Will they fit under the pants? (not skinny jeans of course) and more important are they comfortable enough for 8hrs a day in the office (with only little walking)?

Been struggling to find boots that fit around my calves. I’ll get the foot size perfect but then they don’t do up at the top. Does this adjustment system at the top really work? Or what are some other boots that have a wider top?

Unfortunately, it does not look like there is calf adjustability on this particular boot. I've heard people have good luck with Sidi boots.
