It's her first album after becoming a mother the sexual theme is strong because she was more confident than ever It's basically was her I still got it moment.
Writing this before watching. This is the album that changed music for me. I remember it clear as day, I woke up a 17 year old not interested in albums hahaha Looking forward to seeing this experience for you Steven! For me this is one of those pivotal moments within music, I hope you enjoy it! (Ill be back to reply after watching)
You are spot on. In the BTS for this album she mentioned how having Blue ignited this self love for her body, curves, and all the changes a woman’s body goes through when they have baby. She wanted to combat this idea that women who have babies can’t celebrate their bodies and somehow be sexy as well. Spot on.
Bey definitely became more liberated in this record, not necessarily the first time she did this type of song but def the first time she felt fully confident in herself to just say and do whatever was on her mind.
Beyoncé’s long songs are the beeest! Rocket, Virgo’s groove, all night, II hands to heaven… omg! But Rocket is sooo rich I can’t explain. Another song that is one of my favorites is dance for you in the album "4", is so sensual and sexy but vocally is so powerful😮💨🤌🏻
Everything is Love React! Completely underrated because of low listens (because it wasn’t available on Apple).. completely different vibe because it’s a blend of Jays and Beys style.
This is my favorite Beyoncé album especially since there is a music video for every song. And also third eye blind (my fav band of all time me and my bff have seen them in concert at least 13 times) and they did an awesome cover of “Mine” 😬
i think you should definitely listen to Jay’s 4:44 album and then their joint album ‘Everything Is Love’ to get the rest of the story of him cheating. you probably will still hear or watch things of Bey’s and think “how can you do that to this woman” but it really wasn’t about her and more so his problems
You're spot on with your analysis of XO and it being about the crowd too, she legit sings it on stage at a festival with the crowd. Also check out the video for XO, it'll put the song in perspective even more
No its not, actually is about her mom, Tina's friend who passed away and Beyoncé plays Tina in the video and Ashley is her mom's friend... but she have a song about her miscarriage in her documentary, Life is but a dream
@@TBarlow01 not in this case.. she said she made the music videos for these songs on Self-Titled so people can see the vision what was in her mind while she was singing the songs and the video for Heaven is about loosing a friend
2:04 Pretty Hurts
8:00 Haunted
14:15 Blow
19:04 No Angel
22:40 Jealous
26:28 Rocket
33:11 XO
36:23 Superpower
41:15 Heaven
46:19 Blue
You are amazing.

I highly recommend the album The Gift by Beyonce and the accompanying film Black Is King!

Amazing Album
This album was almost shelved, the label didn’t believed in it but she convinced them to let her release it on her own.
You should also react to The Gift 😍
My favorite switchs was during Yonce'/ Partition from this album
Heaven was written and produced by Beyoncé and BOOTS.

4 is her best Project. Please listen to it 🥹🤌🏿
Heaven is about her miscarriage, before she had her other children 💔
No its not, actually is about her mom, Tina's friend who passed away and Beyoncé plays Tina in the video and Ashley is her mom's friend... but she have a song about her miscarriage in her documentary, Life is but a dream
