definately want to hear more of them. We have to find something to fill our Sunday nights after the Holiday's so we might just do something like checking into some underrated bands, like this one. Loved It!

Thank you I was just saying to another subscriber that we would love to hear some of the Australian Artists, there are many of us on the channel that have been turned on to some of those artists and we are wanting to hear more. Some just didn't seem to make it over here to the States, which is too bad. So, if you know some good ones that you want us to hear, when we have the next REQUEST video then send it on in to us, I would love to hear more from Australian Artists. By the way, glad to hear from you, I haven't seen you comment in a bit.

Oh, I just went out and checked out the Rockwiz thing but I couldn't any sound but, there was another video of him playing this song "live" at his age now, with 3 woman doing the do ba ba, the song is alot more serious in the way he sings it now, but it was still great, he just made it funny back in the day. But it was good to see the old fella is still Rockin

This is a wonderful song from my youth, sadly the bass guitarist Paul Jeffreys & his newly wed wife were amongst the victims of the Pan Am 103 bombing in December 1988 over Lockerbie in my home country Scotland. ♥🙏🏻💙

I thought it even had a little bit of the Cars sound in a way, or in like certain songs but the guy was cracking me up.

@@RockinReactionRollersI agree, The Cars and also the Talking Heads had that quirkiness thing going on, which I love, and this does remind me of something either of those bands could have done.

There are several on this channel that really like Rock n Roll songs from Australia, or you guys have some great musician there. For our next REQUEST video that we put out, we would love to hear some great requests from you or anyone living close that know who these great Rockers were. I have really liked every song I have heard from any musician there, I feel like we missed out on alot of great music, and would love to take some "deep dives"

@@RockinReactionRollers Sorry for getting back to you earlier. I completely missed your message! I'm more than happy to bring my sister onto your channel and some of our friends. There's an Australian music forum with members that ask reaction channels to listen to some Aussie stuff.
Australian rock had its peak in the 70's and 80's, due to a strong live music scene and an industry that was young and healthy. We got to experience a lot of amazing local music with bands/artists playing up to 7 days a week. I remember seeing Men At Work, INXS, Divinyls, and Midnight Oil in one week of 1982, and that was just an average week.
Many detractors deny it, but Countdown also had a lot to do with the growth of Australian music. I suggest

Steve Harley sung Phantom of the Opera on the single (with Sarah Brightman) when the show first started. I loved this song when it was in the UK charts back when I was 15.
