    Verse 1]
This exhausting week and the many long days are behind
There's only bar and piña colada on my mind
There is some time for a few, the night is still youngish
This icy shell is something I have to demolish
    [Chorus]
Holding on the drinks with both hands tied on them like a
Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, no

Yet the expression I have on my face is sour
    Yeah, yeah, ye, ye, yeah

This icy shell is something I have to demolish
The floor is calling me when I'm no longer so frozen
Like a cha cha cha I am approachin'
    [Chorus]

    [Post-Chorus]
    I head towards dance floor
    Like a cha, cha, cha
And this world ain't making me scared no more
    Like a cha, cha, cha
When champagne all over myself I pour
    [Bridge]
Cha, cha, cha, one eye keeps turning crossed too far
And talking is so hard when this different side of me does its part
Cha, cha, cha, I don't usually go and drop my guard, not me
But now I am that guy, now I am that guy
    [Post-Chorus]
    I head towards dance floor
    Like a cha, cha, cha

Yeah, the old staging was the best both thematically with the boxing ring, and how shoddy it was. It was even more quintessentially Finnish, but I get that they needed more elevation for the big stage.

    • @sielukettu
      @sielukettu 10 місяців тому +1

@@vanyadolly I liked many things better; close-up of Käärijä in the beginning, his crouching pose and camera angles, that the dancers were very precise and professional at the first part; great contrast and surprising with crazy music and Käärijä.
His funny dance didn't feel rushed , in Eurovision he basically ran during it.
I liked the human centipede moves better and that they raised him up in the air.
Also the simpler color theme of green, gold and pink.
      Rant over :D
Of course it had to be different for the big stage after all. Maybe the same thing just would'nt have worked 🤷🏽‍♀️

My personal favourite was Italy. It's a beautiful song and Marco left his whole heart on that stage.
Croatia, from the stand of relevance, message, performance and fully understanding the asigment. Though understanding the lyrics brings the whole thing to a whole different level. I was a little unsure at first, as it looks like a big joke at first glance. But it's not. It's just wonderful.
Portugal was just pure fire 🔥
    Moldova always brings it.

I really LOVED the song and performance - so innovative - I mean, that huge shadow in the background and the crazy version of a human centipede-thingie, there are so many layers of fun and craziness and I would have loved for them to win.❤️❤️❤️
Then I heard and read about all the hatred towards Loreen (who won), both personally and proffesionally. Wow, that was a huge turnoff in all ways possible and saddened me. 😔😢💔

Yeah that was super uncalled for. Loreen didn't do anything else than perform REALLY F*KING WELL. That the judges screwed Käärijä wasn't her fault by any stretch of the imagination. And very much not in the spirit of the person käärijä is. He is about inclusivity and anti-bullying, and anyone who hated on Loreen in his name should really take a long hard look first at what he is about, and then in the mirror.

This isn't my kind of music. But I thought it was a fun performance. And I said to another reactor, before the competition, that I thought the Eurovision fans would love it. And they did. :)
So, I like never vote in this competition, or it can be counted on one hand how many times I've voted, even though I've grown up with this thing. I'm not a big fan but I watch it if I don't have anything else to do. I do like to see the many different contributions as a fun thing to watch. I actually did vote last year. And as it happens it was Finland as well because my favorite group from Finland, The Rasmus was competing. They stole my heart 20 years ago and I was so surprised to see them in this competition. It's not their usual scene. They sadly didn't place very high but I loved their energetic performance. They've done some different styles in their music but with their contribution they brought back some of their early 2000's sound.

I think you might have missed that this is a piss-take song - comedy and artistic gold, taking down the seriousness, posturing and politics of Eurovision. Those terrifying dancers in pink with the maniacal white smiles (that he has enslaved) are ballroom dancers, as is the name of the song/chorus Cha Cha Cha.

Song is about like how he is kinda antisocial at work week, then he hits to the bar, drinks few pina coladas, still feel bit that, but after few more he gets to the dance floor and gets unwinded and starts drinking champange and is not that uptight antisocial man....

You really should have a look at some of the oddball highlights of Eurovision like Verka Serduchka or the russian grandmothers etc.
Btw I'm a Swede and have unfortunately had to abandon patriotism to admit that Käärijä should have been the winner.

Since you try to decode his appearance, let me give you a hint:
    -view some gorilla images
-watch some videos of how they walk
    -watch Cha Cha Cha again
Käärijä is the big winner of the audience, witch is millions in comparison to the jury, who are a bunch of experts.
Käärijä's performance (and his character) is what made it so popular.
If one just listens to the song without watching his performance, one can easily think that it's music for carnival bumper cars.

    • @Pleasegivemeschoki
      @Pleasegivemeschoki 11 місяців тому +2

The other things, although not being phrased very nicely, are probably just your opinion so i won’t comment on it- but unless I understood it the wrong way, saying that the jury’s judgement matters more, when they’re only referred to as being experts in general while never disclosing in what field of expertise, what genre, what profession etc. is very…well interesting. The jury set-up has so many issues from there only being 5 jurors, sometimes only 4 even, no matter how big the country making 5 people with little to know diverse musical knowledge have the same exact power as MILLIONS(like you already said but it’s definitely not a good thing), to those jurors mostly only having pop-expertise(some of them are literal radio hosts and such which is far from being a musical expert). Their only job is to be subjective and to only judge from 4 criteria without bias and to appreciate and help professional performances that are likely to not be a public-fav, but that simply isn’t the case. When a very masterfully done metal song with flawless vocals, good staging and a lot of originality(like germany this year) gets a total of 3 points a.k.a last place even falling below a not very original pop song with some of the worst vocals of the night, or albania with a gorgeous balkan style ethnic song and good staging and wholesome performance basically scoring barely anything as well, or slovenia with a very unique indie-rock song and great vocals sung in their native language getting 19th/26 , it’s just so extremely obvious that the thing that’s supposed to keep the contest unique is the reason that makes it harder for any diverse genre to really succeed

NOOOO YOU MISSED THE BEST PART WITH THE TOUNG BECAUSE YOU LOOKED AWAY! Ugh! 😩😔😒 Also if you didn’t know the reason he ends with the phrase “It’s crazy It’s party” is because he released a song with the same name the same year as he released Cha Cha Cha but after, well I think at least, as far as I’ve understood it but of course I could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️ but yeah, but if I’m wrong it’s just a nice phrase and meaning too so 😊👏🏻🖤💚

He is influenced by Rammstein, that’s a Rammstein logo tattooed over his heart. The heavy sound along with a europop kind of beat is very rammstein! As well as the pyro at the end. Also it’s worth going to look for the lyrics in English. It’s a real journey about shedding toxic masculinity and finally feeling relaxed enough to go out and dance. Fantastic song and performance!
